I am a regular at this bar, I’ve always loved Sue’s, this is my go-to place to grab a beer. I had brought my water bottle in, which I didn’t know was not allowed, when Nixon the door man approached me and very aggressively grabbed my water bottle. At first I thought he was joking and I tried to take it back and then he told me- in an incredibly, overly authoritative, and threatening tone- that I needed to go put it in the car or that he would kick me out. Of course I went and put my water bottle in my car because I just did not know that it was not allowed, and I apologized for my mistake. He scoffed. Nixon, being a big and tall guy, spoke to me, as a woman, in a way that was entirely inappropriate. Ive always felt welcomed at Sues and protected by the staff. I am honestly astonished that Sues would hire someone that acts like this. All I have ever encountered at this bar are friendly, gentle, and understanding staff and this man completely soured my experience here. I love Sues and plan to come back, of course, but I would strongly urge you to do something about this staff member that clearly does not suit the environment that Sues creates. Thanks
