My fiancé and I enjoyed the most wonderful dinner at Hoof and Vine. The service was incredible, and our waitress Lara took exceptional care of us. I had the tenderloin and my fiancé had the elk. Both meals were utter perfection from start to finish. Do yourself a favor and order the grilled artichoke to start with. We will most certainly be back!

We have celebrated many anniversaries, birthdays and date nights at Hoof & Vine. Every single time we've gone, the staff has been knowledgeable about menu items and has made us feel welcome. They're always very attentive and friendly while being intentional with setting the mood of the occasion. The consistency and reliability of the food is spot on. Like a good Scotch, Hoof & Vine satisfies a craving that only something that has been perfected and consistently recreated can assuage.

Had a dinner date with husband (and baby). Waitress was great, food was amazing, but they did something that set them apart! We brought little snacks/food for our baby and hardly used them because our waitress brought out a bowl of berries “so the baby doesn’t feel left out” haha. I’ve never had a restaurant give us food for a baby (for free). The baby gobbled them up and it made me appreciative cause it kept the baby entertained/occupied and I didn’t have to share my amazing meal haha?. So nice they even thought of it! One thing to note is it’s kinda dark in the restaurant but other than that it was amazing! Husband had the elk, I had the tenderloin, and we both had bread (you can buy the butter at the Sandy Farmers Market yum!), house salads, blueberry lemon sorbet, and mashed potatoes—all so so good!!
Kid-friendliness: We were prepared with snacks for our baby but hardly used them because our waitress brought out a bowl of berries that kept our baby fed and occupied the whole time we ate our entree.

Hoof & Vine was excellent by every measure. The atmosphere and decor are excellent, the waiter we had was delightful and engaging, and the meal we had was outstanding.
There are two small details that keep me from giving this place five stars food food and they are very minor. But if you're going to charge a premium price then there are high expectations that come with it.
First is the crab cakes. Tasted great but some of them only had a sear on one side and a few of them had a cool center.
Second is a mashed potatoes and veg. The potatoes were pretty plain. The vegetables could of used a sear or any kind of cooking (maybe they were steamed?) and the asparagus was pretty chewy.
These are very minor complaints and overall this place is excellent from appetizers to desserts. We will definitely be back next time we're in Utah.

The wine pairing dinners continue to impress with the buratta salad straight from the garden and a unique desert which I have never seen before. The peach cobbler cheese cake was absolutely delicious. My complements to Leia. Service was excellent and paced just right. The entire dinner was excellent from start to finish. Complements to Eric and all the staff for a wonderful evening.

Steak was good quality and well prepared to my preference of rare. Our server was attentive and friendly adding to the enjoyment of the evening meal. My colleague was visiting from Europe and thoroughly enjoyed the evening. Although the lighting in the restaurant was a little dimmer than I prefer (I wear glasses, and dim light makes reading the menu difficult) this is a venue I would recommend to my friends and business associates.

Overall meal was great, restaurant is quiet and very nice setting for most any occasion. Had the strip which was cooked perfect and excellent flavor. Only downside to the whole experience was when I and another added the "4 jumbo prawns" as noted on the menu. We had only 2 prawns brought out for each of us, and when I asked the server said yeah we need to update the menu, they used to be "smaller" prawns but now these are truly "jumbo." So extremely misleading to think you're getting 4 but only get 2, and it was $16, so really horrible value there. Other than that, meal was really good.

We walked in 2 minutes before they opened and caught them having a bite as a "family" would, I felt horrible breeaking that up, but they assured us it was fine. The place is VERY clean and welcoming. The staff was cheery and welcoming and the food was absolutely perfect. In 34 years of taking my wife on a date night, this was hands down the best experience we have ever had in any type of restaurant. It is definitely on our rotation of places to go.
