This place was a decent surprise! Sadly I don’t remember the waitress’s name, but she’s a brunette, Caucasian girl who reportedly “doesn’t usually work Mondays 😂”. She was great company! Gave recommendations as well as bartender’d up a few drinks for us.

I came for dinner on a work trip and for many of my team, this was our first impression of Utah, let alone the food. I just want to say thank you for having us and I’ll definitely try to fit this place into my next visit!

PS: The “Big Ass Pretzel” is genuinely a Big Ass Pretzel! 😂 (delicious too)

How this place has passed any health inspections is beyond me. Ordered a drink and my glass had three very obvious lipstick marks around the rim and grubby handprints all around the outside. Can you at least attempt to clean your glasses before using them to serve new customers? It was super busy and I didn’t want to make more work for the waitress since it wasn’t her fault, so I just paid and left. Won’t be back.

Watching the Bar Rescue of The Midway. My stepson and I went there Saturday night. I like to try places I've never been. Arriving that evening I was surprised there weren't many people inside. We sat and waited for someone to recognize we were there.... and it took longer than I think it should, especially when there were a number of employees at the bar. But then things changed. Our server came to us and got things moving. I was starving so we ordered some drinks and the Midway Nachos. They showed up much faster than I expected and they were enormous and delicious. When we got that, we ordered food, and i was shocked how quick it all came also. Very impressed. So would I go back? For sure. I'd like to try other things on the menu. But, please train employees that they need to make sure their guests are priority. Overall, it was a good night.

My experience here was disappointing. And I wasn’t even expecting much. First, I came here with my Service Animal and they refused to let me keep him inside. I do mean Service Animal and not Emotional Support Animal. I tried to explain the difference but it took about 20 minutes for the doorman (not the manager) to ask a General Manager from another location who finally explained the difference. Even then, the focus was to make sure I knew that if my dog acted in any way that was outside the realm of Service Animal behavior, he would have to go outside. I understand the point of the rules, but after the way I was treated, making sure I knew that they could still ask me to leave was degrading, discriminatory, and insensitive. The manager was very dismissive saying “I’m not going to argue with you about it”.

So, after that exchange, I ended up staying (which seems absurd now) because it was my birthday and I was there for karaoke and hadn’t planned a backup. The bar boasts a brand new Karaoke system and has Karaoke every night so I was expecting Karaoke to be quite entertaining, but it wasn’t. The bar obviously doesn’t understand what a Karaoke atmosphere is supposed to be like. I don’t think they should have Karaoke because it isn’t in any way treated as the entertainment. Apparently they insist on keeping the volume of the microphone so low that even sitting right next to the speaker, I couldn’t hear people singing. When I was up, I couldn’t even hear myself singing (which really sucks if you are an amateur) because the music was so loud and the mic was so low. Not fun. There wasn’t much of the atmosphere of having a crowd of people participating in the enjoyment of the music, etc.

On top of everything else my group and the other groups around us, sat without service for 20 minutes before we went to the bar to order drinks. At the bar they told us that there were cocktail waiters that provided service to the area where we were sitting, but only three for the entire bar. The bar was quite full and they serve food so, it was woefully understaffed. We did eventually get the waitress to start serving us, but it was not great service due to the volume of people she was trying to take care of.

The only redeeming quality of the place was the fact that the building isn’t a piece of crap. I will never be back and I would not recommend it for anyone who wants to do karaoke or has a disability. I would have given them a second star for the fact that they keep their kitchen open so late which seems cool (although I can’t speak to the quality of the food), but I think that is also creating a situation where they are trying to do too much at once.

We’ve been dying to check out this place because of how fun it looked on “Bar Rescue”. The food was pretty good and the staff was super friendly, but they took out the fun red stripes and cute carousel horse…I really wanted to take a pic on it :(

The bartenders get a little too close for comfort, think they’re your friend, and then gossip about you when you’re not there. I even confronted her about it and she denied it. I stopped going there since.

Now here is our dislike was the karaoke.....
We got to sing one song we was told karaoke went until 1am at 12:25am we wanted to sing more and was told he had two people and there wasn't enough time so we sit watch and listen to the two people and then two people turned into 6 people! Was it because we were new or was it because the guy who was with us sang better than the karaoke host hmmm 🤔 I suppose we won't ever know! The way host treated us makes us wonder if coming back would be an option and we did spend a lot money 💰

This was the 3rd time that we went there. Food is always good. The problem this time was they let a older gentleman with two big white dogs come in and sit at the bar. These were not service dogs! There is even a sign on the door saying dogs not allowed. I love dogs but not inside a restaurant.
