Service and food were excellent. Our server made suggestions and we tried some new items we had not had before. Very helpful and courteous. All our entries were great. Very enjoyable evening.
Loved that we got the same service coming back here for a date night. Always appreciate the great service and food.
The restaurant didn't have our reservation . Manager and hostess were rude about it . Service was ad slow even though they were not busy
Fantastic food, best service around...might have eaten more and stayed longer if the prices were better and the environment more comfortable.
We had a very knowledgeable a flexible waitress! Very attentive! Good food except the steak skewers were very tough and chewy! We will definitely be back! Love the Gluten free choices!
Tonight the sushi was a little slow coming out but our server Blythe was great. Food was fantastic as always.
I don't know what is going on with this location but the last 2 times I have been here, it's been AWFUL and last night was no exception. We were sat upstairs and while our waitress was nice, she was horrible. She was forgetful, had an excuse for everything and was SO slow. It took ONE HOUR from us sitting down to get one item of our food. I ordered a cocktail that I get every time I come and it was disgusting and looked nothing like it normally does and that took 30 minutes from ordering to even get. We literally ordered 4 rolls, a side of rice and 3 cocktails and our service took 2+ hours. I will not be coming back to this location any time soon.
Maya was our server. She never checked in on us and we constantly had to ask other servers for what we needed. Pretty sure we were her only table also. Food was TO DIE FOR!
We missed our first reservation, when we were stuck in traffic. We called the restaurant and they confirmed we should still come. Tsunami's policy is to let go of your reservation if you miss it by 30 minutes. We arrived right at the tail end of the 30 minute window but the 2 people at the check in booth insisted we wait for the “booker” to check in which took us over the 30 minute window. We asked why they would not call and say we have cancelled your reservation they did nothing. We then were reassured we could be added to the wait list and told it would be a 10-15 minutes wait. They never called us or checked us in. While waiting I made a new reservation on open table and we were sat after again checking in for our reservation and waiting in the lobby again. People with later reservations than our new reservation, were being sat before us. The hostess group was clearly doing this intentionally. They even went to the efforts to say we no showed our second reservation with Open Table to block our ability to post about this experience. Upon sitting we were told there would be a 30 minute wait for food. There was hair on my child's food and an avocado pit in our sushi roll. Maybe these parts were coincidental but tiles reservation part was very intentional!
I have gone to multiple Tsunami restaurants, our favorite is the Lehi location. Today we were closer to the Union Heights location and thought it would be the same experience but it wasn't. We arrived 5 minutes before our reservation and they made us wait 15 minutes until after our reservation. The place wasn't full so I didn't understand why they made us wait. We always order the same thing so we placed our full order at the start and the calamari was like 15 pieces and usually it's a full plate. Then we got our drinks and our sushi rolls. The Dragon Roll didn't taste the same. My husband asked for the miso soup and teriyaki sauce for his steak, usually the miso comes first put the waiter never asked until we requested. My husband was waiting for the teriyaki sauce to eat his steak and it took another 15-20 minutes to get it. We usually order the coconut dessert but decided we shouldn't since it's not the same. Overall we were disappointed and will not return to this location. Again, the place wasn't full and the food quality was not the same to the Lehi, Sandy locations.

It was a great atmosphere. We had a big group but they were able to accommodate our two tables. Great service and great food!
We hadn't been to Tsunami for a long time but knew it was excellent! Our dinner was excellent, combination of sushis, noodles and beef. It was a wonderful birthday dinner.
We had family in town. Went to this location and had a good time. Food was delicious and the atmosphere was comfortable. Would go again.
Perhaps because we were upstairs and a little early, but the quiet made for lovely dinner conversations.
I visit this place frequently and typically have a good experiences. My last two visits have been disappointing. The kids avocado rolls came out with mashed brown and black avocado. The Jenny roll was foul odor and taste of warm old salmon. It took 1 hour to get our food and it was not busy. I expressed concern to waitress but she said thanks for letting her know with no solution. They charged me for the rancid rolls we didn't eat. I frequent this restaurant for almost weekly business lunches, but not after this experience.
