Dined at Midway Mercantile on Saturday night the food was mediocre. The service was horrible. I believe the server had been drinking and things did not go as I thought they should for the amount of the bill anyhow, I would avoid the Mercantile.
Halibut was delicious, great flavor with the curry base.
Lamb was tender and good flavor with the mash potatoes.
Cobb Salad was great.
The fondue was ok - they gave the option of gluten free bread. I personally wasn’t a fan of the flavor of the cheese.
But overall everything was awesome!
The most amazing brunch!! The food was so fresh and delicious. The chicken Sandwich was the best I’ve ever had! 12/10 would recommend!
Made the drive from Park City to Midway Mercantile in Midway (30 min). Love this place! 3rd visit. Great looking spot, killer heated patio, interesting menu and solid wine program. Had Oysters and Lamb T-Bone Chops. Both delicious. Had the awesome Shepherds Pie last time. Service friendly and professional. Owner John even passed by and chatted. Interesting and excellent place. Will be back!
Great food and fantastic service!! We’ll definitely be back!!
Loving this place is so easy. The hospitality is hard to beat. Waking in here everyone is so welcoming and happy to be there. Mae, Kyle, DJ and honestly every staff member, makes it so easy to keep coming back. It’s our go to date night out of all the places in town. The owner is amazing and the staff are so happy to be there which is evident. Thank you for being good to your customers. It feels like home at this establishment ❤️
Absolutely AMAZING experience. We had a group of 18 people and the owner John was very accommodating. The food was phenomenal, and our server Dustin was fantastic. Everyone was raving about the food all night and Midway far exceeded all of our expectations.
Delicious food, especially enjoyed the turkey sandwich! Great service and beautiful atmosphere. Highly recommend!

After coming over Guardsman Pass to view the fall colors, we stopped at the Mercantile for lunch. We weren’t the only people thinking of a beautiful afternoon drive and lunch in Midway.
The staff was slammed! Donald, a sous chef, left the kitchen and came out to help serve, bus tables whatever is needed (that’s putting your restaurant and your diners 1st)!
Jaime and the other staff person was the only two servers to cover the entire restaurant. They kept a positive attitude. They worked extremely hard. They put up with all the negative comments about why it took so long and couldn’t have done a better job. They were great!!!
The hostess was calm and welcoming, and absolutely open and honest. Letting people know that they were experiencing service delays and it would take a little while.
It’s sad that we become such an entitled society that we don’t look at people doing their jobs with some level of consideration and kindness. Can’t wait to go back!

We celebrated our wedding reception at Midway Mercantile on 10/25/2024, and it was simply unforgettable. From the moment we started planning, Connie, the sweetest woman in the world, went above and beyond to make sure every single request was met with warmth and care. She helped us customize every detail, from a custom beautifully printed menu to gluten-free options making everything feel personal and perfectly tailored to us.
The private room, steeped in 145 years of history, felt like stepping into a place where love stories belong. The ambiance was everything we dreamed of—beautiful, intimate, and special. Even the owner, John, welcomed us personally and made us feel like family, adding a unique touch that few places could offer.
Our server, DJ, was phenomenal—attentive, assertive, and genuinely invested in making our experience memorable. He made sure that every moment flowed seamlessly, allowing us to focus on each other and the people we love.
For my wife and me, this evening was about more than just a meal; it was a celebration of love, resilience, and finding each other in this big, wild world. Midway Mercantile didn’t just give us a place to hold our reception—they gave us an unforgettable experience that honored our journey. Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts.

The food was okay. It took quite a long time for the food to come out. The flavors on the burger didn't go well together so it was hard to enjoy. We also had someone with an allergy. We had to keep reminding the waitress and the food still came out wrong. Even after having it sent back to be fixed it came out again wrong and contaminated. We had two people there with Sheri's. One with dairy and one with gluten. We had the hardest time with the dairy allergy. The waitress also kept forgetting to bring out our drinks and we never actually got them. It wasn't very busy and there were only two other patrons at the time.

This place is just great! The service, atmosphere, and food are top notch. The kids menu is great and the seasonal pizza was soooo good. The owner and chef came out to greet us and say hello. Loves our experience here.

Expected more from a place that a lot of people recommended. Was a miserable meal on our anniversary and will not be returning. Service was pathetic. The food was mediocre, appetizer was premade and didn’t seem fresh. My oysters had bits of shell in several, if you can’t shuck them, don’t serve them.
My wife didn’t even eat her dinner after having a few bites. It was just atrocious.
People stop raving about Midway Mercantile.

This place may have good atmosphere, but the food and service was absolutely terrible. Severely understaffed, we waited 15mins to get our drink order in and 1.5h!!! for microwave pizza, frozen chicken tenders and a 17usd avocado salmon toast with a cold egg on top (pictured). Do not waste your time and money here.
