Take this review with a grain of salt because it was written in hanger. Thanks to the Swiss taco volunteer who turned me and my friends away 20 minutes before the food booth closed. My friends and I thought 6:30-6:45 would be a good time to go and get dinner. Wrong. When we tried to get in the Swiss taco line at 6:40 pm we were promptly turned away and told “we have to stop serving food at 7 pm and we have to feed all these volunteers here first.” I have no problems with feeding volunteers. They should be fed. But if feeding volunteers means you have to turn away paying customers 20 minutes before the food booth closing time, there is a problem. Even though the vendor booths were staying open until 8 pm, my friends and I left shortly after being turned away for food because we were all very hungry (and quite frankly hangry) and needed food. So we left to find a place that would feed us. There were some cool vendors there, but honestly I don’t think the long drive out there was worth it. If you live close to midway and don’t expect to eat dinner there, then you’ll probably have a much better experience.
We love attending Swiss Days as a vendor. It is such a fun environment and friendly people. It’s amazing that’s they have so many volunteers to run it and it goes so smoothly every year!
Great event for the entire family! The food, the music, the sheepdogs, the arts/crafts, the people…tons of fun!
We look forward to this event every year! I love Swiss Days!
Typically very crowded event...both days...plan for long walks to parking...great vendor booths, a variety of food and entertainment... beautiful Heber Valley
