Horrendous service. Had to redo my order three times and still didn’t get it right. Terrible experience

Great option for breakfast, coffee, and a view of the golf course if you're staying at the nearby campground. Jim and his team took good care of us!

Our second time at the cafe in two weeks. We've had mixed feelings about the food and service. Not what it was a year ago when we visited.
On our first visit, there was no menu except the one on a TV monitor which took awhile to see what was available. We made breakfast selections at the counter, and the server said no more breakfast was available. (Could he have said that earlier?) So we ordered lunch. The lunch was great, service so, so.
Our second visit for breakfast went ok a week later. This time the monitor was not working and they found menus for us. Much better service. Ordered biscuit and gravy. Very bland, probably wouldn't order again.
The place and location has a lot of potential. But it needs work. The website/Google site needs updating. The phone number was disconnected. Menus not accurate. With the views and golf course this could be a busy dinner place. But being tied to the State government it's pretty questionable if much can be done here.

Maybe good for breakfast or lunch, but not for dinner. For dinner, try the Blue Boar Inn or Midway Mercantile. Both are good bets.
After 30 years, we won’t return. Had to place our own order and received cold eggs-lunch last now as horrible as well. Sad to see a good thing go.

We have been regulars at the cafe for years. Sometimes 2-3 times a week for breakfast and lunch. It has been a tradition for us for 20 years. Recently the cafe was sold to a company out of Kansas City I think. New manager new server new food. It gives me absolutely no pleasure to say that the food is nowhere near what it used to be (which , under the capable talents of Dexter was excellent!). The wonderful women who worked in the cafe before were not just good at what they did but fun to be around. We miss them all terribly. The last time we took family for breakfast at the golf course the service was extremely slow (because they only have one young man serving and he is great but he is only one man.) we waited for almost an hour for truly simple meals, pancakes, breakfast sandwiches, and one order of chicken fried steak and gravy. The food was really terrible. The chicken fried steak was hard and the gravy was thick and goopy (is that a word?). The pancakes were okay but the kids could only eat a little of them as they were just a little under done. My breakfast sandwich had an egg that still had uncooked whites. I couldn’t finish it. In the end it cost us $72 for a breakfast that no one could eat.To tell you how bad it was we went back home and I made French toast for everyone because we just couldn’t eat the food. We will be finding a new place to have our traditional family breakfast outings. Unfortunately ?

Fairly decent food really. Bring your pink jumpsuit though.
Food was very bland - eggs and hash browns tasted like cheap, stale oil … beautiful views. French toast my kids got was better… but just so so.

Wasatch…for the burgers and the humming birds.
Delicious food and great service! The girls that work here are very kind and super efficient! My husband had an omelet and I had the special Chicken Fried Steak. Excellent hashbrowns, too. Will eat here again!

I had breakfast after playing golf. Food is great. The service was excellent.
Good burger, good service. Not too crowded.
Great food and atmosphere. There's the occasional j*** who doesn't want to pay for a cup of ice and acts all entitled, but it's a place of business, everything costs them money.
As a previous line cook here, I can say with experience that this place is in absolute need of new ownership and 100% turnover of employees.Very unprofessional, uneducated, and uncultured.Aside from the many examples I could give;My biggest concern is that health standards are not met. It is laughed about by the head chef/owner because the health inspector is not thorough whatsoever: being the only reason we pass health inspection.Proper sanitization is never used or enforced, raw meat is left rotting all around the kitchen, cross contamination is a daily occurrence, and the worst of all?The head “chef”/owner Mitch has been known to serve food after it’s been DROPPED ON THE FILTHY KITCHEN FLOOR.Even if there weren’t these problems, the food is mediocre at best, overpriced, and not taken seriously whatsoever. If you ever attend a banquet or event here, be aware that your meal will consist of laziness such as instant potatoes, and laughed about because of the lack of care.ALSO, both of the owners are hardly involved as they are never seen to work more than 5 hours a day due to personal addictions.I can’t stress enough the lack of proper hand washing, sanitization, ingredient handling, and especially LEADERSHIP.This place is an absolute joke.
last night was our first time we visited this excellent restaurant. But It is definitely not the last. We enjoyed the evening a lot with the good service, with the exceptional food and wine and with the honest charge. We will absolutely visit there in a short time.
