I'll start with the storefront: very clean, open seating. 4 starsService: Dude was kinda weird. It was my first time in, I asked what was popular and he looked at me weird and started going off about how "everything is amazing we have thousands of people come in weekly, everyone loves everything" in a very ego stroking manner, but all in all he was okay. 3 starsThe food: YIKES.Albeit, as a southern boy I'm picky about BBQ and have high expectations, but this wasn't even close to decent.The shredded brisket - Had the flavor and consistency of croc pot roast beef.The ribs - Boiled? Very wet. Okay flavor though.The Mac n cheese literally tasted like pennies (or canned noodles? Maybe it's the packaging) and the beans were very...ketchup flavored.The cornbread is on point, the sweet butter isn't needed.The peach cobbler is more like a bread pudding but not awful.I've come to terms that there isn't a place in Utah that truly knows how to smoke. Summary: This was a let down for an American staple that is southern BBQ.EDIT: I've noticed the owner repeatedly commenting on low reviews saying "nope, you didn't eat here". Well unless there's another Rose's Carolina BBQ in Milcreek off of 3300 S... you're full it.

I really liked my side salad, ribs and cornbread. My husband also liked the ribs and cornbread but didn't like the baked beans at all. He said they tasted like vinegar. I would have tried the green beans but they were out. The mixed greens salad was really good. I liked the Luke's BBQ sauce.
Food was fantastic!! The older gentleman that waited on me was, uh, to say the least, interestingly odd and can't hear well. Good thing the food was the bomb!

The service was great. The corn bread was very delicious. This is where the good stuff ends. The food needs some work. The half rack ribs were so hard that my teeth almost fell out of my gums rather than the meat falling off the bone. I thought I was eating a beef jerky BBQ. We left 5 minutes after our food was served. Most of that time was being polite and taking a doggy bag, literally for the dog. I will not be a repeat customer.

In a sea of mediocre barbeque from Venture Capitalist owned BBQ restaurants (cough cough R&R) , Charlotte-Rose stands out as my top choice for BBQ in SLC. We recently used them for catering at my job, we typically order 2 times a month, so over the last 2 years we've had over 48 different resturaunts bring us catering, this is the hands down the best we've ever had despite the order being HUGE!Our Company slack is currently blowing up demanding they come back.
