Due to my grain allergy there are only a handful of restaurants where I can eat. Shanashel Mediterranean Cuisine is one of them. They prep everything, including the shwarma, in house. My personal favorite is the hummus, falafel & Tikka chicken. We eat here at least twice a month. If you are in the Salt Lake Valley and enjoy middle eastern cuisine I highly recommend. Recently, we had a large family gathering of 20 people, and the staff handled it wonderfully. Our server was attentive and friendly, making sure everyone was taken care of. The food is made fresh daily and always tastes great. Since everything is prepared to order, it can take a little time, but it's well worth the wait for the quality. Be sure to order the tea &/or coffee. No alcohol is served at this establishment.

Nice place with plenty of seating and good décor. Service was friendly, portions were big, and we really liked the grill and kebab platters. The kibbeh was a bit bland, but overall a solid spot for Middle Eastern food in SLC

What a great find today for our lunch! The Lamb and Chicken Kababs were absolutely delicious! The rice was the best I have ever had! The salad was like a party of flavors.
Our friends ate the Shawarma beef platter and wraps and they were excellent. The tzatziki was superb! We will definitely be back to enjoy this place. We also liked the quiet atmosphere where we could enjoy good conversation. Thank you to the owners for a delightful experience! Easy to eat gluten free here as well since I am celiac!

got sick here, likely from undercooked chicken tikka (could tell as i was eating it/immediately after).
Food is decent.
Service is the worst! The only nice servant who actually wants to work is the Asian lady.
The Arabic servants are so rude and not professional.
Halal food is served here
half chicken is heavenly. only costs 20 bucks and fed me and my 3 kids! will definitely go back

The food wasn't good
The price to much without good service,we ordered family grilled mix and we ask for bread they said you have to make another order to get bread
They shorted me a pita because I ordered two appetizers that both had pita on the side… so they just decided I only needed 1? Not sure… the food was good though. Just sad I spent so much on a falafel and hummus and didn’t even get my full order.
