Great brisket sandwich and truffle mac
Great place to stop if you’re on the way to Canyonlands or Arches National Parks. Clean and inviting, they have a coffee counter, good snacks, pastries, sandwiches, ice cream treats, and good souvenirs.
The chef bakes fresh bread (and pastries) daily and it’s superb on all the sandwiches. We loved the chicken parm sandwich on focaccia and it was plenty large to share. Top it off with the chocolate mousse pie. Yummy!! Super friendly service and either indoor or outdoor seating. We recommend sitting out on the shaded porch and soaking in the views.
JJ’s Mercantile use to have the best breakfast burrito I’ve ever had. I think about that burrito often. But my last time visiting today I was so disappointed to hear that they do not serve hot food anymore and the whole menu was gone. I was told by the cashier that the manager found out they were serving hot food and got upset about it. They should change the sign out front which says “breakfast and lunch” are served if they don’t do that anymore.
Fun stop while cruising for views on 128. Employee was engaging and helpful. Super cute garden on site for honor pick-your-own. Liked looking through the unique gifts and small batch soda options. Nice merch. Views are phenomenal! Would have liked to try a made to order sandwich from the menu.
This is in a beautiful location and the staff is so friendly and helpful. The reason I give it a 3 is they do not make and prepare all the foods. I wish they did. A few bakery items are made from scratch but the rest is farmed out to a food service company. The food is bland and no healthy choices. Hire people who have culinary experience or enjoy cooking. Make a soup or chill, put together salads, make a healthy chicken, roast beef or turkey sandwich not processed lunch meats like they do. The items we tried that were baked fresh were outstanding. Also hire a cleaning crew. The front and side porch furniture is in desperate need of cleaning and the spider webs are taking over. We stopped in 3 years ago and this place was great. Sadly it has gone downhill. Remember, one has to spend money to make money on a place that could be great place again. Hopefully the management will take this advice because they have a great location here.
Super welcoming, perfect spot to stop for a coffee and delicious muffins.
This is a wonderful shop if only it was open later and year round. If you're driving by and they're open, it's a great option for fresh food and adult beverages.
The store also sells some packaged food and drinks, souvenirs, stickers, & toiletries.
This place was outta this world! Happened upon it on way to Arches. The lovely chef makes INCREDIBLY delish pastries & quiche & breads. Gotta go go... oh & her candied bacon was unbelievable!
Apple bacon was awesome and the cinnamon rolls are out of this world. We enjoyed our little stop here as everything was nice New perfect and Fresh. Thanks, Limomike.

We enjoyed our coffee stop. We views are amazing and the bathroom was super clean.
I recently visited, and although the place wasn’t crowded—only six to eight customers there for coffee and a bite—I waited around 35 minutes without even being acknowledged. Not a single check-in or greeting from the staff. Honestly, I just left. It’s a shame because the place is beautiful, and the location is fantastic. With service improvements, it could be so much better, but as it stands, the service here is among the worst I’ve experienced.
It's a warm shop filled with local charm. The appeal of this restaurant is that it has carefully selected local ingredients such as fresh vegetables, local honey, and freshly baked bread. In addition, there are craft items and original miscellaneous goods made by artisans, making it a fun spot not only for shopping but also for browsing. The atmosphere inside the store is cozy and relaxing, and the staff is friendly and helpful, so you can feel free to stop by. Highly recommended for those looking for local flavors and unique items.
After a long hike I wanted to stop and get an ice cream and the wife a coffee. We had stopped here before and had a good experience so wanted to stop again plus show my folks who are from Oregon this cute store. It was a failure this time which is a bummer. Wives coffee wasn’t right and my ice cream was almost level with the top of the cone. It was a waste of $15!!
Very nice shop. Unfortunately the service was unfriendly. The breakfast is expensive and only moderate...
