Good food, great friendly service, and a hometown local vibe at very reasonable prices. What more could you ask for? I had a double cheeseburger with grilled onions cheddar cheese and pepper jack, with seasoned fries, the fries are the best around burgers are delicious and very filling too. The welcoming staff and atmosphere make Mel's place well worth the drive to Mona! I will definitely be back!
The onion bites were a little greasy, but the Halibut sandwich was very good. This place was recommended when I was hiking near Nephi, and I'm glad I went there over the normal fast food choices. I also got some corn dog bites that were very good and not greasy at all.

Yummy place to stop on our way home. If you're craving a yummy burger this is a great option. I had the cheese burger with pastrami, it was everything I love in a burger. They have salads and shakes and more too. Service was very kind, they got a pretty big rush when we got there, but our food came out quickly and it looked like everyone else was as pleased as we were.

I do not live in Mona but have made special trips just to eat here. This is like a Small town drive in with a really large menu. The owner has been always around when we visit and it's very obvious he wants to make sure you have good food and a comfortable visit. The onion bites are yummy but beware they come in a large serving so plan on sharing. Burgers and hotdogs all are great. My favorite though are the baked goods at the counter especially the no bake cookies and sugar cookies. My kids like that there are even family games to play while hanging out at Mel's.
