We came in to grab ice cream after the Utes game. I understand they were busy but we ordered a gotta have it. She didn’t get enough ice cream and instead of getting more she mixed the small amount she had, put it in the cup, and got 2/3 more of plain ice cream and stuck it on top and handed it to us and walked away. I asked the girl who checked us out if they could please mix it and add more mix ins as 2/3 the ice cream was plain. She seemed annoyed and asked if she could just sprinkle some on top. I said no, we came here because of the mix ins can you please mix it. She was very annoyed and went over to the other girl and speaking loud enough we could hear at the register, meaning the entire line could hear it, made poor comments about us requesting it be redone as all of the girls working stopped to stare at us. Extremely unprofessional when all I was asking was for them to deliver the product and we were paying for and not do a poor job at it. My husband loudly stated how unprofessional it was of them to be talking poorly about customers on the working line and they all just stared and uttered zero remorse or apology.

Everyone was really diligent with their jobs I didn’t see anyone slacking off. They were well trained. Yung especially, he’s the one that helped us with our order. He was really patient and well informative. We asked to try almost all the ice cream they had ?. Toward the end he even informed us about their rewards program which is pretty neat! Only reason why I’m putting 4 starts under the food category is because it was our first time going and we didn’t know how everything was going to taste together.

This is my local cold stone location and my husband and I come here often. The staff is always kind, helpful, and work quickly. They always have a wide variety of flavors and sweet treats available. CJ is our favorite and is always happy to see us and help!

There are honestly teenagers who run this cold stone, but they are very caring, considerate, and generous. They’ve always been very fast at getting our ice cream “churned” out…. With or without a line.

I walked in the door and made eye contact with an employee who was wearing headphones. She completely ignored me and said morning to acknowledge me it say something like be with you in a moment. There was another person there who also ignored me and kept doing something without any acknowledgement or assistance. I stayed several minutes hoping that one of them would help me. I made sure to make eye contact again but we still totally ignored. Do I walked out and did not purchase anything because they appeared to be unconcerned about helping a customer. If these employees treat others this way they won't be in business long. This was on 7/25/24 at the 5200 South State St location on Utah. Totally awful, actually non-existent customer service. Looks like they can't be troubled to help customers like they were hired to do. If I was the employer they would be disciplined or fired.

I thought cold stone employees knew the importance of avoiding cross-contact. I found a nut in my ice cream that caused me to have a serious allergic reaction. Luckily, I’m not the kind of person who dies from that sort of mistake. I hope that the staff gets trained on this sort of thing, because my friend died from the same thing at a cookie shop a few years ago.

Allergies are real. Don’t let your employees be careless enough to kill customers.

Good luck getting helped at this location. Service is glacial slow. 3 out of 3 times it’s taken 20-30 minutes to get an ice cream and lines were only 3-5 customers. You’ll wait 10-15 minutes to get help or acknowledged you exist even if it’s your turn in line. 3 employees and only one is helping in-store customers at a time. The only reason I gave them one star is there was one employee that was really pleasant one visit. Still took me 30 minutes.

Avoid this location. Save some time and drive to the other location 10 minutes away.

We ordered a cake that they said would feed 14 people, when we went to pick it up it was only an 8 inch cake, that won't feed 14 people. So they offered us a larger cake but it had nothing to do with the type we ordered, (I hate red velvet, I ordered strawberry), and it wasn't even done on time.
