We really like this food and we go often. It’s a very casual atmosphere with authentic Mexican food and a wide variety on the menu. For a special treat we order Mojarra Frita, a deep-fried tilapia fish served with rice, beans, lettuce, avocado, queso fresco, and corn or flour tortillas. It’s made fresh to order, so it will take 25-30 minutes to prepare but is well worth the wait. Service seems slow most of the time.

La Tormenta brings together great service, strong value, and delicious food—without the hype. It doesn’t try too hard to be fancy. It just does what it does very well: serve solid Mexican food that makes you glad you showed up.

If I were giving a grade, it’d be “highly recommend.” Whether you’re grabbing a casual meal after work or looking for a reliable spot with friends, this place fits the bill.

Saying this restaurant exceeded my expectations would be an understatement. From the moment I stepped out of my car, I was greeted by the rich, mouthwatering aromas of Mexico—the land of my ancestors—filled with cinnamon, roasted chiles, and the fragrance of fresh ingredients prepared with love.
