I’ve only recently discovered how fun Gandy Dancer Mercantile is. Live music, yummy food, ice cream, muffins are all delicious and the owners are very friendly and welcoming. Lotsa books and an awesome place to just hang out. Great vibes and Cozy atmosphere is a 10!

Don't let the ice cream shop category fool you. The Gandy Dancer has low cost meals and lots of other treats. The night was very festive with live music and lots of seating. The food options are basic but have key staples like burgers. The soup was fantastic. The owners are the nicest couple.

We stumbled on this spot randomly and we're so happy about it! I haven't seen live music, a group of 30+, dancing, etc. since pre-COVID. This was a lovely little surprise. There is an area for children as well, stocked with paper, crayons, children's books and toys.
Kid-friendliness: This was an excellent spot for parents that want to listen to music, interact with adults and get a bite to eat + ice cream after. There is a coloring/toy area for kids and the atmosphere is music-filled and welcoming.

What a wonderful cozy atmosphere! The food was great and we discovered that they even have lower carb desserts so I don't have to feel guilty eating ice cream in front of my wife. Loved the live music.
Dietary restrictions: They have lower Carb Ice Cream on request, Also they have a no Carb Root beer float.

Should take down the "FRESH FUDGE" sign out front if they -only- make it during Christmas. Frustrating to see it marked all over through the year but not actually have any available like it says out front.
Didnt try anything else there and will not go back for another visit since it is so far out of our way.

We make it a point to stop here when we're in town visiting family. We love the atmosphere, the places to relax and read, and, of course, the food and ice cream. The owners are wonderful to chat with and exude kindness and warmth. I recommend you come when there's live music.

A hang out for everyone, but the 55+ people enjoy the ease and welcoming vibe. Ice cream and other treats are available. Some sandwiches. They have limited days open,Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Local musicians play and chat with the crowd. Gandy Dancer also sells fun socks, locally made jewelry, books...fun to shop while eating your ice cream cone. Owners are appreciative that you stopped in and truly are invested in giving a place for everyone to belong.
Parking: Can park in front on Washington Blvd or in large lot on 40th and Washington.
