I went to Harp & Hound last night with three friends for dinner, and ordered one of the restaurants listed "Favorites": Shepherd's Pie. It is described as "Sirloin simmered with carrots, peas, and onions in Guinness gravy topped with mashed potatoes and melted cheddar & jack." A glaring problem: there was absolutely zero sirloin in it. I mentioned this to the waitress and she shrugged. She said that there are many such complaints about this dish, and she regularly informs the chef about it. And obviously, the chef could care less as this is an often repeated occurrence. Clearly, it is ridiculous for this to happen, take place regularly, and for the customer not to be compensated in any way. Quite a scam!

We go there every Sunday morning for breakfast. They make a special plate for me called a Stan Slam and delicious and filling. The service is almost like family. It's relaxing with a comfortable environment. Don't know why you would want to go anywhere else! They have the best fries in Utah bar none. Try the country fried steak you can cut with a fork, and the best fish and fries you'll find anywhere. Enjoy the food and atmosphere, it's perfect no matter what time of day you're ready. Stan

I love going to the Harp n Hound, the food is great. The Dublin Down burger is one of my favorite dinners in the area. Something is off about the Guinness however, the pour always has a HUGE head of foam and the taste just isn’t the same as other good pints I’ve had. Nowhere in Ogden has a proper pour of Guinness and I wish Harp n Hound did.

After attending a musical performance at the Bigelow, we were deciding where to go for a late dinner when we saw this place in the same block.
Sooo glad we stopped. We shared a veggie pizza and an order of glazed brussel sprouts--which are absolutely wonderful, btw.
The delicious pizza was way larger than I expected for $14, and there were so many sprouts in the appetizer, I took some to go.
As an added bonus, they had my favorite beer on tap, and my dining partner said the lemonade was good.
We intended to share an order of Beignets for dessert, but we couldn't even finish what we already ordered.
They were quite busy, and once another server was advised we hadn't ordered, she immediately covered for an associate, who was overwhelmed by a large group, and she made sure we were well-taken care of.
I was just visiting Ogden, but I would go out of my way to come here again. My only regret is that I'm unlikely to be here again in the near future.
