Roosters was great, highly attentive staff, nice atmosphere, good food, and a large beer selection. Recommend the gorgonzola burger, it was really good. I arrived with a large-ish group (8) and we were seated quickly. Our server was really great, got drinks out quickly, was always checking back, and even bantered with a semi-rowdy group of well meaning orney fellas. Food came out, everyone enjoyed their entrees. If you're in Ogden or Layton (multiple locations) it's worth a stop.
Very over priced for what it is.
The food, service, and atmosphere was excellent. Will absolutely be back here next time I'm in the area!
Pesto pasta was flavorless and over cooked. Kids cheese pizza had hardly any cheese, sandwich and soup order came without the soap. Burger came without condiments… service was horrible! I would never come back!!
Sub par service in the middle of the day with a small amount of patrons.
More disappointed in their half-assed attempt at hot chocolate. Came to grab some for my little girl and I while watching the parade and got a watered down Swiss miss packet in Luke warm water for $6.
I love coming to eat here the food is absolutely delicious and the beer has a super wide selection available.
Roosters has always delivered on great food. Try some elevated plates at very reasonable prices. A great place to eat, even if you don't drink.
Would avoid the fish & chips - mushy and flavorless. Consistently not good, many better options in town.
Roosters Brewing Co. in Ogden, Utah is one of those rare gems that manages to combine incredible food, warm hospitality, and an atmosphere that feels like the heartbeat of the city. Whether you’re a local or just passing through, this place is an absolute must-visit. From the moment you walk in, you’re hit with that perfect blend of rustic charm and lively energy — the kind of setting that makes you want to stay for hours.
Let’s start with the food, because that’s where Roosters truly shines. I ordered the Gorgonzola Burger, and I can confidently say it’s one of the best burgers I’ve ever had — and I’ve eaten a lot of burgers. The patty was cooked to perfection, juicy and flavorful, and that tangy, creamy Gorgonzola cheese took it to another level. Every bite had this perfect balance of richness and savory depth that kept me going back for more. The toasted bun held everything together without falling apart, and the caramelized onions added just the right amount of sweetness. It’s a flavor experience that hits every note perfectly.
Then came the salmon, and honestly, it rivaled anything you’d find at a high-end seafood restaurant. Perfectly cooked — tender and flaky on the inside with that lightly crisped exterior that locks in all the flavor. The seasoning was balanced beautifully, and whatever glaze or sauce the chef used complemented the natural flavor of the fish without overpowering it. You could tell it was made with real care, not just tossed on a grill and rushed out. It tasted fresh, delicate, and perfectly executed.
And if you go, do not skip the cheese curds. They’re absolutely phenomenal — crispy golden perfection on the outside, with gooey, melty cheese on the inside that stretches just the right amount. They’re addictive, comforting, and honestly could be a meal on their own. Dip them in whatever sauce they bring (trust me, you’ll want to) and prepare to be hooked.
Beyond the food, the service and atmosphere are what make Roosters a 5-star experience through and through. The staff were attentive, personable, and genuinely seemed to love working there — which says a lot about the culture they’ve built. My server checked in just the right amount, made great recommendations, and made me feel completely at home. You can tell the team here takes pride in what they do, from the kitchen to the bar to the front of house.
The locally brewed beers also deserve a shoutout — crisp, full of flavor, and perfectly paired with the food. Whether you’re into IPAs, stouts, or lighter ales, they’ve got something for everyone, and the bartenders are always happy to help you find your perfect pour.
Roosters Brewing Co. is the kind of place that reminds you why dining out is an experience, not just a meal. Everything — the food, the people, the ambiance — comes together in perfect harmony. Whether you’re here for date night, a casual lunch, or just to unwind after a long day, you’re in for something special.
If you haven’t been yet, make plans to go. Order the Gorgonzola Burger, the salmon, and the cheese curds — and thank me later. Roosters isn’t just a brewery; it’s an Ogden institution that knows exactly how to make people happy.
Roosters is a must have here in Ogden. Their food is always top tier. All of my experiences at roosters have been great. All of their staff are very friendly and their servers are quick and attentive. The food is brought out quickly and their selection of dishes and drinks is large enough to ensure you have plenty of options.

Great staff good food
Tried this place in downtown Ogden. I had the Atlantic salmon plate which came with broccoli and mashed potatoes. Fish was a little bit dry but still delicious. Prices are decent. We went on a Monday evening around 6:30pm and had no issue finding parking along the street. Plenty of spots! We sat outside on the patio to eat. Definitely a good spot to come for a quick bite to eat with a friend!
Nikita, our server, did fine. The cook and bartender did NOT. First I ordered a Passionfruit Mango Iced Tea that was so weak it was basically faintly-flavored water, so I ordered a beer instead. That beer was cold, as it should be.. but the second one must have been poured into a hot glass because it was room-temp by the time I took a sip. The chicken wings were underwhelming, especially for a chicken place. They were not crispy at all. My husband said his beer was also not cold, and his chilaquiles were bland. The scrambled eggs on top of his dish were also tough. The check was about $50 for the 2 of us. Definitely not worth it. We do not recommend.
These are the most fluffy soft cheese curds I’ve ever had. Actually god tier curds.
* Great place.
