Are there better steakhouses out there? Possibly, but until I find one, Ruby River deserves a high rating. The steaks and burgers I've had have been cooked perfectly and have tasted delicious; they have never disappointed me. If you are in the mood for an appetizer, try the Ruby poppers; they are our favorite thing there. The service is very poor at times, depending on whom you get. One server, in particular, has been terrible every time we get him.

I ate at Ruby River on Oct. 26 2024. There was a beetle in my salad and ALL the manager wanted to do is give me a new salad. When I'm paying 30+ dollars for a meal, I expect it to be bug free. I will never give this place my business again.

I don't really see the appeal and wouldn't go back.

Quite disappointed. Looked meun and prices up on line but the prices in the steak house were quite a bit higher than posted. Very poor lighting at our table. Could not see our menu without a flashlight on our phone. Last straw was my order was way overcooked.
We haven't been here for years so we decided to come here. We ordered the steak and ribs and steak and chicken. The food was delicious and the server was great. The only problem we had is it really wasn't that busy and there was a couple in the corner by the fireplace that apparently either new a couple of the workers or something but they were just talking so loud it was obnoxious at times. After they finally left it was nice and calm and we could enjoy the rest of our meal.

I guess we arrived too late, about an hour and a half before closing time. We were largely ignored by our waitress, who was busy vacuuming the restaurant. We were there about 30 minutes longer than we wanted, having to go to a manager at the bar to get our check. Ribeye was undercooked and largely flavorless. Asparagus was not flavorful either. I’ve always had good experiences at Ruby River, I guess just not this location.

Now before I start this post I will give you the takeaway. The food was incredible, the atmosphere was extremely welcoming but, our waiter was terrible. Josh was not able to give us any recommendations, along with being rude, not checking up on us frequently and was overall just unhelpful the entire visit. While I may never come here to eat again, I do believe the food was well worth the trip for takeout.
