This is a cute little spot. When you walk in you feel European vibes. How it works is you go up to the counter and place your order and then you can sit down and eat it at the table.

We came here because my pregnant wife was craving hot chocolate and a croissant and she was recommended to come here.

The food we got was all delicious ! We got the Nutella croissant with coco flakes on top and a pasta with basil pesto, mozzarella and tomato.

The food was delicious !

We also ordered a large hot chocolate. Turns out they didn’t have enough to make one , barely had enough for a small so they gave us that instead.

It was a let down though the hot chocolate we did have was good.

Customer service is amazing. The staff is very friendly and kind.

The reason I gave 3 stars is because the hot chocolate. They said they didn’t make enough to have and they were sorry. The reason this bothered me is because it is cold season and you are a bakery and should be in top of your inventory. I would go back though if I want hot chocolate this wouldn’t be my first spot being I don’t know if they will have their inventory so I’m not going to do the 15/20 minute drive and not know.

Overall great spot. They had some other pastries that looked really good!

I’ve never been disappointed at Sapori. Their selection is all delicious but the meraviglia is my favorite!

I have been meaning to go to Sapori for, I’m ashamed to admit, years now. I am so glad and so mad we made a trip there yesterday. The pastries are the best pastries I’ve ever eaten. They put the French to shame with the layers of heavenly bliss that are the Bow Ties. The Orange Crostata is, there are no words in the English language to describe this beautiful and glorious concoction, the best pastry in the world for me and my tastes. I’m mad because I can’t get the taste of these magical things out of my mind. I just accepted that there weren’t any bakeries west of the Mississippi River that could compare with pastries like I grew up with eating in Chicago, but wow do they meet and exceed those of the Windy City. Service was exceptional and the charming decor was like being in Italy. Can’t wait to go back - darn it.

Came in on a Saturday morning this summer and while there were workers walking about no one helped us at the counter even though the place was fairly empty. After waiting 5 minutes without anyone even making eye contact, we decided to leave. Maybe the food is good but the service is awful.

We were looking for good coffee and food for breakfast. The service was warm and friendly and the savoury crepes were made to order and perfect for breakfast. We couldn’t help but follow through with one of their fabulous pastries. Unlike some of the other ‘Italian’ places in town this appears to be genuinely owned by an Italian. My only comment is that the coffee needed to be double shot which was resolved when I had my second cup.

I would definitely return and recommend.

Unfortunately, my experience at Sapori Italian Bakery & Coffee was quite disappointing. Although the girl who attended me was very kind, the service left much to be desired. I was in a hurry and quickly ordered a "pizza" with tomato, ricotta, spinach, and sauce, trusting that I would receive what I imagined: a traditional pizza.
When I opened my order at the bus stop, just two blocks from the shop, I was deeply disappointed to find a crepe instead of the pizza I expected. Yes, I later realized that the menu described it as a "pizza crepe," but in my rush and given the lack of explanation from the staff, this wasn’t clear to me at the time of purchase.
If someone at the shop had specified that what I was ordering was a crepe, or if there had been a more obvious clarification, I would have understood. However, the fact that it was handed to me without any explanation left me unsatisfied and disappointed.

I paid nearly $12 for a dish that did not meet my expectations, and the surprise was so unpleasant that I completely lost my appetite. I was expecting an authentic pizza, and what I received was far from what I had in mind.
I hope Sapori considers improving their communication with customers and ensures that what is delivered more clearly aligns with the expectations set by their menu descriptions. While the service was kind, it’s crucial that it also lives up to what is promised.

I've lived in northern Davis County for the past 17+ years. I have been searching for a replacement to the French Pastries Bakery I loved for so long in Salt Lake City, Cottonwood Heights area which closed during the pandemic and has teied reopening, but is difficult to to figure out hours. BUT, Sapori Italian pastries are every bit as good when done correctly. Sapori is a Master when it cones to these delectable treats. I can hardly wait until I get to sample some of the savory crepés and pasta offerings. They looked and smelled simply wonderful.

Parking: We parked across 25th street near the megaplex. It was a beautiful Saturday morning, so the farmers market was in full swing, thus making the parking scarce.

Staff and service were kind but decided to pre-select a 20% tip at checkout without saying anything. The croissants weren’t good — on the dense side — and the savory crepes were just bad. I don’t recommend these items.
