Discriminatory, rude, and unprofessional. Stopped by hoping to grab some food, but was immediately asked for ID. No problem — I showed my valid Australian driver’s license. The staff rudely told me it wasn’t acceptable because it couldn’t be scanned. Apparently, being a foreigner means you’re not welcome here, even if you have a legitimate, government-issued ID. When I asked to speak to the manager, the staff straight-up refused and said they “won’t bother the manager for this matter.” Excuse me? Being denied service for showing a valid international ID is a matter worth raising. Instead of treating me like a customer, they treated me like a problem. Unprofessional behavior and discriminatory policies — I’ll never come back, and I suggest others steer clear unless you enjoy being treated like a second-class citizen.

Great food, fun servers, nice atmosphere. Great place to socialize and have fun. There is rooftop seating, which is fun. I recommend the fish and chip and the Angry Goat Burger. The angry goat root beer is awesome.
Absolutely not good service, they do not know utah laws. They do not understand what the laws are. Management there is horrible. The food is subpar. I not recamend
Always seems to be busy (that's a good thing). The drinks, food, atmosphere, and service are great. The folks there make it a must-stop kind of place.
Exceptionally poor service, we came here as a group that didn’t get drinks and our waitress was extremely rude—she was very clearly bothered we didn’t get drinks and treated us as such the entire night.
The food was fine, but the service was abysmal and we will never come back as a result.
Train your wait staff better. This waitress was incredibly rude and unwelcoming.
Food was not great, we were charged for every single sauce even though our fries didn’t come with any fry sauce. Way overpriced and the service was awful. The girls behind the bar upstairs expected the downstairs server to run everything and weren’t even helping. I watched them sit and chat with each other for 10 minutes while we were waiting for the sauces that we had asked our sever to add to our sandwiches. This is not worth the money that was spent.
Response to the owner:
As a server myself of 12 years there is absolutely no excuse to not help a food runner if you are not busy. It should not be one sole person‘s obligation to take care of the entire upstairs and downstairs of a restaurant, especially when the guest has asked their server three times for the sauce in question. Everyone should be willing to help each other, especially when the servers only make $2.50 an hour and rely on their tips. It’s an extremely bad practice and is the exact reason why I will not be returning to the establishment.
Love the rooftop!!! The servers were awesome! The food was great! Would definitely go back!!
Angry Goat Pub, a clever name for a wonderfully nestled pub in the heart of downtown Ogden, Utah. My wife and I had an unforgettable culinary experience with a few cocktails. At the Angry Goat Pub, expect a huge selection of handcrafted brews from local and international breweries. Instead of going for a craft IPA, I had a Kentucky Buck cocktail: Knob Creek Bourbon, strawberry puree, simple syrup, lemon, and bitters topped with ginger ale.
Angry Goat provided exceptional food, too. I went for the juicy burger, stacked with artisanal toppings… The IRISH BURGER: Corned beef, caramelized onions, muenster cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, and our famous Danny boy sauce. I substituted the Muenster cheese for white American cheese. The burger and fries is one of the best hamburgers I’ve ever had. The corn beef on top with the huge hamburger patty within was incredible. I also suggest adding a dash or two of Tobacco to the fry sauce!!!
The welcoming staff matched the atmosphere, where the brick walls and warm lighting invites you to relax before hitting the historic downtown. Enjoy my iPhone photos as I try to show why this establishment is so special.

Update: 12/5/24: TBH I come here all the time but it's because I love it so much! The servers are always great, the food is always great and the drinks are good. It's just such a cute place and it's so fun to be able to look out and see Washington boulevard and see all the action and with it being Christmas time, you can see all the lights in Christmas Village. There's just something kind of special and magical about it and the location is phenomenal. Our server was super cute and great as always. I'm glad they are there and I truly cannot wait for them to open the rooftop bar!
It is a really cute place with a wonderful atmosphere. The service was wonderful and all of the servers were helping one another just to make sure that the guests were taken care of without having to wait for anything. It was nice having a view of the street and being able to see Christmas village across the way.
