The Cupcake Shoppe and Bakery

I was pleased with the prices and very happy with the cookies. I got the baklava and chocolate chip cookies and both were absolutely delicious. The balklava cookie had some sugar that had caramelized around the bottom which was absolutely scrumptious. I wish I had taken a photo. The lady at the register was also nice and personable.

Stumbled upon the Cupcake Shoppe and were glad we did. Even though it was near closing, staff were kind and happy to assist.

The display case is not jammed with options so it’s not overwhelming. That’s not to say choices are limited. They aren’t. I went with the Lemon Raspberry Cupcake and the Pink Sugar Cookie, because this is life behind the Zion Curtain and there is a law irrevocably written in Brother Brigham’s heaven that pink sugar cookies must be sold if you are going to say you sell cookies here. The cupcake is not a massive big box store style cupcake the size of a 1983 Honda Civic. These are thin and easily managed in two bites. The lemon curd was a nice touch and the raspberry icing was good, if a tad dry. The cookie is a valiant and worthy soldier in the Utah Cookie War battlefield.

Fun little place. Happy to come back the next time I’m in Ogden.

If I could give 10 stars I would the place is absolutely cute clean and the staff is one of the best ... the ladies who bake and run it are the most amazing lady's if I ever needed anything special or if something was wrong they always went above and beyond to make it right... the food is the to die for amazing I am gluten free and you cannot tell it... and so many options... the pies are amazing... all I can say is try them... you will not be disappointed...

Pre-ordered AND paid for gluten free rolls for Thanksgiving. I had a pick up time of 5:00-6:00. Got there at 5:30 and they were closed. They had my number to call if they were closing early. That would have been nice, since tomorrow is Thanksgiving and they were already paid for. They weren’t cheap. Now we have no rolls. THANK YOU!!! Will not be back.

I have been very disappointed with this place. I got my wedding cake here because it was a place that offered gluten free cakes. I showed them a picture of what I wanted. When I went to pick up the cake on my wedding day, it was just a white cake. There was no decorations or anything I asked for on my cake. Of course I had a big panick attack and ended up decorating it myself. I wanted berries, greenery and flowers. The cake filling wasn't even what I had asked for either.

Next time we went there, we requested a brownie sheet for my mother's 50th birthday. We showed them a picture of what we wanted. When we came to pick it up, it just had the words on it in sloppy writing and a red rim around it. We requested a fire theme and I was very disappointed. It didnt even have 50 on it. We ended up buying flame decorations and a big 50 to put on it. If I wanted what they gave us, then I would have done it myself or gone to Walmart.

Best bakery around! The cupcakes were baked to perfection and were so tasty! The staff was so sweet and super helpful in telling us about the history and cupcakes!

Quick pit stop in Ogden and this place caught my eye.
Greeted by two very kind ladies who let me know everything is made fresh daily. I got a blackberry lime cupcake. Packaged beautifully To Go. Cake was perfectly moist no crummy or dryness detected. A good balance of frosting to cake not too much. I would’ve liked a stronger presence of blackberry but the lime curd was divine.

Bathroom was clean and nicely furnished as well!

Overall a great spot.

Bought a gluten free salted caramel chocolate chip cookie mix here and the caramel pieces in baked cookies were so hard they almost broke teeth. I took these to work to share and have many others that had same hard pieces in baked cookies.Mix was pretty expensive for inferior ingredients. Reached out to Shelly about this and was treated like I made this up. I wasn’t asking for anything but was treated poorly. Customer service is non existent. Won’t be coming back and certainly will spread the word through the gluten free community to spend your money somewhere that cares about their quality and customers.

We love the cupcake Shoppe! We love your cupcakes but we loved our wedding cake even more! Thank you for making such a special day so delicious!

I had the best cupcake of my life, thanks to Anna from the Cupcake Shoppe! She kindly shared a caramel bacon cupcake with me on the bus, and it was amazing!! perfectly balanced with a bold, sweet-salty flavor that blew me away. Anna’s warmth and generosity make her an incredible ambassador for this shop. I’m already excited to visit the store, try more unique flavors, and explore their other treats. Trust me, you need to check this place out!
