Sonora Grill continues to be one of my go-to spots. I’ve been here probably 20 times, and it’s a place I keep coming back to for good reason. The presentation of the food is always amazing, and they hands-down have the best salsa around. I’m not exaggerating when I say I’m addicted to it — it’s honestly one of the main reasons we will continue to come back.
The atmosphere is awesome and makes for a great dining experience whether you’re out with family or friends. The server was amazing, attentive, friendly, and made us feel well taken care of from start to finish.
This visit, I tried the chimichanga, and while it looked fantastic, it just wasn’t my favorite. For me, it had too much breading and not enough meat, which is why I’m giving the food four stars instead of five. That said, I’ve had many other dishes here that are excellent. The carne asada is amazing, the coconut rice is outstanding, and the carnitas are very good as well.
Even when a dish doesn’t quite hit for me, Sonora Grill is still a place I enjoy and recommend. Between the service, atmosphere, and that salsa, I’ll absolutely be back.

The Sonora Grill is quite something. I just ate a wonderful meal there today and really enjoyed it. I ordered Chilaquiles for brunch which included corn tortilla chips, green enchilada sauce (delicious), cheese, red onions, avocados, sour cream, shredded chicken, all built into a little tower with the onions and avocado on top⬆️ For dessert I ate Margarita Mousse- totally delicious 🤤.

Our hotel concierge recommended this spot, and I’m really glad we listened. The service was excellent, and both dishes we ordered — the arroz con pollo and the carne asada — were outstanding.
Our waiter mentioned that the flavors we were tasting are traditional for this region, and it really made the meal feel like something unique. It was definitely different from the Mexican food I’m used to, but in the best way possible. A really fun and delicious experience.
We’d absolutely come back the next time we’re in the area!
