We ate at Flying Sumo on Saturday night August 30th. This was our favorite dinner during our 4-night stay in the area. We have eaten at Sushi restaurants from Boston to Tokyo... and this place was amazing. ROSE was our server (she was so friendly and helpful) and she recommended several items from their impressive menu. We had the grilled Tuna appetizer and the Thriller Roll. Both were phenomenal! We cannot wait to return to Park City and when we do Flying Sumo will be on the menu!

So great! We drove over the pass in our Jeep to have a nice evening in PC. We didn’t wanna spend a ton of money! But you could here- the menu was varied for all pocket books!
And this place was very friendly, nice and sunny very clean and pretty and interesting.
When we walked in, everybody was smiling and checking in with us .
Our server for the evening was Rose and she was so pleasant. She made a bunch of great recommendations. She checked in with us often she was bubbly and friendly, and we’re definitely gonna make this spot a tradition.
Great spot, we were there after the summer season so if you’re gonna go during the summer season or during the ski season, I recommend making reservations because this place is pretty hot and awesome so I imagine it’s pretty full during high season !
Highly recommend !

Had an awesome dinner at Flying Sumo about two weeks ago. The sushi was fresh and tasty, and our server, Mataias, was super friendly, helpful, and made great menu suggestions. He really made us feel welcome.

We have been eating at this restaurant for many years. It has lost its feel post covid. Always enjoyed sitting at the sushi bar and interact with the chef. Did not even get a hello the past two visits. Waiter did not seem very experienced at his role. Food was fresh. Will be moving on to our next favorite sushi restaurant in the future.
Always great. Eat there every time we come to Park City. Sometimes twice.
What a great place to hang out and eat some sushi! Our experience has been that the staff is very friendly and does an excellent job of taking care of our needs. They have a lot of very cool combinations in their sushi rolls, and they're always happy to give my wife a big pile of ginger, which she seems to be addicted to.

Great sushi. The sumo wrestler was pretty rude though. He didn't fly, just argued with me by saying "I'm not a sumo." Or "Please go away, I'm trying to have dinner with my family." Or the worst was "I'm going to call the cops if you ask me to fly or wrestle one more time."
I like sushi and I was delighted by this place. I was looking for a lighter dinner and the Uramaki I ordered was called "Sunset". It was one of the best rolls I have ever had. The flavor was incredible and the atmosphere of the place was very calming. What a great place to grab dinner.
If you are like me and don't go to Park City often, make sure that when you do, the Flying Sumo is on your list of restaurants to visit while in town! I know that I will be back as often as I can.
Parking: Parking in Park City is difficult almost all day but even more so in the evening. However, it is a very nice place for a walk, so find one of the paid parking lots and walk down to the Flying Sumo rather than trying to fight for a spot nearby.
