We had hair in our water cup from an order of bottled flat water, I let it go, only to find hair later in our desert. Our waiter said hair was normal. Avoid this restaurant unless you enjoy eating hair. Shame such a beautiful establishment is tainted with hair.

I debated for quite some time before writing this review.
A few weeks ago, a group of girlfriends and I were in Park City for a girls’ trip. One evening, we had dinner at Grappa. The restaurant has a beautiful ambiance, and we were genuinely excited to dine there. Unfortunately, my experience and ultimately the evening did not end on a positive note.
Before going further, I want to be transparent: my driver’s license had expired. To be specific, it expired the night before less than 12 hours earlier. When our waitress came to take our drink orders, she asked to see our IDs and informed me that because my license was expired, I could not order a glass of wine due to Utah’s strict alcohol laws. While I found it difficult to understand how an expired license suddenly changed my age from 53 to under 20, I accepted that the ID was no longer considered valid and complied with the policy.
One of my friends, who was not planning to drink, ordered a glass of wine instead. When I took a single sip, the maître d’ rushed to our table and, in a calm yet extremely demeaning tone, reprimanded me. He spoke to me as though I were a child, stating that if he saw me do it again, I would be escorted out of the restaurant. While I understand that the law is the law and I immediately complied, I felt humiliated by the manner in which I was addressed. The tone and delivery were unnecessarily condescending and made me feel as though I were being scolded rather than respectfully corrected.
What made this interaction especially upsetting is my strong belief that had there been a man at our table or had I been dining with my boyfriend I would not have been spoken to in this manner. I attempted to speak with the maître d’ afterward, as I had an image of my passport and wanted to better understand how an expired license negated my clearly established age. Despite asking multiple times, he never returned to our table.
While I accept that an expired license may not be valid for alcohol service, at what point does that stop being an indication of someone’s age altogether? As the evening continued, I stayed quiet so as not to ruin my friends’ night, but I felt hurt, embarrassed, and disrespected by an interaction that could have been handled with basic courtesy.
Unfortunately, the evening did not improve. Two of my friends ordered the fish. One could not eat it due to the taste, and the other became extremely ill afterward, spending the night with a severe stomachache. One friend went home hungry, and another spent the night feeling unwell.
All in all, what should have been a lovely evening at a beautiful restaurant was overshadowed by a humiliating interaction and disappointing food. I left feeling hurt and disrespected, and that is not an experience I would expect from an establishment of this caliber.

I'm 60 years old and from the east coast. I forgot my ID and was therefore unable to get a glass of wine with my dinner. I understand this is a new Utah state law. Ridiculous. I can't wait to get back to the East coast where society is normal.

Service was great, food was ok, but the whole restaurant is looking tired. Time for a refresh on menu and decor.

Nice staff and presentation of food. I was pleased with the ambiance. The food was underwhelming in general, and especially for the price. I would not come back again after the Sundance menu experience.

Service was great for a busy Sundance night. Food was great, but drinks were very watered down, paid $$ for martinis that felt like had no alcohol, only mixers. Opt for wine instead!

It was our last night in PC and we finished right at Grappa. Our server was Erica and she shared a brief history of the restaurant and highlighted several menu items. We started with the wild mushrooms and the crudo. Both were delicious. I had a High West High Roller Manhattan- not cheap, but perfect. Our table had the mushroom soup, grapes and Gorgonzola salad and the white bean soup. All were very good. Our entrees were lamb chops, Osso Buco and Duck Carbonara. All delicious. I enjoyed the Carajillo as a liquid dessert. Very tasty. Whenever we return to PC, Grappa will be a must for dinner.

Once again, Grappa hits a grand slam. Our party of five enjoyed exquisite service and food. We all had different entrees and each were deemed exemplary. Kudos to the chef, kudos to the waitstaff, and to the entire management team who made our evening amazing!

We are out of towners and a waitress from our hotal suggested Grappa. It is a charming vintage restaurant. Thank God we got reservations because the people kept pouring in all night. The hostesses were very good and checked our coats. The wait staff are excellent and knowledgeable on the menu. I had the Osso buco, it is a must but pricey. My husband had the bolognese with rigatoni, there is cream in the sauce which made it different from any other we ever had. It was very good. We don't drink but saw a premium wine list on our table $75-85 for a glass of wine. That desserts sounded amazing but too full to try them. We highly recommend this restaurant!
