We visited Park City for New Year’s Eve and, knowing little about the area, chose this restaurant somewhat blindly for our special NYE dinner. The lively atmosphere upon arrival was energetic and fun—actually better than the quieter vibe we had anticipated for the holiday. We arrived early for our reservation, hoping for an earlier table (they said they’d try), but ended up waiting about 30 minutes while watching several other parties get seated first. Only after speaking to the hostess did we get our table right at our reserved time. It left us feeling a bit overlooked, though we’re not sure if it was just an oversight on a busy night. Once seated, the service from our waiter and bus staff was excellent—attentive, prompt with orders, and quick to clear plates. We started with appetizers (the calamari was a highlight—crispy and enjoyable), but they were initially out of one of our choices, so we swapped without issue. The soup and salad course was disappointing: the mushroom rice soup lacked rice and tasted very similar to canned cream of mushroom with added whole mushrooms. The salad bar was decent but felt like an extra charge for a standard house salad, nothing standout. Our mains arrived after another long wait, and it seemed we’d been forgotten again (we noticed staff huddled in discussion). A manager soon stopped by, apologized sincerely for the delays, and offered a small discount plus comped appetizers and dessert—appreciated effort to make things right. Unfortunately, the food quality didn’t redeem the evening. The lobster was tough and missing its usual sweet flavor, the bison filet appeared underseasoned and pale, and the bone-in ribeye was average at best. Overall, for a New Year’s Eve meal in Park City, this was underwhelming due to the service hiccups and inconsistent food. The staff’s recovery attempts bumped up our impression, but we likely won’t return. Might be better on a less hectic night.
ThePrime Rib was delicious. The meat loaf was possibly the best I have ever eaten. Service was wonderful. And all at a reasoble price.
The Wife and I dropped by for Dinner. Grub Steak Restaurant was running a Summer Special, two dinners (Small selection of Entrees) with two sides and two starters for $60. We thought that would be reasonable for us and we ordered from the Specials limited selection (Meat Loaf and Ribs) and the Wife had a drink with hers ($10) and our bill came to over $90. So much for the Special. The food was decent, not over the top good, but not bad either. There was live entertainment which was very good. I don't think we will return the next time we are in Park City since we feel cheated.
Live music plus excellent food. Everything I ordered was extremely tasty: potato skins, Caesar salad, medium-rare 8oz filet with mash potatoes, and banana pudding

Good food and had live music, but service (inclusive of bartender) has room to improve.

Delicious food cooked perfectly. Exceptional service, particularly from our server, who thought of things which made our experience go perfectly.
Live band for dinner Sat night, playing up the folksy western vibe.

Outstanding. Great food and good service
Phenomenal everything. All staff were very respectful and helpful. My wife and I dined in with our 3 children of 5, 3, and 2 years of age. Everyone was helpful with them and as kind to them as they were to us. It made us all feel very welcomed. Food was also grade A. All around, just a great experience.
Kid-friendliness: Very accommodating to our children.

Came in with a few buddies after a day on the hill
Server was super sweet & did a great job on the initial ordering & then the rest of the staff took over
The entire staff spent 1/2 the night asking if they could clear the table, MID BITE ON THE ARTICHOKE & they were pulling the plate. I asked them to stop & let me finish & the entrees were arriving, was rushed through the entire $507.00 meal. Horrible etiquette for people who want to enjoy a meal
Crab artichoke dip - slop, greasy & a poor attempt at a classic appetizer, too much cream cheese &!not nearly enough crab for the price, tortilla chips were cold & unseasoned
Artichoke - undercooked, there is a proper method to cooking these & to be able to remove the fine silk on the inside of the choke, dipping sauce needed to be seasoned & the choke should have been cooked longer, tough to eat & raven harder when they’re pulling the plates of unfinished food
Mushrooms - get rid of the jarred garlic
Creamed spinach - frozen & out of a box. 3 ozs of creamed spinach with breadcrumbs & a pool of grease on the edge
Caesar - not a bad salad
Ny strip steak - cooked longer on one side then the other, left in one spot for too long (hence the 1/2 assed grill marks) Hollandaise, right out of a box. Knorr should be embarrassed
Prime rib- the worst part of the meal, a horrific cut, loaded with gristle & the meat was stringy & super chewy… this was either a Sysco cooked prime rib or an embarrassment form the “chef” or whoever this person is teaching
Lamb - cooked well & seasoned well
Filet - mediocre
Mocha cake was still frozen when we received it, need a knife to cut through the almost 1/2” thick frozen Oreo crust
Flourless cake good flavor

This experience was a first for me, and unfortunately that is not in a good way. I ordered a medium rare filet and when it arrived the first two cuts in the edge of the steak were obviously on the well done side with no pink even visible. The waiter saw this and thought I ordered more rare and was kind when I asked for it to be taken back. The waiter soon returns with the same steak, which has now been cut in half by the chef who saw a quarter size or less of red in the middle and said it’s medium and sent it back out. I’m not sure what to do when a steak arrives back at your table now cut in half. They did offer it for free if I would just eat it as is, or said another steak would be ready in 10 minutes. My husband answered when I didn’t know what to say and my $60 filet was sent back for another. It actually ended up being more like 15-20. They tried to right the wrong. And the next steak was cooked perfect and delicious. But, after sleeping and thinking on this experience, I am just less than impressed. Our waters were never filled in the hour and half we sat there. And it just ended up not being the best experience. The live band was a fun add to the night. But just not what we were hoping for to splurge and celebrate a birthday with our family.
Parking: The only options we could see were street parking. But we haven’t been there before, so it could be elsewhere and expected to walk a short distance to restaurant.

Our party of 4 all agreed that this was the worst steak ever. Completely flavorless and strange texture. My friends ribeye tasted like burger king. Don't come here you'll regret it.

Don’t you hate it when you go to a concert to hear your favorite band and they refuse to play their greatest hit? That’s what going to Grub Steak has become. Before Covid they had the best salad bar in the state. Then they shut down the salad bar to slow the spread but guess what! The Covid pandemic is long gone but they refuse to bring back the salad bar. As a result, I refuse to go back. Come on Grub Steak! Give the people what they want!
Loved this place, it has amazing food, great steaks, great drinks. Live music, low-key family appropriate place for a wonderful meal. I will definitely be coming back again. The steaks were topnotch.

While this is not a fine dining experience, it's a good dinner for a fair price. It's refreshingly not as upscale as Main Street tries to be nowadays and it is definitely kids-friendly. The service was very professional, the Prime Rib delicious, the Filet a little undercooked, the Chocolate Cake was very rich and the Cheesecake way better than expected. Good selection of wines too. We will visit again...
