Average venue decent
I came out here back when it was Sky and saw Above and Beyond. I like it a lot better as Marquis. The music sounded great, and the vibes were all there. Park city sometimes has an attitude that comes with the money, and I didn't see that at all with the staff (I saw it in a lot of entitled dudes though).
I would come here again! Utah needs to do away with the 2am law and allow places to be open with a limited capacity after they stop serving alcohol.
They had a coat check, which is not in my income bracket, but it was the first time I ever used this service before and it was really helpful not to have to walk from my car in the 11 degrees weather.
The bartenders were super nice, even though I don't buy alcohol, and didn't look at me weird when I asked for water...I hope they appreciated the bigger tip for the kindness! The water was free, but if you've been to Vegas, they charge like 15 a bottle. Thanks Marquis for keeping people hydrated for free. It's water lol.
Thanks Marquis for hosting a great time.
Maybe think of doing a Marqiis 2 in the slc or Harriman areas, I think you'd do well!
And thanks for not being like Sky and forcing your ladies to dress slutty in order to work there. I can tell your staff feels appreciated!
Hope to see you soon!
Amazing venue !!
I really used to love this venue back when it was Park City Live, but the overall quality really has gone down and tends to be way too over packed with people who can’t manage themselves. The Sky Bar experience is no longer something enjoyable but instead a tightly packed back room with employees openly doing lines all night. I really hope the employees can start acting more professional and taking their job more seriously.
-1 star for the overpriced tickets.
Everything else though was a pretty positive experience. We were let in just a couple minutes after doors time. Bathrooms were really nice and actually clean. Dance floor is open with no pillars or barriers in the way of the stage. Sound was a little quiet for the first opener but it was better than a lot of other venues. By the headliner it was proper loud. The entrance/exit is directly facing the stage, so even if you go to the back to get out of the crowd the sound was still really good. If I would've known that I would've left the crowd crush in the middle and gone to the back sooner lol. Pretty good first experience at this place, but I doubt I will be back often due to the shows being $$$. The concert I went to had 5 different tier pricings... I know some of these things are due to the people booking the shows, but if every show here is expensive then I have to deduct it from the venue as well.
Had such a great time at Loud Luxury last Sunday. Great show, great security to accompany our party at VIP.
This venue is bad ass.
On the smaller side but, for park City it's extremely nice. Drinks available. The stage is really close to the edge of the crowd if you love being closer like we do
I love this place! Nora en Pure. What a show! What a delight. The ambience sound the vibes the people the energy all of it was just blissful. Thank you, thank you thank you
I was very reluctant to come because of the other reviews, but I was very pleasantly the surprised! There was a parking garage within a 5 minute walk. The people at the door, security, and the bartenders were all super nice. The venue itself was SO spacious despite how full the place was. The audio was great. They’ve definitely improved since the previous reviews. I brought loop earplugs which I recommend due to how loud it was. The drinks were definitely expensive (we paid around $38 for two tequila cranberries). However, you definitely get your money’s worth. For once I could actually taste the tequila and not just cranberry juice - so I was very relieved. Getting a large vizzy was probably around $16. The bathrooms were very clean and nice! They have color changing mirrors (different tones of yellow) which was fun. The crowd was SO nice! I was shocked - this is the closest I have come to PLUR in all of Utah. Much better than Sky in SLC. There are walls to lean on around the place if you get tired, where as many venues don’t allow you ANY resting spots unless you pay for a table. They have a coat check, but I didn’t bring one because I imagined it was expensive. I endured being cold on the 5 minute walk and worked out. Also, A VENUE THAT ACTUALLY USES THE AC!!!!!! Despite how many people were there, they made sure there was a reasonable temperature that kept people comfortable. It still gets warm, but way better than any indoor venue I’ve been to in Utah for EDM. Highly recommend this place. They definitely took the previous reviews seriously and made the place better.
(Side note, they did check bags to ensure safety for everyone! This is the first time I’ve experienced security folks at a venue genuinely focused on prioritizing safety, not just tyrants on a power surge lol)
Came to see seven lions during sundance. Everyone said parking and all that would be a nightmare but the parking garage just a short walk away had plenty of spaces open and didn’t run into any traffic getting there at 9pm for doors opening. The venue itself is nothing special but gets the job done well. There is a bar on both sides of the floor but as most venues do they absolutely rob you on drink pricing. A water was $10+ but the bartender was nice enough to refill the can for me after I got the first one. Bathroom was surprisingly big with lots of stalls/urinals and the guys working in there were great with lots of goodies for people. 2 openers from 9pm-12am. Overall had a really good time.
Restaurantji Recommends
Not giving 5 stars because it was pretty expensive. I don’t know if it was because the event was during Sundance, but we got charged $35 for each coat, $10 for a bottle of water and $20 for a cocktail. Apart from that, the place I’d huge compared to other park city nightclubs!
I love the venue and sound but OMG they need to control the heat inside! I was at Wooli and it was the most hot I’ve ever been in there. It was literally humid and misty inside making my phone and friend’s glasses fog up. I felt like I couldn’t breathe! Please use some AC so we don’t die! It makes everyone so dehydrated so fast! I’m worried for illenium coming up since it’s sold out!
Outrageous drink prices.
Great venue for this show
Sounds system is awesome!!!! I only gave two stars because the coat check was a disaster. $25 per coat including tax.
2 people working to check coats and 3 to pick up coats. Lines for both were ridiculous!! Crowd was not the vibe.
