We were a random walk in right when they opened and no reservation.
Service was really good and friendly.
The food was mediocre for the prices. My wife and I had the chicken tamale pancakes as a starter and for entree’s we got the meatloaf and friend chicken.
The meatloaf was okay, but pricey for $38-42 and the chicken fried chicken was dry.

We were staying in Deer Valley which is up the mountain from the restaurant. On the day we had our reservation there was an unforecasted snowstorm. We tried to drive down anyway but after our car skidded twice we turned around and went home
I called the restaurant to cancel and left a voice mail. Instead of calling us back they've charged us $250 for not making it to the restaurant. They haven't picked up the phone, returned my voicemails or answered my emails since Saturday despite my multiple attempts to discuss the fee.
I understand the need for a credit card hold of some amount so the restaurant isn't left empty handed but a $50/person fee even when the only option for us to attend was to drive on unfamiliar roads in incredibly unsafe driving conditions is unacceptable. It's only made worse by their unwillingness to talk to me about the fee.
The food might be good, but the management clearly does not prioritize a human experience over making a quick buck.

This ended up being our favorite meal out of the 4-5 places we ate at in Park City. The Pork Chop and Short Rib were both fantastic. Highly recommend.

Very good restaurant located on Main Street in Park City. I went to eat alone, so they placed me in a small bar at the back of the store. Taking that aside, the food and service were very good. Varied menu and extensive menu of drinks and beverages.

Purple Sage is a perfect example of what it means to care about the dining experience from start to finish. From the delicious food to the genuine service and welcoming ambiance, we were delighted and can’t wait to come back. We were there for dinner (as a family of four) and had the following dishes, each was between and 8/10 to 10/10:
- chicken tamale pancakes
- veal meatloaf
- Mexican white shrimp
- Utah trout
- Buffalo short ribs
See you again soon, Purple Sage.

Service was kind and excellent...cannot speak more highly of it.
Food was upper middle of the road, but insanely mediocre for the price. Poor quality meats and unbalanced flavors.
Ambiance and decor is woof. No aesthetic consistency or taste. They need to hire a designer/brand manager for the prices they are charging.

I ordered the chicken fried chicken and it was perfectly crispy and juicy. The chorizo gravy had just a little bit of kick with great Mexican flavor. I substituted the green beans for the carrots and was not impressed by the carrots, they were undercooked to my liking and had minimal honey flavor. The cast iron potatoes were also phenomenal. Great dish!
My wife ordered the braised short ribs which were also very good. The ribs were juicy and had a ton of flavor with the sauce on top. The whipped cauliflower added some yummy creaminess to the dish. We weren’t disappointed.
Also, the bread they brought out was super good! For two people, this was a very filling meal.

We were looking for a local restaurant that had an interesting vibe. Purple Sage was exactly what we were looking for. The ambience is amazing and welcoming. We sat outside on a very nice deck area, where we could talk without any outside interference. They got the culinary party started with mini corn muffins that were so good. My wife ordered butternut squash ravioli and I had chicken fried chicken (exactly how it’s on the menu). Both entrees were delicious, awesomely delicious. The chicken was incredible, juicy and flavorful. Then there was the Purple Sage martini……whoever created this masterpiece deserves to be recognized and celebrated. My wife and I have been to many restaurants, but none that had us truly in awe. We kept saying “this is so good and wow, try these green beans their unbelievable” yes even the green beans were amazing. Now for the coup de grâce, our waitress recommended the bread pudding and she was on point. It was the best thing I’ve eaten in as long as I can remember. To our waitress, thank you for the excellent service and the recommendation for bread pudding, it changed my life…….
To the chef, I don’t know what it takes to earn a Michelin star or a James Beard award but your talent is deserving of one. We could feel your culinary passion in the meals, for that we thank you. We will definitely be back next time in Park City.
