I came here for the first time last night and in all honesty the food was really mid. I got the al pastor, asada, and buffalo chicken tacos. For $4-$5 a taco I would expect it to have higher quality ingredients and great flavor but all three tacos were underwhelming flavor wise. I can see how some people would enjoy eating here but it’s just not for me.
All the options sound good, but the food just lacked flavor. I got the Al Pastor taco and the classic asada or whatever it’s called. Beautiful food that looks like it’ll be appetizing. Wish I’d gone to Don Joaquin’s.
I really enjoy the food and have for a long time. I pretty much get the same thing every single time. The buffalo chicken rice bowl. It is delightful. I will say, I have had the tacos and they are decent but not great. The rice bowl is the way to go. Highly recommend.
The only thing that is a little frustrating is I have been going here for years and I’m noticing the pricing is slowly going up and up. Can’t fully blame the restaurant for economic issues...
