Communal Reviews
We ate the most creative and divine food
last night at Communal. The portions are big
and they are for sharing. The new summer salad with fresh peaches and corn was one of the best I’ve ever eaten. The blend of flavors was absolutely amazing. Had I known how delicious it was beforehand I would have just ordered that for dinner. My husband and I shared the Greek chicken, crispy fingerling potatoes and roasted carrots with pistachios. Wonderful homemade rolls were served...read full review
We were able to get a last minute table through OpenTable and came here. The menu is specially curated and is always delicious. My wife has celiac disease and cannot eat gluten and they are always accommodating. The server, Sage, crossed off everything on the menu with gluten (or even used similar pans or cooking surfaces). I feel like ala carte family-style dining is the future of what we need in Utah dining. This restaurant does it right. Wonderful hospitality by every member of staff. Beautiful artwork. Craftsmanship in every detail. Love this restaurant. The Chef is above the game here. Can’t wait to return and try everything else.

Communal is a restaurant with a unique, communal eating concept and a fun atmosphere. The server, Kai, is attentive and helpful with ordering and dietary requests. The menu features farm-fresh options that change regularly, including favorites like the pork chop, tenderloin, and surf & turf frites. There are separate menus for people with allergies. While there may be limited gluten-free options, the food is generally praised for its quality and flavor. Portions are a little larger, perfect for those with big appetites. The shared dishes can make it difficult to balance portions, but the unique sauces and high-end dining experience make it worth returning. The butterscotch pudding is a must-order for dessert. The restaurant has a private room that can accommodate up to 10 people, making it a great spot to bring friends and enjoy a different and special dining experience.
