First timers here. Rice that came w my fajita was undercooked. The nachos plate my husband got was humongous. OMG. he enjoyed it and ate all of it. This place knows how to layer nachos and makes it SOOO GOOD. Good salsa and chips!! Our server was attentive, respectful, and JOYFUL!! He is Tongan/Samoan he said.
I have never had a Mexican food that is this authentic outside of Mexico. The atmosphere is relaxed and inviting but decorated in a way to make you feel like you are in Mexico. The food is exactly like food you would get if you were eating in a restaurant in Mexico. This is not tex-mex. This is not Americanized Mexican food. This is the real deal.
I really wanted to like this place becaise of all the other great Mexican food I've had around SLC. The atmosphere inside is pretty great but just wasn't quite there. I'd say it's more geared toward the standard non Hispanics around the area, Not something my wife's family would make. I'm a white guy and have had my fair share.
