Alchemy is a cute little spot near the sugarhouse area. Location is great and the vibe is awesome except for one real issue: it’s FREEZING. They don’t have any heat on inside, a fan running to try and help with the humidity (it doesn’t do much other than make it feel colder), and the brick walls just seep in cold air. They need to invest in a dehumidifier for the humidity issue and use the heat PLEASE! I had to leave because I was so cold. I won’t be returning any time soon until the temperatures are warmer.

The employees are lovely. I wish I would have been given the courtesy of a conversation from the owners before they made the decision to ban me from their establishment. Society loves to gripe about injustices in the world, yet here we are. This is how it happens. Entire conclusions are drawn upon one person's accusations, against someone who reads tarot cards and is simply trying to help others. Someone who doesn't even charge for their readings so that way there is no liability that falls back on the business. Yeah... the courtesy of asking my side of the story would have been cool.

I’ve come here a few times with my partner and normally have a fine experience but we came here today and the customer service from the barista with short black hair was really off putting and left us feeling really bad. I asked for a Vietnamese iced coffee and she questioned a bit condescendingly if I’ve had it before and know what it is.. I said yes. I then asked if I could have oatmilk put in it and she tells me that it’s just coffee and cream and there’s no milk in it; which I am aware of and that’s why I asked if I could have it put in. Her response made me feel like that wasn’t an option so I just went without it. I receive the coffee and it’s less than halfway filled up in the cup, which I know is normal for Vietnamese iced coffee… hence why I figured it would be okay to put oat milk in it but apparently not. For $5 + tip, I wish that it had been better and my request could’ve been fulfilled. I work in the service industry and know how it can be but also know how important it is to have decent customer service which we didn’t really receive and that was disappointing; especially for a request that didn’t seem that bizarre to me. Maybe she was having an off-day and I don’t think this is a reflection of Alchemy itself but I was telling my friend about the experience from today and she knew exactly what barista I was talking about and has had off experiences with her before too. The food and drinks here are really good but when you leave feeling bad because of the customer service, it makes you not want to come back and support the business unfortunately.

This place is awesome!! I love that they're opened early!! The workera are always nice and friendly, which helps create a good start to your morning!!The pastries are super great as well! I love the tea cakes!! The menu offers something for everyone! I personally get the espresso and Americano! I highly recommend stopping in if you're in the area

Alchemy is my guilty pleasure. I go in at least once a week. They have a great seasonal menu with creative drink names, their lattes are my favorite and the baked goods are delish! To top it all off they have sweet local artists on display! I can't stay away
