“my family and I really enjoy Mr. Shabu. We have mainly been for the sushi, and have really liked it. The Playboy Roll, which is sort of my go to roll, I'm torn if they are number 1 or 2 when it comes to the place I like it the most. but we have enjoyed many other rolls their. but we also appreciate their wall of ramen which is great for my daughter who is trying to like more sushi, but isn't all the way there yet. it make it easy for her to still get a full dinner, but also try some sushi as well. Any ways, if your looking for some good sushi, give Mr. Shabu a try.”

“Bar à Vin is a hidden gem in Salt Lake City and a must-visit every time I’m in town. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and super approachable.

“Had lunch here with the family. I've never been to Germany but the food was delicious and others in our party said that it was very authentic German food. I had the schnitzel with sauerkraut and a tomato and cucumber salad and my wife had the borsche which was kind of a cold soup made with beets and other vegetables and some kind of a cream sauce. She also ordered German potato salad. They had a variety of different desserts and there was a full deli with all the different European cheeses and cold cuts. Attached to the deli was a little grocery store that had all imported foods and candies. The ordering process was a little unfamiliar and therefore kind of chaotic for us but once we got our food we were pleasantly surprised at its quality and reasonable price. We would definitely go back here again. 😋”

“Wow! First- the entire staff here were top notch- not one person standing around even though I came in at a relatively slow moment. Every single person stayed busy, but Cynthia was a standout. She was really pleasant and very attentive. She was doing it all- making shakes, running the drive through, taking orders at the front, restocking, sweeping, wiping tables, and literally had a smile on her face the whole time. Take care of Cynthia, guys!! Ive been to a lot of Apollo burgers around the SL and Utah Valleys (bc I love the Greek salad so much), but this was my favorite location. “What an amazing breakfast we had. We filled the entire square table with all our dishes. We all agreed the French toast was dynamite. It isn’t trying to be fancy, just fluffy, delicious French toast. The sourdough bread also top notch. (Comes buttered). The porridge was great, but comes with peanut butter mixed in. The avocado toast - they also kept simple, but really, really great, fresh sliced tomatoes and I had over easy eggs on top. Two types of hot sauce on the table. My husband loved his corned beef omelette and my friend loved the breakfast burrito, he called it gourmet! Two thumbs up, 5 stars for sure and I’m a very picky food gal.”

I had the citrus butter cast iron Alaskan halibut and a side of grilled cauliflower with garlic herb sauce, and a Beehive jack rabbit Gin Commander cocktail. My husband got the Wagyu hanger 8 0z steak, mashed potatoes, and The Espolon Tequila Hefe cocktail. For dessert we got the churros drizzled with raspberry sauce and a scoop of vanilla ice cream to share. Our waiter Kaden was excellent and on top of things, Jose was our busser and was very prompt, professional, and kind, and the chef was excellent and got our food out in a reasonable amount of time. “The food was delicious! They come out with complimentary bread, which is so good. And then we ordered a 6oz filet and a 12oz New York strip. Both were delicious. Sides are an extra $21/each. We got asparagus and mac n cheese. They were really good but that price seemed crazy. The steaks don’t come with anything, so if you want any sort of sauce on your steak, you’ve got to pay extra. I didn’t get any sauce on my filet, but it didn’t need it because I like steak more rare, so the steak juice was enough for me. My husband was very glad he added on two sauces on his.

The music was loud, but we’ve been to two locations and that’s just kind of their thing.

What really stood out was the service. Wow, it was exceptional service! Our waiter Josh was amazing and gave great recommendations. You can tell this is a top notch service place. They pay close attention to details and are always making sure things are being run smoothly.”

I had called to put in a large catering order Tuesday afternoon right before closing; Wednesday was a holiday and I needed it by Thursday morning. They had everything boxed up ready to go…. Only for me to realize the coolers I bought were not big enough for a box. They offered to repackage everything into smaller boxes. The smaller boxes worked perfectly. While I waited I ordered the Turkey, avocado, bacon sandwich. I can honestly say that was the best turkey avocado, bacon sandwich I have ever eaten. As I write this, I am thinking of how delicious that sandwich was and trying to convince myself that a 50 mile drive for a sandwich is a bit much. The turkey was a thicker cut, juicy, flavorful, and it had that Thanksgiving roasted flavor to it. The bacon Cooked perfectly, not too crisp so you don’t chip a tooth , and not underdone where it is chewy. The avocado was fresh, and it was ripened to the perfect stage. The sandwich also contained some lettuce, and a dressing, which was delicious. All of this delectable goodness placed on fresh bread. The bread had a perfect crunchy outer crust While the inside was soft. The bread itself had an amazing flavor to it with all the seeds and nuts in it made a perfect sandwich. I will write a follow up after the party tonight. It will include photos.”

“This restaurant is a gem!! It is nestled in the Avenues of SLC. The restaurant’s atmosphere is so charming- it’s in an old home that was converted to the restaurant. There are lovely windows in the front that you can look out onto the Avenue. There is outdoor seating when the weather is warm. The service is fantastic! Cascade was our server. She is exceptional!! They are able to accommodate food allergies easily. The food is amazing!! It is so flavorful and cooked to perfection! The presentation is beautiful! We had the Pickled Beet Salad, Fish and Chips and Mountain Hamburger. Again, everything was cooked and presented with perfection!! I highly recommend this gem of a restaurant.”

“We ordered 10 meals for an early lunch (11 am). I ordered online with a pick-up time of 11. They don't open until 11 am but I was greeted kindly and they were already preparing my meals. They had them to me by 11:10 with a smile and a great attitude. The meals were all amazing. Only a few of the people there had tried the restaurant and every one of them said they would get their meal again. I have found a new favorite restaurant. “The food was delicious! They come out with complimentary bread, which is so good. And then we ordered a 6oz filet and a 12oz New York strip. Both were delicious. Sides are an extra $21/each. We got asparagus and mac n cheese. They were really good but that price seemed crazy. The steaks don’t come with anything, so if you want any sort of sauce on your steak, you’ve got to pay extra. I didn’t get any sauce on my filet, but it didn’t need it because I like steak more rare, so the steak juice was enough for me. My husband was very glad he added on two sauces on his.

The music was loud, but we’ve been to two locations and that’s just kind of their thing.

“We had a great time dining at Bambara tonight. The wait staff were very attentive with water--we never ran out. Our server Dylan was incredibly sweet, he knew all about the menu and his bright personality made our evening incredibly pleasant!
Bambara and The Vault are within the same location and shared some space with each other in the hotel (Kimpton Monaco), and there's some parking in the front with options for paid valet. There are 3 entrances you can use to get to the host stand, 1 labeled for the hotel, one for The Vault, and 1 for Bambara. If you're looking for wheelchair accessible access, I recommend using the Hotel entrance.
