“If you like Italian food then you have to visit this restaurant in SLC! We went there twice during our 4 day stay. The service was great and so was the food! For appetizers I recommend the whipped Brie and carpaccio. The bread service was also so yummy! As for the entrees we got the risotto, brasato braised beef, truffle pasta which were 10/10. The filet Mingon was also tasty but could use a little bit less salt. Ravioli al Funghi is vegan and also tasted very fresh. As for dessert I would recommend the tiramisu! Honestly everything was flavorful 10/10 recommend.“
“I have followed this place from Denver (my daughter lives in Salt Lake). Finally got to go today. They have samples!!! I was so impressed how friendly and knowledgeable the employee was. She described tastes and made suggestions. It was so much fun trying and bringing home 6 cookies. The oatmeal with cherries and apricots was like an amazing breakfast bar. They were all delicious. The best cookies I've ever had!“
“Chef Dave amazed us with his incredible menu. Food and service were flawless. This has been on our bucket list for a while, and it did not disappoint! Shout out to Dayton in the kitchen and Jonathan, our server! Thanks for a memorable experience!“
“Man o man this place is fanominal!!! I know it's an upbeat place but the experience you get here is fantastic. The longest I've had to wait is like 10 min. I love the valet parking and everything. It's awesome. Places like this you should look nice and presentable however I've seen several times people coming in wearing gym clothes or attire that I don't think is suited for this establishment however they've never judged and still treated you as if you were a millionaire! The food has always been Michelin star rated and I've never been disappointed. I'm very greatful that they know it's your birthday or anniversary and give you a personal experience. They got my wife and I desert cause it was our anniversary which was super thoughful.“
“You have to try their stuffed French Toast. I am still dreaming about the lemon cream cheese filling. It only had a hint of lemon, but a whole lotta good everything else. The blueberry compote was delicious. It was super busy and I can see why. I can't wait to take my son who lived in Paris back to see what he thinks.“
“A true food gem! Even the iced tea is great. Every single dish in this place is extremely special and so sooo delicious. Flavor and ingredient combinations were definitely not expected and unknown for me. The taste is a true Greek cuisine. Prepared to be mind blown!! This restaurant is my number one recommendation in Salt Lake City. Ambience and decoration is nice and simple and quiet, service was good and kind. TRY IT IT IS SO WORTH IT“
“Funky and fun! Their pies and pull-aparts are amazing. If you don't want to sit down. You can go to the takeout location nearby or order here. By the slice is available for some pizzas (cheese, pepperoni, etc).Parking: Can be difficult to find street parking. Most of the time, it will be limited and paid (except weekends when free)“
“This place is known for having a big dinner crowd, which makes it a great place to go for lunch because it’s quiet and the service is super fast. We found the food and presentation to be excellent and the prices are fair. A great place that’s been in business for more than 24 years owned by the same family. P. S. Very clean bathrooms.“
“Mike and his staff are the best!! They took only about 5 minutes to get our food out, were helpful in getting us sauces whenever we needed them, and did I mention the food is DELICIOUS! Mike and his staff took great care of us and were so nice. I wish I could give 10 out of 5 “
“I found Gourmandise while searching for a gluten free bakery in downtown Salt Lake City. To my pleasant surprise, they also serve breakfast, lunch and dinner. Although they aren't a dedicated gluten free facility and there is risk of cross contamination, the waitress took the time to confirm that my food choices would not contain gluten, soy, or beef. I had the grilled salmon and it was delicious! The buerre blanc sauce was silky smooth and had just the right blend of flavors. For dessert, there were several gluten free options and I selected the flourless chocolate cake. It was very rich and satisfied my sweet tooth! I'll likely try an additional dessert or two before I leave town. I would definitely eat here again!Dietary restrictions: They have several menus online for dietary restrictions (gluten free, vegetarian, and vegan). I had many gluten free options from which to choose, although some had a high risk of cross contamination due to the fryer. They also have gluten free bread which can be used for sandwiches. The waitress took my allergies seriously and verified ingredients and cooking procedures with the chef to ensure I had a good experience. She also cautioned me about possible cross contamination from my food being in the same oven with glutinous bread. I appreciated her transparency and effort.“
“This gelato is truly unparalleled in Utah, and dare I say, in the entire US. Coming from Italy myself, I understand the challenge of finding authentic gelato abroad due to variations in ingredient quality. However, the owners of this establishment spare no effort in sourcing only the finest ingredients, ensuring an exceptional taste experience. Their passion for the craft is evident in every scoop. Crafting gelato and pastry is akin to mastering chemistry; even the slightest variation in ingredient quantities ( even 1 gram) can throw off the entire recipe. Yet, the owners' expertise, dedication, and love for their craft set them apart from any attempts at replication. If you long for the sensation of enjoying gelato in Italy, look no further than this establishment.“
“This has been my favorite restaurant for so many years now. I have yet to find a place that comes close to the incredible flavors & textures Omar’s menu offers. Not only does it taste amazing, but you leave feeling amazing too because the food is SO nutritious & life-giving! You can’t go wrong with any of the dishes. I was going to list my favorites here, but the list is just too long - haha! I love the food, I love the ambiance, I love Omar and all the staff! ❤️“
“Great little shop tucked in on State Street. Great selection for breakfast pastries. Huge portions! Great service--happy employees. Biggest drawback is the lack of parking because right in front of them is a bus stop, next to a construction site. But worth the risk of a parking ticket!!“
“Super friendly & service was great! They have a delicious gluten free crust and I love that you build your pizza exactly the way you want it. Definitely will come back again!!Dietary restrictions: They offer gluten free or cauliflower crust. Love the options!!“
“Loved this place! My boyfriend has celiac, so it's hard to find desserts he can eat-- especially ones that don't have a cross-contamination risk. Luckily we found this place not too far from us! The staff was so friendly and the bakery was so clean. We loved it!“
“The menu has a gluten free (GF) section. I split the GF remix falafel bowl and GF street fries with a friend, along with an original sin cider, and had zero reactions. I trust this place for GF food and really appreciate the casual downtown atmosphere. Fantastic service as well.“
“loved cupla. it's in a nice part of the city and the food is great. didn't read on the menu that the 16oz comes with 4 shots so my latte was a little more bitter than i like but that's my fault. great experience! music was a little loud tho“
“I really enjoy stopping by Millcreek. Their coffee is really great and I appreciate the friendly staff. It’s really interesting to see the roasting happening, which also creates some nice white noise in the background. The tall ceilings, spread out tables, and natural light make it a very nice atmosphere it get work done.“
“I love this place. The food is always good, had the meatloaf Thursday. Of course, the beer is really good and what made me go in the first time. What really keeps me coming back is the service. I make sure to ask for Esdee each time, she is the best and funny as they come.“
“Omg. Wish we had this type of bakery in Seattle. Visiting friends in SLC and stumbled upon this place. Latin owned. Love supporting local. Service is good. Pastries are to die for. We love the churro croissant and morning bun are delicious. The morning bun is flaky and sweet, not sickly sweet just enough. So good! Good thing this bakery is not local for me otherwise I would end up on my 600 lb life. Would love to try other treats the next time we visit Utah“
“This place never misses. We live in Louisiana and visit every time we are in town! The sandwiches are to die for.Almost had a heart attack when I first came back, and they had moved locations… Thank god they’re just around the corner.Do yourself a favor and get lunch at The Robins Nest.“
“I popped in here with my Husband for an early dinner. I was SOOO hungry! Good location with lots of fun shops and restaurants nearby. I forgot to get a picture. The food was fresh and yummy!!!! Good way to get your veggies in and eat something that’s healthier! So good!“
“So glad we found this great restaurant!Food is very, very good. Good price, amazing staff, huge portions and quick serve.I highly recommend the spring rolls, egg rolls, dumplings and to try both Pad Thai with Crispy Chicken and the Fried Rice with Crispy Chicken. It’s nice to get it all and share with friends.Their Thai Tea is also very, very good!“
“This is your local college pizza joint. In the pricier side here in Salt Lake, but you get what you pay for and this is our favorite pizza in Salt Lake (and that’s said coming from Manhattan).I’d recommend starting with a cheese pull-a-part, chicken Caesar salad if you want something semi healthy, and the Holy Shiitake Pie if you’re a fan of pesto and truffle.“
“I got one of their gluten free brownies from the Toasted Cheeser food truck in Brigham today and it was amazing! I would highly recommend giving them a try. Mrs. Hewitt's also has incredible advocates in the wonderful folks running the Toasted Cheeser.“
“We visited this place twice during one week stay in SLC. The staff was so friendly and patient while we were trying to place an order while with our toddler. We had lavender latte and cafe mocha both times, and tried several food items - Jalapeno Cheese Biscuit, BlackBerry Raspberry Scone, Almond Croissant, Bacon Quiche and Olive Oil Loaf. They were all tasty and stayed fresh even the next day. We were so happy about this find, we told our family and friends who were also in SLC and they loved it so much they went three times during their one week stay in SLC. Highly recommend - great drinks and food, spacious and clean space, and great service.Parking: There is some street parking that is free.Kid-friendliness: It is very spacious and has lots of tables/chairs/seats. They had one highchair available which we used without getting in the way of people in the cafe.“
“I can not express enough how impressed I was with the quality of food and customer service here. It was so good that I returned the following morning. There are very few restaurants that caters a portion of their menu to vegans that put in this type of level of care this place does. My food was seasoned so well that I did not even need to add S&P. Exceptional, thank you!“
“The first time there was an interesting experience. Everyone was nice and very friendly. Some meats were too rare for me. i mentioned so, so they said I'd be back, and they came back with more cooked meat Well done to my liking. This was dinner service they had a variety of meats and a variety of how they seasoned it different cuts of beef, a few options of chicken pork sausage, and pork ribs. The salad bar items were well stocked and delicious. There were loud moments i think it was birthday celebrations, so be aware of getting startled sometimes.“
“One of the coziest coffee shops I’ve ever been in, they’ve got local art on every wall, couches and comfy chairs, and a great atmosphere. The service is wonderful and the baristas have impeccable music taste (we’re talking the cranberries, the smashing pumpkins, blondie, mazzy star, etc) regardless of when I go. I could spend hours here doing homework or real work and be happy the whole time. They also have great coffee (in 12 or 20 oz cups for hot) and a ton of funky flavors. Great for mixing it up if you’re bored with your current coffee. Go here! It’s cozy! I’ll get ya if you don’t ?“
“I mean it’s vegan food… don’t get the margherita pizza, the cheese sticks to the roof of your mouth like grout and has the same consistency as slightly wet flour. Also they put cherry tomatoes on it? And covered the whole thing in cheese? Just odd choices for a vegan restaurant. The cauliflower wings are just roasted cauliflower… tasted great but why call them wings? The green curry is bomb as well. Also server was wonderful. Cool industrial interior as well. Pricey as hell though, almost no entrees are under $20. Cheapest I saw was $19, most were $21+. Desserts looked absolutely splendid, but we didn’t get them :(HALF OF THEIR MENU WAS CHEESE BASED ITEMS BY THE WAY! WHY?? Vegan food can be great but why are we trying so hard to make non-vegan foods vegan?Vegetarian options: They’re vegan for sure“
“Hostesses were very speedy and friendly, my waiter Jacob was incredibly informative, kind, and had great recommendations, and the pizza was great. The crust was flavorful, and totally different on the two pies that I ordered, the toppings were thoughtfully coordinated, and all of the ingredients tasted of a premium quality and freshness.Parking: Get there early, as the lot fills quickly.“
“Got the Chicken Shawarma in tin and it was delicious! Meat was soft, seasoned really well and tasted fresh. Rice was cooked perfectly. Salad was fresh tasting and it came with some green dressing and hot chili sauce! Super spicy but delicious. Nice and chill in there. Lady at the counter was super sweet and even brought my food to me. A little pricey but most food is nowadays. Definitely going back sometime in the future.Parking: Located south of 2100 South. Shares parking with a few other retail spaces and what looks like is the DIs parking lot. Pretty busy.“
“I bought 4 different cupcakes here to share with coworkers and WOW. We couldn't believe how good they were. The cake part was so moist and the frosting was perfect. The cupcakes weren't over sweet, they were just right which made you want to eat one more! There are many cupcake options to choose from and they have other sweets that look really good. Definitely coming back soon and highly recommend!“
“They're awesome! Very accommodating and flexible with any dietary preferences. The food is great. My favorite meal prep service I've tried in the SLC area! Highly recommend if you're looking for something long-term or for the weeks you're super busy. I like that they check in each week, so you have the opportunity to skip or modify your food choices.“
“Great local coffee shop with private (booth) or shared (farm table) seating options. If you get there early you'll find a solid selection of pastries and other baked goods. I had the breakfast empanadas most recently, they had been heated, but still had cold spots inside.“
“I ordered online to pickup a cake for one of my besties. When walking in for the first time I immediately loved the atmosphere. It was so clean + so cute! I felt welcomed and although I hadn’t noticed I arrived 5 mins earlier than the scheduled pick up time I didn’t mind waiting for the cake to be ready. Not only did they apologize but made sure to make it right by allowing me to pick out a small cake that was on display for “the inconvenience of waiting” it was the nicest thing. The cakes are amazing + incredibly delicious. I 100/10 recommend! <333“
“In the past few years, RoHa Brewing has gone from a neighborhood spot we would go into occasionally for a beverage or to sit on the dog-friendly patio on a beautiful day to a brewery that has absolutely stolen our hearts and become a cornerstone of the Ballpark neighborhood. Check out their instagram for a rotating calendar of community events (from fundraisers to save the Great Salt Lake to delicious local cheese tastings), beer releases, food trucks, & local bands. The beers are fun and have a wide range, the hard seltzers are refreshing, and even if you’re doing a Dry January or a Sober October, they’ll have something besides water for you to sip. But let’s be real: the real strength of RoHa is its people, both the staff and the regulars. They are so welcoming and friendly, and you don’t have to fit a certain look or be in a specific age range to receive a hello and a chat. Come on by and experience our lovely neighborhood brewery. No matter the season, it’s a nice place to be.“
“I was promptly greeted by friendly staff. The meat was super fresh as was the guacamole. The broccoli was amazing. The jalapeños and carrots were fresh and so was the cilantro. The steak was super flavorful and I am incredibly satisfied for the quality and flavour of food for the price point.“
“We recently dined at Emigration Brewing and had an excellent experience. We highly recommend this restaurant for its delicious food, impeccable service, and charming ambiance. We had the pleasure of trying their Canyon pizza, Halibut dish, Hefeweizen beer, BlackBerry sour cocktail, and Creme brûlée for dessert, all of which were outstanding. The food was top-notch, with each dish showcasing fresh ingredients and expert preparation. The Canyon pizza was flavorful and perfectly cooked, while the Halibut was tender and flavorful. The drinks, including the Hefeweizen and BlackBerry sour, were refreshing and complemented our meal perfectly. The service was also exceptional, with attentive staff who were knowledgeable about the menu and provided excellent recommendations. The ambiance of the restaurant was cozy and inviting, making it a great place to enjoy a meal with friends or family. We do recommend making a reservation in advance, as we didn't have one and had to wait for a while. It seems that the restaurant prefers reservations to ensure a smooth dining experience for all guests.Overall, Emigration Brewing exceeded our expectations with its great food, service, and ambiance. If we are ever in town again, we will definitely be returning and highly recommend it to others looking for a fantastic dining experience.Vegetarian options: Lots of salads and pizza as well as a vegetarian entree item.Parking: Abundant parking“
“Stone Ground has fantastic bread products. Since it is changed hands in the past year or so there have been price increases. The factory store prices for overages and products is a lot different. I feel like it has lost that original “owner” feel.“
“I was very impressed with Sawadee’s service, they got us in right when we walked in. The food came out faster than I expected and the portions really made the price more than worth it. The servicer was very attentive and while we were wrapping up there was a man on top of it, grabbing us to go sauces and extra utensils when we needed them. I’ve been searching for a favorite Thai restaurant in slc and I’m quite pleased with my experience! Highly recommended the tempura vegetables and Pad Thai.“
“Love this spot. Apps in particular are always good. Cocktails are delicious. Beer selection on point. However, the way they serve beer is disappointing, especially considering the care they clearly put into selecting imports and interesting beers to serve. Belgians, IPAs, Saison, etc are served in a Boston shaker pint glass. For such an elevated atmosphere and dining experience, I would expect them to use proper glassware to serve their brews.“
“Everything in the buffet was quite good, and they had a decent selection. Covered the bases for me, though I would've preferred a different dahl. Just my personal preference.I particularly loved the tandoori chicken. It was so tender and moist. Not dried out at all, like is so often the case with buffets. And their goat curry was also phenomenal. Highly recommend this one for the buffet.“
“We found this gem on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives. Definitely worth the visit. Great atmosphere, friendly staff, and delicious food with plenty of gluten-free options for those with diet restrictions. Being downtown, parking can be a bit of an issue, but the experience is worth the trouble. Also, if visiting during peak times, reservations should be considered.“
“This is hands down the best place to grab food to go in SLC. Really fresh food, made with good ingredients, tastes great. Friendly staff as well which is always nice. I always get the chicken grain bowl, but the Caesar bowl was also amazing, 100% recommend!“
“Spitz is such a fun, hip little restaurant, and this was our first time going to this location in Sugarhouse (we usually hit up the original downtown one). Awesome, friendly staff, and great vibe with the same hot pink tentrilled light fixture in the center of the room. It really looks like a place people go on a date to, but we went as a family and enjoyed the food, the music, the board/card games they had available to play, and the chalk board to draw on. They had plenty of high chairs and lower tables for the littles, so bring your family.Always get the pita bread, btw! It's the best and I dream of it always. Ahhhh!“
“My daughter and I ate at J Wongs on our final day in Salt Lake City. This place is very good! This was our first experience with a robot food delivery server!! Very cool technology and it made for a memorable experience! The food was very good and the portions were very generous. I had the Drunken Noodles and my daughter had the sesame chicken. Both were excellent and service was spot on! Skip the egg rolls, they were dry and not great. Regardless, We will be back!!“
“Our friends introduced us to Pogo, and we really enjoyed it. The food has incredibly fresh flavors and textures and this should be on your "must do" list if you are a foodie and in the SLC area.Atmosphere is warm, comfortable, and welcoming. It is on the smaller side, but this adds to the coziness of the experience. Will be back soon.“
“The meal was well-paced with plenty of time between appetizer, main, and dessert. Service was attentive while not hovering. Atmosphere was nice with music at a good volume and clean environment. Food was delicious and a perfect temperature.“
“I see why there is long a wait here every night. The food we had today was spectacular! We've experienced Tex-Mex in Austin and Cal-Mex in Southern California. Red Iguana more than holds it own against those two famous areas of the country for Mexican cuisine. This place looks like a hole in the wall from all the stickers on the door and windows, but don't let those fool you. This establishment serves up world-class Mexican food. This is a must visit restaurant in Salt Lake City.“
