“The best breakfast I had in Salt Lake City during my stay here. This bakery is very cozy and the food quality is great. The latte and croissant were great and everything was freshly baked. Highly recommended for brunch and breakfast if you are in the area!
It was crowded but the service was great and servers were fast. Lots of vegetarian and vegan options.“

“This place is the emoji of chef’s kiss ?. I landed in SLC and had a few hours to burn before I get into my day. Pulled up yelp and saw this place close to downtown (it’s a little outside but part of downtown - by the library) and thought should be fine. I was wrong, it was way better than fine.
The shop shared a kitchen with lady flour so the signage is a little confusing but it had a very old school vibe. Anybody who had been into an old school cafe or donut shop will remember the tables. The music and ambiance created a chill environment. A+
I ordered a breakfast sandwich and coffee and talked to the cashier if I could chill for a few hours. He said of course and gave me the WiFi password - service A+.
I take my first bite of my breakfast sandwich - heck yeah it was good. A+
I’m a fan of this place. If I lived in SLC, this would be my go to spot. Definitely plan on coming back when I leave California and find myself in SLC.“

“Their pastry base is probably the best I’ve ever had. Flaky crispy perfection. I would like to see more sweet flavor options though. Highly recommend!“

“This is going to be a long review. When you first walk in you are met with a delicious aroma of fresh bread, and pastries. The staff beats you with such sincerity that you feel like your family. I had called to put in a large catering order Tuesday afternoon right before closing; Wednesday was a holiday and I needed it by Thursday morning. They had everything boxed up ready to go…. Only for me to realize the coolers I bought were not big enough for a box. They offered to repackage everything into smaller boxes. The smaller boxes worked perfectly. While I waited I ordered the Turkey, avocado, bacon sandwich. I can honestly say that was the best turkey avocado, bacon sandwich I have ever eaten. As I write this, I am thinking of how delicious that sandwich was and trying to convince myself that a 50 mile drive for a sandwich is a bit much. The turkey was a thicker cut, juicy, flavorful, and it had that Thanksgiving roasted flavor to it. The bacon Cooked perfectly, not too crisp so you don’t chip a tooth , and not underdone where it is chewy. The avocado was fresh, and it was ripened to the perfect stage. The sandwich also contained some lettuce, and a dressing, which was delicious. All of this delectable goodness placed on fresh bread. The bread had a perfect crunchy outer crust While the inside was soft. The bread itself had an amazing flavor to it with all the seeds and nuts in it made a perfect sandwich. I will write a follow up after the party tonight. It will include photos.“

“I would have to say, They have the best sour dough gluten free bread I have ever had. Worth every penny!
Since I first posted they have done one better. Some of the treats a pastrues here are great tasty treats. This is by far my favoritw gluten free bakery. I wish the website was up and running so I could get items shipped to me I would be ordering bread once a month. Instead of when I visit.“

“Pasties are phenomenal--the dough is so well-seasoned that even bites that are just crust are still totally delicious. The donuts are as big as your face and the cherry jelly donut is like tart cherry pie filling with a hint of nutmeg--best donut I've had in SLC, no contest. The bagels are also solid. Nothing on this menu has disappointed, and I've tried most of it. The only area I'd say could really stand improvement is they should step up their coffee game to match the quality of the food.“

“I live in the Buffalo New York area and I have recently discovered this bread at a local grocery store. I love it. I love the flavor. I love the hamburger rolls as well. My only complaint is that the bread that comes sliced is full of lots of holes it’s hard to get one piece of bread that doesn’t disintegrate when I eat it, but I’ll take it because it definitely Has amazing flavor.“

“Granary Bakehouse is an absolute treasure. The croissant I had was divine—flaky, buttery, and just the right amount of crispness. It's easily one of the best I've had in the city. Ok, it is the best one. I am very specific about my croissants.
I also tried their bagels, which are perfectly chewy with a crust, just the way a bagel should be. They know what they are doing.
And don’t even get me started on the scones—they are out of this world! Moist, flavorful, and not too sweet, not too soft either. A real scone. I hope more coffee shops around the valley will source their scones out of here.“
“Came here for coffee and a light breakfast. I got the toast of the day, beet hummus and ricotta and my friend got the sandwich of the day, ham and cheese. The toast was good but was pretty expensive at $9. The sandwich was a better deal at $12 and was quite tasty but it had really fibrous, inedible pieces of fennel in it which you had to pick out. I also got a couple pastries and a sourdough loaf to-go. The pain au chocolate was $9 but was ridiculously good, so flaky and buttery! Worth it as a special treat. The food was good but didn't seem worth the price, I think the move for table x bread is going for the freshly baked pastries and breads instead of ordering the toasts/sandwiches. Their bread is so good, crispy and crusty on the outside but soft on the inside, highly recommend the sourdough. The drip coffee was also worth it, very flavorful and reasonably priced. If you plan to eat here, be mindful that there are only 3 indoor seats (there are several small tables outside).“

“I can’t say enough about these cookies! I was in SLC on a mini vacation and stumbled upon the store while exploring. I am a cookie fanatic so I had to stop in. These cookies are heaven! And the sample size was a whole quarter of the cookies! They aren’t too sweet, the flavors are creative and all work well (who would have thought a butternut squash cookie would be so good), perfectly baked. I took a dozen home with me last night. There are only crumbs left lol“

“Alicia and her crew made the CUTEST bee themed cake pops for a baby shower I just gave. We also ordered alfajores in honey, coconut, and chocolate. Guests all raved about how darling and delicious her treats were. Saving their number and highly recommend to anyone wanting “wow factor”, crowd-pleasing goodies for their parties. Thanks so much, Alicia!“

“I own Rovali's Ristorante Italiano in Ogden and I would like to commend Stone Ground Bakery for going above and beyond the call to get me much needed rolls during a power outage. They found a solution for us, because they didn't have our regular rolls. I literally walked into a dark bakery and they were able to get me what I needed to make sure my restaurant was still able to operate normally. Thanks again, Stone Ground Bakery!!“

“Yum! I was very happy with the hot cheeto mozzarella dog. It was huge! And the spicy mayo to get the dust to stick was the perfect touch. Coming in a little expensive for 1 dog (shy of $10) but if they continue to be this size I'd say they're absolutely worth it!“
“AMAZING, DELICIOUS, CREATIVE!!! 5 stars are not enough. Kelly Jo went above & beyond our expectations for my daughters wedding. She created a box of cookies with pictures of the bride & groom that were not only fun but delicious. In addition the truffle hearts were SO SCRUMPTIOUS that I am craving them and will be asking her to send them to NYC where we live. The entire packaging of the cookies & sweets were elegant. Kelly Jo made sure colors matched the wedding colors. All guests were from the East Coast and EVERYONE was raving!! Besides being so talented, Kelly Jo is the most delightful, responsive person to work with!! Thank you!! Thank you!! Thank you!!!!“

“I am so excited that we finally have a beard papa here in Salt Lake City! I went to the one in Denver regularly and when I say the Oreo eclair, honey courted, and green tea will change your life. I am not playing. The cream in side, to the perfect shell. There’s no beating it!!“

“Annie makes the best macarons in Salt Lake. Far superior to any other bakey. She really puts her heart into what she makes and you can taste it! The churro flavor is my favorite, she's got plenty of amazing options. Great gift idea or even if you're looking to spoil yourself! I need to try my best to not eat them all in one sitting! Thanks Annie!“
“Stopped by this little hole in the wall on the way to RAC, and couldn't have been more pleasantly surprised.
Fresh breads coming out of the oven to the rack, all kinds of things I haven't seen before, and a very sweet helpful elderly man and woman running the place.
I got fruit filled pastries, the 'empanadas,' a raspberry flaky pastry, and the best thing I have had recently-- a FRIED EMPANADA WITH RICE PUDDING COATED IN SUGAR!!
This was so amazing, I can't believe it.
Also this wasn't super expensive, and all Fresh.“

“I called today because my husband had bought me chocolate covered strawberries for Valentine’s Day and I couldn’t pick them up. I got this wonderful guy on the phone named Eric. To my surprise, he said he would bring them over to me. So he totally went out of his way to make sure I had a good Valentine’s Day and to deliver the present my husband had bought. This business knows what customer service is. Thank you Eric for making my Valentine’s Day. Debbie you have wonderful employees. Thank you so much.“

“If you are looking for the best coffee in SLC, look no further. I tried them once and immediately put myself on their subscription service. Every roast, every bean I have tried has been an amazing cup of coffee. The only suggestion I have for them is this: please offer a French press in your cafe. Your coffee is magical and a French press would better an already amazing experience.“

“:( sad they dont have a walk in to buy cookies individually. Every time i smell it in the air i crave it. Maybe if they sold their larger packages to the diesel gas stations near by it would be cool. Fresh local cookies off of California avenue ??“

“I went for the first time this week because it’s Wizarding week and wanted the Harry Potter ones. I went in said I had never been there and asked if any of them had peanuts in them. I was told yes, but that they could custom that one so I could still get it which they did and the guy that was working was very cautious to make sure they were safe for me. I will definitely be returning“

“Every single time I am in Salt Lake, I make a point of taking the time to have a Turkish coffee and her amazing food. The atmosphere is welcoming and cozy and the energy is fantastic. The food and coffee are the best and endless tea as well. My favorite coffee spot of all time.“
