“What a cool Italian place here in SLC. It was my first time and in the mid-afternoon. The service was exceptional (sampling with descriptions and even met the nonna!) and the pesto is excellent. Northern Dolomiti heritage. Going back for more pesto and local-made sausage!“
“An incredible experience overall. A gem in a charming neighborhood. The carpaccio was one of the best we've had. The wait staff was knowledgeable, kind and professional. For dessert we had affogatos and they were next level. We will be back for sure.“
“We found this place unexpectedly. A group of us were planning on another spot for dinner, but the wait was ridiculous. So we took to yelp and found an Italian joint nearby with good reviews. I had never even heard of it. It's a cute space with ample seating, the gelato/dessert case up front, and table side flaming bananas foster. We sat at a big round table. Our hostess was sweet and took care of us. Everyone enjoyed their food. I had the three colored gnocchi. The green pesto was my favorite. The white sauce was a little salty, but overall I loved it. We shared a nice bottle of wine and had some tiramisu for the dolce. I love when you stumble upon a place unplanned. I'd love to come back soon!“
“This place is so good. This is the second time we’ve picked up pasta here and, so far, our favorite sauces are the simple San Marzano and San Marzano with veggies. The latter has more of that onion flavor you might be used to in sauces if you don’t usually get simple red sauces. The pasta is fresh and has a great bite. It’s not watery, overcooked, or bland. A lot comes in a regular size so you’ll be filled. Both flavors of panna cotta are wonderful. The chocolate is rich and the mixed berry is my personal favorite.I really appreciate that there’s a place with great fresh pasta that’s so accessible.“
“Amazing place! We’re visiting from out of town and to be honest, are used to very high end food and drink options and have struggled to find that here in Utah. This place saved us from thinking all food here is mid. I had the BEST lasagne of my life here and that’s sure saying something. Absolutely go here, great atmosphere, service and drinks as well.“
“Such a delicious Italian restaurant I’ve ever been to! And I will say, Darby being our waitress, she did not disappoint at all! She made us feel so welcomed and she was overall the best representation of amazing customer service! Job well done!!“
“Going to go out my way to heap praise on VENETO. I took my wife for her 40th birthday. She is from Northern Italy. Normally we avoid Italian restaurants like the plague but the menu was full of authentic Northern Italy dishes and ingredients. Once she saw Marco, the owner, is from Verona, she was sold to try.The service is exceptional -- like dining in Italy. Super high service and food standard Loved the small space -- there's only 15 or so tables in the restaurant. The Antipasta and Primer dishes were amazing. We did the beef tartare and a certain quiche-like dish (Sformato) very unique to the region -- my wife loved them and I did too.For Primeri we did the gnocchi and the pear ravioli. Exceptionally made. Tiramisu for dessert and it was beautiful - almost as good as my wife's :-).Have to shoutout Mariano for his hosting too. My wife felt back home and was so so happy at the whole experience. Thank you for making that day even more special.Highly highly recommend.“
“My wife and I have been excited to try this place! The environment and decor is great. The service was awesome. The food was really good. We would definitely come back. We went right after it opened and they didn't have their liquor license yet which they said they should have soon. We got the smoked trout dip (4/5) the chips were especially good. The risotto (1.5/5) was our least favorite. It was a little crunchy and the green apples in it didn't really compliment the dish. The braised beef and hummus was INCREDIBLE (6/5). So so tasty and tender. The pomegranate molasses was such a nice touch and the flat bread was awesome. Speaking of which the bread they bring out at the beginning also INCREDIBLE (6/5). We also got the smoked pastrami and charred cabbage (4/5). It was a yummy dish. I don't think I'd get it again. Surprisingly the charred cabbage was the star of the show, not the pastrami but it was still an enjoyable dish to try. We will definitely be back to Roux!“
“Only one problem. The food was outstanding, the service was outstanding, our waiter (Arty) was outstanding, the ambience was outstanding, and there was only one issue. Parking was perfect for valet drop off at the front but after dinner, when we were returning to our car, the valet indicated we should walk straight across the pathway transitioning the island, which meant stepping into a large reservoir of water about 2 feet across. There was snow and ice everywhere else and that transition was not feasible. Therefore, as a couple of 80 year-old customers, we had to walk all the way around the island in the snow and the slippery ice with no help or guidance from the valet. One slip in those conditions would have been a disaster. Why could the valet not have just simply moved the car up to the door for our exit? Or, why could you not have a small bridge across the deep water that blocked our transition across the island? Other than that, our experience was outstanding, and we are looking forward to considering having another dinner at Tuscany in the future.“
“We are in Salt Lake city downtown from December 12, 2023 till may they say... we found this place by driving by looking for some Food we did U turn middle of the Road... we got the killer philly cheese steak sub n fries... awesome and the Fry Sauce AwesomeAwesome Sauce today my wife and I got the meatball and chicken parn subs plus fries the food is so good and great portions the staff is friendly, funny and kickass we can't wait to try the Egg parm next I'd recommend this place to anyone who wants some good food and great prices“
“Hostesses were very speedy and friendly, my waiter Jacob was incredibly informative, kind, and had great recommendations, and the pizza was great. The crust was flavorful, and totally different on the two pies that I ordered, the toppings were thoughtfully coordinated, and all of the ingredients tasted of a premium quality and freshness.Parking: Get there early, as the lot fills quickly.“
“Aside from going 80 in the slow lane Carlucci's is the only thing I miss about Utah. Their coffee is excellent, I haven't had a baked good there I didn't love. Though I have to call out their Decadences (rich chocolate torts) and fruit tarts are especially good. I am addicted to their amazing pasta salad, and baked Italian tofu sandwiches. But their other lunch and breakfast items are also amazing. Seriously go there and enjoy.“
“This is a spacious restaurant - seating is comfy and you're not rubbing elbows in the literal sense with other diners. The menu here is very good - I'm a vegetarian, so this checks the boxes for me. But there is something for everyone - and portions are quite large - so bring a healthy appetite when you visit. I'm a regular customer here. The staff is wonderful and eager to please. Enjoy!“
“We were in Salt Lake City for a conference and staying in a nearby hotel. My friend requires gluten-free options, so we headed here because they offered zucchini noodles. The food was so good we returned a few nights later for more of their tasty offerings! Nice atmosphere. Friendly staff.“
“Seasons never disappoints! their quality is top tier and the flavors and freshness are unmatched im so thankful that out of all the fast food type vegan restaurants and repetitive same old nasty dishes like tiger wings, impossible burgers etc. I have the privilege to have an amazing place like seasons in my city thank you seasons!“
“This was my second trip here. It doesn't' come across as an Italian restaurant, despite really being one. Italian inspired is correct. Unfortunately, the ravioli dish with had rolled pasta wasn't available. A number of dishes with on premises extruded pasta were. It's very good pasta. We skipped the cocktail, but had a nice bottle of wine. It paired well with the food. Everything we had was excellent. It was mostly specials so not worth going over in detail.“
“Food and services here are top notch, we order some beets starter and burrata and grilled tomatoes and it was perfect, Margarita was our waitress and she was kind and sweet. We ended our meal with their chocolate warm tart which was delicious.“
“This was our first time at Salt and Olive and it did not disappoint! We ordered the special soup and it was delicious. Our main courses were the gnocchi special and the Tagliatelle. Meals were good but not amazing! The service was great. We arrived at 5:30 and by 6:30 the place was full! We'll be back!“
“The food was fresh and authentically Italian. Particularly the bread with garlic oil. The gnocchi was okay but over salted and the sauce very rich, I felt it was overpriced for something I could easily make at home. The service was okay but I had to wait 20 min for a table despite making a reservation. Overall the experience was positive but overpriced.“
“Maxwell's Little Bar is a fantastic neighborhood spot for delicious food and drinks! I moved into the building housing this pub and love it!The staff are so welcoming and friendly plus getting to meet my new neighbors in a relaxing open space has been great. It's definitely worth checking out!“
“If you like Italian food then you have to visit this restaurant in SLC! We went there twice during our 4 day stay. The service was great and so was the food! For appetizers I recommend the whipped Brie and carpaccio. The bread service was also so yummy! As for the entrees we got the risotto, brasato braised beef, truffle pasta which were 10/10. The filet Mingon was also tasty but could use a little bit less salt. Ravioli al Funghi is vegan and also tasted very fresh. As for dessert I would recommend the tiramisu! Honestly everything was flavorful 10/10 recommend.“
