“Store is busting out at the seams with all the folks who come into eat. Great german food. Happy that they still get so much imported meats and cheeses. Parking is tough to find, and they could stand to get more square footage, but all in all, I love going there.
The owner is a frosty woman. She looks at you like she'd rather stab you in the face then take your credit card.. but when they're the only German store in town with the deli, I'm stupid enough to keep going back.
Honestly they need to figure out how to separate the food buying area from the meat counter. It's too hard to buy the special needs when there's a line out the door for people wanting to buy food from the deli counter.
I'm starting to buy more bottled items from the Russian store. Senfgurken are literally $3 less. Still German. Mustards too. A lot of are imported chocolates are cheaper at Pirate O's. Last year I bought some of the chocolates filled with brandy and the chocolate was so old it was white...“

“Easily one of the best burgers in Utah. Skip the lines at the trendy burger joints and eat this. you'll thank me. I've tried the mushroom swiss and the pastrami so far and was REALLY happy with both. Excellent fry sauce!!! i got waffle fries one time 👍and wedges another 👎.“

“Great time in a Charming neighborhood downtown SLC with authentic fresh Italian offerings. The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating. Loved the selection of olives cheeses pastas and other delicacies. Check out their fresh sandwiches, really hit the spot you really get the feeling of a local Hometown grocery store each team member puts in a lot of passion and love for what they do. I learned so much about jesus! The young lady at the counter even help me pick out the perfect salami cheese spread combo“

“So yesterday at work I'm devouring the most magical of bagels while waiting for someone to help me for a will call. I was so invested in cream cheese heaven that I didn't notice two of the employees trying to get my attention from the other side of a glass partition. Shortly after (who actually knows how long they watched me just DESTROY said bagel) they came through the man door, one of them in tears while the other just said: "Man, I wish my girlfriend looked at me like you looked at that bagel." The epic bagel of this story? Brought to you by Maxi's Deli!“

“OMG! This place is AMAZING! If you're a first time visitor, they'll ask for your name, and then even remember you the next time you come in. That, along with their truly delicious food, is just 1 of the many reasons I keep coming back. Each day they serve a different daily special. Their meatball sub and sloppy Joe's are my favorites so far. Their chicken cordon blue is FANTABULOUS as well. But, it's more than just the food that keeps me coming back. Mandy, the owner, is exactly how 1 would expect an owner to be. Her friendliness towards every customer is more than just amazing. She, along with Lisa and Candice, make me feel like I'm much more than just a customer. I could probably go on and on, but, you get my point. Please come in and see all of this for yourself?“

“The food here is to die for! And I came in today craving the turkey pot pie and when they were all out - the owner came out and told me he would make me one from scratch!!! Also the front of house worker was kind and helpful and patient with us! Such a wonderful place to eat and get goods from!“

“I went to pick up my Christmas ham and there was already a well organized waiting area, outside the front doors.
They had a tent setup for the walk up customers with a simple crowd queue.
They had a Separate crowd queue set up for pre ordered, pre paid customers that moved quickly!
From now on, I will pre order and pre pay! 👍“
