Gluten-Free Restaurants near Bountiful, UT

“Have an open mind, know that it is more like a Bistro Restaurant with proteins, sides and salads. My wife I were up in Salt Lake from Ca, for General Conference and decided to stop in. We came at a slow time and Hy was prepping the prime rib for the evening. We asked a few questions before we were seated and he offered us a taste the prime rib with the horseradish, Note: I can’t stand Horseradish, but I was blown away by his. We asked for recommendations and listen as he described the different mains and the sides and we made a choice. I had the prime rib (w/a side of Horseradish) and my wife had the fish. As we waited for our food to be prepared, we walked around the inside of the restaurant and were taken back by the decor, it match the out side, quit interesting. Our food arrived and it was beyond what we have had in any restaurant back in Oceanside or Carlsbad Ca. We finished the meal and we were able to continue to talk with Hy about the location, the vibe, finding out he grows majority of his vegetables that he uses, in the back lot of the property. He then gave us an impromptu cooking class using his special blend of spices and seasonings, that he has for sale in the restaurant and on Amazon too as it turns out! We tasted some of the best roasted chicken in cream sauce, prime rib with his southwestern spice mix! All and all our experience was beyond a doubt, very enjoyable. Granted not everyone will have the experience my wife and I had, but Hy was very pleasant and yes, very focused on his work of prepping, cooking, over seeing the students that worked in his restaurant.“

“The food here is truly something else. I’ve never been to a restaurant with as much variety, and I have always had an appreciation for more ‘tropical’ foods (and this fits the bill!)
It’s more affordable than most other restaurants these days and I would love to come again to try everything else the wonderful staff has to offer. Tabitha was especially amazing, she was so courteous and made us feel welcome. I’ve never been smiled at so genuinely, and it really made Rumbi feel like a safe, peaceful place to be.“

“I have been gluten free for about 1.5 years and was so excited to hear there was a gluten free bakery only 30 minutes away from me! I purchased their gluten free bread, orange roll and muddy buddy cookie. The gluten free bread is one of the best loaves of gluten free bread I have tried. Even my gluten eating husband agreed. I cut it up when I got home and put the slices in the freezer. They defrosted very well! The orange roll is amazing, too! My grandma used to make orange rolls growing up so it was so nostalgic and delicious when I heated it up in the microwave for about 20 seconds. The cookie was good, too. Overall, I was very impressed by the quality of the food and how delicious everything tasted. The only downside was how expensive it was. I paid $28 for those 3 items but also I’m not surprised because everyone who eats gluten free (by choice or out of necessity) knows it’s not cheap.“

“My GF and I got a peaches and cream sweet roll, a mixed berry sweet roll, and a key lime pie. All of them were excellent.

Almost had to give 4/5 stars because the key lime pie crust was so good but the ratio of crust was off. Wanted more of it lol.“

“We had a wonderful experience at Matteo this evening. The food was excellent and the service was outstanding. Our waiter, John, was amazing. We were four adults and two young children. He made us feel comfortable and he understood what was needed to make the meal enjoyable for both the adults and the kids.

Start with the Antipasto Italiano. The presentation is beautiful and the meats and cheeses are of the highest quality.

As for the entrees, all were delicious, except one. The cioppino and the lobster bisque pasta are great choices if you are a big seafood fan. It’s the spicy sausage pasta that fell short. It was not warm when it arrived at the table and it was bland, not spicy. I told John that I wasn’t happy with the pasta. He asked if I could describe the problem so he could tell the chef and he helped me choose a different dish - the lasagna which was rich and creamy and full of flavor.

Finish with the tiramisu. It’s unusual with espresso brownie bits instead of lady fingers and it is the perfect ending to a fabulous dinner.“

“I think that Ruth’s Chris steakhouse is my most favorite and most popular restaurant for me to go there and eat really good food from there and my favorite food from there was there chicken breast and mashed potatoes and lobster bisque soup and hot buttery rolls and chocolate cake for dessert and it was really good and delicious and I would totally eat it all again and touring the restaurant with the owner and meeting the staff was also a fun experience to also and if I were to rate the restaurant on a scale of one to ten I would definitely give it a solid ten out of ten rating from my time visiting the restaurant and I would totally recommend the restaurant to anyone who would like to go to the restaurant to eat there and enjoy the experience there !!“

“I tried the TRAX Main St location today and love it. The baristas are friendly and the cold brew is great. Also, the atmosphere is relaxing. You can’t beat the location next to a TRAX station. I will definitely be back.“

I saw several people walking around and taking pictures/videos inside of all the decor items if that tells you anything! I think it's a grest place to bring a date, a group, or even just go solo! Indoor/outdoor sesting available. TV's with sports on at the bar but visible from the whole restraunt! A big plus.“

“sawadee has some of the best Thai/curry in salt lake. I was disappointed when I visited last Saturday. I do not have the opportunity to get to this location often and it usually has to be on a Saturday. I just found out that they are no longer offering the lunch menu on Saturday. The lunch menu is my favorite because I could enjoy two smaller portions of different dishes instead of one larger dish. please bring back your lunch menu on the weekend!“

“This was an amazing dinner! The place came highly rated by my Uber driver as the best Thai food in SLC and it did not disappoint. I had the curry and it was delightfully seasoned and graciously served. The taste was nothing short of delicious and our waitress was sweet and helpful. “Gluten free not by choice and always ecstatic to find a safe gluten free bakery. I got the cinnamon bread, cinnamon muffin and cinnamon roll. All were delicious so the next day I went back for another muffin and roll. It has been nothing but delicious food and great, positive vibes from the woman who has helped me both days. I felt very welcome here (especially being from out of town) and did not get sick due to their strict enforcement of no cross contamination.“

“I own Rovali's Ristorante Italiano in Ogden and I would like to commend Stone Ground Bakery for going above and beyond the call to get me much needed rolls during a power outage. They found a solution for us, because they didn't have our regular rolls. I literally walked into a dark bakery and they were able to get me what I needed to make sure my restaurant was still able to operate normally. Thanks again, Stone Ground Bakery!!“

It is something that restaurants in Utah are usually hesitant to do, but I have been to dining events in other states before and the food and pairings at Twigs were on point. “100% RECOMMEND! This is our favorite place to eat in PSL! The food is unique and fresh, the restaurant and bathrooms are clean, and the customer service is the best! Once you’ve been there a couple of times they remember you and pretty much know what your “usual” is. Dennis, the owner, has been there a few times when we were there and he always comes over to say “thank you for coming in.” He even covered our bill one time when he found out we are Veterans. “Just had our wedding here a couple weeks ago, can’t tell you how much we enjoyed the process and eventually our big day.
