Kennedy's Cabaret Bar • $
412 W 600 N, Salt Lake City

“I have been to Kennedy's Cabaret a couple of times now. Kennedy, the owner, is inspiring. What she is doing goes beyond Cabaret. She is providing a venue for both experienced talent and new talent in various forms of entertainment. I have met a few of the entertainers like Ciara. Search Instagram for ciarapoledanceand Aria. Search Instagram for ariasaerials19These are just two of the fine talent Kennedy's Cabaret showcases.Aria came to our table, after her performance, and spoke with my wife and myself. She showed genuine interest in meeting us. Aria is not only talented but an athlete with strength to impress. Her pole and hoop work just amazed me.Ciara is also extremely talented and an athlete as well. She is very kind and thoughtful performer. She asked me what music artist I liked and she then gave, what felt like, a personal performance for me; making eye contact, having a smile and I swear she winked at me.Both Aria and Ciara (as well as the other performers) make the experience personal.Great performers make the extremely difficult to look easy and these women do that. Cabaret absolutely has an erotic element, and these women do not disappoint. Physically fit, toned, sexy and talented is a combination that makes tipping these performers a pleasure. They earn and deserve big tips in my book. What makes Kennedy's Cabaret different and better than other venues is the owner (Kennedy) and how she cares about the performers. Kennedy is creating more than just a cabaret but a place for artists of all kinds to have a stage and audience. From my experience at other venues, this is one of the many aspects that makes Kennedy's Cabaret a special place.Note that the cover charge goes to the talent and not the owner's pocket. Kennedy's Cabaret is the kind of place we're you will feel like you belong there and want to frequently return to. I will take photos on my next visit. As for the couple of negative reviews, I find them sad and disappointing. Those persons didn't take the time or put forth any energy to discover what a gem Kennedy's Cabaret is and how wonderful the people are that work and perform their. If you got through my long review and see this note, don't let the few negative reviews influence you to not go to Kennedy's not just once but many times. Also note the amount spent includes the tips we give to the performers. Drink prices are easy on the wallet too.Parking: There is more parking than may first meet the eye. You can park in front of the gate as the bar is open after the gate use hours. You can also park along the building on the west side of the parking lot and in front of the Soup Kitchen. There are four slots reserved for the talent. You can also park under the overpass. I have never seen any persons there that would cause me concern. I think you can also park on the street out front but I need to confirm that.“

“As someone who appreciates a quieter atmosphere, my visit to Water Witch left me with mixed feelings. While I understand that many patrons adore this establishment, I found myself grappling with certain aspects that might not have bothered me in my younger days.Space Constraints: The first thing that struck me was the size of the place. It felt too small. The limited square footage made it challenging to move around comfortably.Crowded Environment: Unfortunately, the cozy space way too crowded. The moment we walked in it was difficult to find a quiet corner to enjoy my time.Drink Menu: Glancing at the drink menu, I noticed that the options were somewhat limited. While I appreciate simplicity, I wished for a broader variety of beverages to choose from.Bar Noise: Attempting to engage the bartender proved futile due to the crowded bar area and the deafening music. Conversations were drowned out, and I couldn’t even inquire about specific drinks.Outdoor Escape: Thankfully, Water Witch had a saving grace: a porch/deck space equipped with heaters. Stepping outside allowed me to escape the cramped interior and catch a breath of fresh air.Smoking Area: Regrettably, this outdoor space had a downside: it was also the designated smoking area. As a non-smoker, this dampened my experience. In summary, Water Witch has its merits, especially for those who thrive in lively environments. However, if you seek a more tranquil setting, consider timing your visit carefully or exploring the outdoor space. Just be prepared for a bit of cigarette smoke if you do venture outside.“

“This is a great place and as many say a hidden gem. The ladies are very beautiful and absolutely great to chat with. Always very polite and well mannered and friendly. It is always a treat to meet any of them. Patrons can sometimes be a hit and miss, specially those who go to hang out and do not tip. These ladies really deserve better as they are probably the most beautiful leaving behind the ladies at places rated to be better - so it’s now up to you to make it even better. They serve all kinds of drinks and always your favorite beer. The entire staff is great and the food is great too - you won’t regret having a burger or their chicken tenders. Plenty of space and as opposed to most other places you can play pool and still watch the show. Just to name a few, do not miss Wendy, Blossom, Sake, Luna, Brooklyn, Lola, Ari, Lissie, Chanel, Blondie, Rae, Sammy and I’m sure I’m missing many more - you will find them at different times of the day, not like at other places where they reserve their best for prime time hours. I love the fact that they will also take requests and play your favorite songs. Be there or be square but more than anything else be a good customer because you will not be disappointed…and trust me, I know this place for decades….“

“We had dinner and drinks here and were happy with the experience. For food, definitely try the birria tacos-- super duper yummy. We also had the honey walnut shrimp and it was quite enjoyable! For drinks, we had a variety of cocktails and were happy with all of them. We also went up to their rooftop area for a while and liked the views -- it was just a much smaller space up there so we were a little squished next to other groups. The service was good, but a little bit quirky. It's hard to explain, but it just seems like since they're still new, they're trying to figure out what they want to be (theme and ambiance wise) and that's totally fine. We would definitely go back again, and we want this business to do well.“

The miso fried chicken and the grilled cheese were great but I was unimpressed by the sloppy Joe and a couple of the cocktails were pretty average. The fried banana dessert was fantastic. Some of the tables are a bit odd and uncomfortable (the tall couches in the back were fun but not at all practical). Overall it was a very enjoyable evening but the price tag was up there (close to $50 a person after tax and tip) and I think they need to refine a few menu items.“

“Ok y'all, hear me out. This place isn't the fanciest, but that's what makes it great. They cook up a steak sexier than a summer dress on a windy day. The char makes you want to run out into the street and yell a high pitched "yeah" at the top of your lungs. The menu is so reasonably priced, and the portions so large, you'll struggle not leaving a larger tip than you normally would. Know what you're getting yourself into, Post 71 is full of "regulars", so you may get an up and down look as an outsider, but the staff are as friendly as can be and will make sure you are well taken care of. We also decided to try a couple plates. The taro scotch egg was so good and the sauce was like this really nice chili crisp with a husky flavor that complemented it well. “Stopped in again today for food Saturday afternoon. Same situation with awkward parking and gruff bouncer, but as it was a bit slower I got great service and all my questions answered. The place is still the same, but as I asked about burgers they let me in with drink and burger order (12$ total, 8$ for burger and 4$ for soda). No root beer or creme soda, so I got sprite again. There were two dancers and three patrons, only one of which was watching (from the bar). As before the dancers here are the most fun and though it was hard to hear, the chatting is nice. The burger arrived hot and fresh, and with tons of good fries and with fry sauce. The first bite was tasty. The ingredients seemed to be all good, except that the cheese was heavily processed and the bun was a bit stale. As I write this now, I feel a little ill, so I probably won't get it again, but it didn't diminish my short visit today so I still recommend this place as the best small strip club in SLC.“

“Spitz is such a fun, hip little restaurant, and this was our first time going to this location in Sugarhouse (we usually hit up the original downtown one). Awesome, friendly staff, and great vibe with the same hot pink tentrilled light fixture in the center of the room. It really looks like a place people go on a date to, but we went as a family and enjoyed the food, the music, the board/card games they had available to play, and the chalk board to draw on. They had plenty of high chairs and lower tables for the littles, so bring your family.Always get the pita bread, btw! It's the best and I dream of it always. Ahhhh!“

Dick N' Dixie's Bar • $

“Fair prices and beer/liquor/wine selection. Never overly empty or packed on a weekend in my experience, which means there’s a decent shot at a game or two on the pool table. Not overrun by college kids. 5 stars for being a couple blocks from my place and the aforementioned reasons.“

The Vault Bar • $$

“Atmosphere was perfect. Exactly how you imagine a classic hotel bar. The drinks were perfectly crafted. Nick was very personable. I forget the other bartenders name tonight (which is stupid of me because all bartenders wear nametags in Utah), but he showed traits that I look for in a bartender. The bar was fully stocked. If there was a cocktail they weren't familiar with, they took great care to make it precisely and balanced. 10 out of 10. Will recommend when I have family visit.“

Willies Lounge Bar • $

“Small and intimate playing Cypress Hill on the jukebox. If you like beer you can order 4 for $10. They give you a pint and three tokens so the draft is fresh every pour. Big Willie's is right across the street so you can order food from Big Willie's and they will deliver your food with a big smile and extra Fry sauce. You can call in your order. There is an app but not sure if you can order food from it. If you order food to be delivered, break it off for them with a $10 spot at least, just sayin'. We're play playing a league tournament and everyone is having a good time, win or lose. I like this little spot. Big industrial sized Golden Tee, big screen TVs showing sports and they do Karaoke! Cool ass bar!“

“VFW posts are well known for being very supportive of veterans and this post is no exception. They run an open bar, non-veterans are welcome, and you don’t need to be a BFW member to have a drink there. Drinks are very cheap, the bartenders are friendly and fast, you can run a tab with a credit card, and they have pretty good bands most weekends. This is not a fancy bar. I was there with some other vets and it was very friendly. I recommend it.“
