“Overall Slackwater was delicious and so fun! Payton did a great job making sure everything we needed was provided in a timely manner. She was knowledgeable, friendly, and patient when I couldn’t make up my mind with all the beer selections they offer! Will come back.“
“Scion Cider Bar in Salt Lake City is a delightful haven for cider enthusiasts, newbies, or anyone just wanting to try a new place. Let me paint a vivid picture of this gem:Atmosphere: The Scion Cider Bar exudes a relaxed and inviting vibe. As you step inside, the air hums with the promise of good times. Long communal tables and cozy bar tops beckon, creating an ideal setting for camaraderie.Eclectic Crowd: Here’s the magic: Scion manages to attract a diverse crowd. Whether you’re a sprightly young soul or a seasoned connoisseur (like myself), you’ll feel right at home. No age barriers, just good company.Games and Conversations: Picture this: multiple tables engaged in lively games. It’s like a symphony of laughter and friendly competition. And what pairs perfectly with games? Drinks! Scion gets it right with their enticing selection.Cider Wonderland: The bartender, with a warm smile, guides you through the cider wonderland. She’s like a compass, helping you navigate the sea of options. While I reveled in the cider flights, my hubby found his IPA match. Variety is the spice of life, after all.Food Temptations: Now, I missed out on the food (dinner timing, you know), but the anticipation lingers. The cheese board awaits my return, promising a symphony of flavors.Scion Cider Bar—where conversations flow, games ignite, and cider reigns supreme. Cheers to good times! ? I will definitely be back!“
“Really great food! Truly a gourmet experience turned into a quick sandwich foodie experience. Very happy with the food, service, and space. Will return. I'm excited places like this are starting to pop up in Utah. I had the Collard Green sandwich, Brussels sprouts, and Cajun fries.“
“There’s some haters in this world. But I guess that means this restaurant is doing somethibg right. No one is happy anymore and everyone is a food critic. With that being said, I haven’t ever been disappointed coming here. I go once or twice a week and the food has always been consistent and the staff has always been helpful. I like the welcoming feeling the restaurant provides. Keep doing what you’re doing.“
“If you like heavier beers (heavy, sweet, dessert-like), Epic has some of the best. Some of my favorite include the Brewer Master's Keep, Naked Baptist, Big Bad Baptist, Son of a Baptist. The sours are great as well, if you like something lighter and tart. I was not as much of a fan for the flavored beers, but to each their own. Staff is really friendly.“
“I just dropped in for a brew before heading to a show across the street. The place was hopping, super crowded and on a wait, bug the door guy was very friendly and got me a seat at the bAR in just a few minutes. No big deal. The beer was pretty pricey but atmosphere was great. The food I saw on the table looked pretty choice.I'll have to give it a try my next time out “
“This place is suuuuper loud and you have to yell at each other to talk. All the arcade games are old and the music is also very loud... the place is very crowded. Vending machines are available and there's a random photo booth as well.“
“Really crowded and the food comes out a bit late. The place is very loud and you basically have to shout to each other in order to hear each other - if you go behind the order line, there are tables outside and it's more quiet and more chill. The food is alright. There's a mini fireplace and a mini movie theater themed seats. They have 3 different types of sauce for fries.Parking: It gets crowded at night and finding parking nearby is nearly impossible. You have to park a bit further and walk 10 min ish.“
“Nice spot to meet up with people, they have some larger tables as well as cute 2-people spots. The service is friendly and there's water easily accessible close to the bathrooms. I personally like the vibe of other places a bit more but it's not a bad spot! I believe there is parking around the back, my group and I weren't sure at first so we parked elsewhere and walked 2 blocks to get here.“
“Love this spot. Apps in particular are always good. Cocktails are delicious. Beer selection on point. However, the way they serve beer is disappointing, especially considering the care they clearly put into selecting imports and interesting beers to serve. Belgians, IPAs, Saison, etc are served in a Boston shaker pint glass. For such an elevated atmosphere and dining experience, I would expect them to use proper glassware to serve their brews.“
“This is a diamond in the rough! Nice, calm and low key. The staff is great and the prices are better! Nice seating area, pool table and some games. This is must at if you are in the area. Definitely make you feel welcome! Don't miss out!“
“Had a great time stopping in for a quick couple of beers. Topher, the bartender was awesome. Knowledgeable, conversational, and totally down to earth. I'm from out of town and had not had a great experience with Utah breweries and bars. He changed that. Had two bad a** double IPA's (I generally am not a fan) and he called them perfectly. Great time. Reasonable as well.“
“We came today for our wife's birthday and it was amazing. We came on a Friday early afternoon when things are not to busy. The bays are clean, the games are fun and the food was absolutely amazing. The gluten free pizza was the best I've ever had!! Will definitely be back and plan to bring friends next time!“
