If you are looking for a place to support your local bands this is it. Art all over the walls, a pool table and some pin ball machines for entertainment aside from the rad live music obviously ;) this place has personality and is definitely THE heavy metal bar of Salt Lake City. I flew in to "Slit Lick City" (thanks mighty Athenar") to attend a new years eve show at the saloon. I had one of the best times ever. The sound was excellent and the place in general is metal AF. The place was Sold out and the bar was crowded but I didn't wait too long the bar staff was doing a good job considering all the people. They have cheap PBR and shots. Can't believe I slept on this place for three years. Amazing food (vegan and omni, Alec made sure we were happy), solid drinks, great staff, friendly regulars... Everything I want in a local haunt. And everything I've been looking for in a "metal bar" (they have a Neurosis Times of Grace flag hanging from the ceiling, ffs).
