“Relaxed fast-casual Mediterranean fare that includes bowls, doner wraps, loaded fries, Greek salads and other delicious choices. Choose from a limited selection of beers on tap or try one of the sangrias. Plenty of seating inside and out, though the restaurant can get noisy when busy. We're regulars and have always had fantastic food and service.“

“Awesome food and great service! Warning: you might be stuffed.
Pub Burger is a great price on happy hour - definitely top notch bang for your burger buck. Togarashi Chicken is also an excellent plate - well rounded spices on a perfectly cooked half chicken, and the gnocchi it sits on is delicious. Mac n cheese is really tasty as well.
I'm dinging one point specifically for the Marrow appetizer - it's way too mustardy and overpowered all the other more delicate flavors, and the bread was dry. If that recipe gets reworked to ditch the mustard and throw some lightly seasoned butter or oil on the bread, it would be much better.
We'll come back to try other things!“

“Waitress was good, my corned beef and saurkraut burger wasn't. My wife said her shepherds pie was good and the fried pickles were different with a mustard sauce. We went so I could get a Monte Cristo, but they don't sell them anymore. Our friends we went with weren't impressed. Not going back.“

“What an awesome, hidden gem! Met up with some new friends at a "chill" lounge/bar and could not have been more impressed. Justin, the bartender, made absolutely fantastic drinks, was super personable, and one of the best people I've ever met when it comes to taking care of customers. Mac, the manager, was her own kind of special. I so enjoyed talking to her while just hanging out at Back Door. She was so sweet! You could tell she genuinely cared about her staff and her customers, which is exactly the kind of place I want to spend my time (and money lol).
Their Pride drink specials were delicious, the food from Laziz was phenomenal- definitely try the falafel!!- and the vibe was everything you could want if you're looking to hang out and talk to friends in a comfy, welcoming environment, but still get to interact and meet new people. If you're in SLC, check it out!!“

“Came here for dinner on a Friday night, and had no trouble getting a table for 2. So glad we gave this place a try because it's different from the typical Chinese food we are used to around the valley. The kebabs were seasoned perfectly and tasted amazing, with a little kick! I highly recommend the beef, pork belly, and eggplant kebabs. Very fairly priced, service was great, and the decor is really nice!“

“wow! what an interesting little delight this establishment is. After showing a very handsome cowboy my ID, i noticed there were some medium looking men playing some sort of musical instruments in the area. Very loud! They were playing in a mew style which no one was enjoying so I took the liberty of telling these fellas to play a song we can all enjoy such as The Star Spangled Banner (an American classic) or my favorite song of late - Ed Sheeran shape of you! Ed Sheehan is a new artist that is making waves, I first heard this wonderful song when I was stealing buttons from the shirts at savers on 72nd (will be writing a review for that later) and I just wagged my finger to this novel sound! I plan on stopping by the library on the way back to my apartment in Tooele and hopefully they'll have some light reading so I can learn more about the talented Ed Sheeran. I normally like to keep my private life away from ny reviews but I went ahead and wrote my phone number in the men's room at this place so please feel free to reach out for a serious conversation between adults about the arts!
I didn't get a chance to order any food, so I won't comment on it very much but some nice, very beautiful people left some uneaten food which I of course helped myself to a bite of once they had stood up from their chairs. I did make sure they could see me - I believe in the honor system and I don't like to pull fast ones on people. I'm really honest to a fault. I also really enjoyed that the chairs were still warm from those people standing up so recently!“

“The staff is always so friendly and knowledgeable and the food is outstanding (my staples are cerdo and patatas bravas). I love the selection of wine and the fact that it’s always rotating depending on the season. This is a goto spot for wining and dining with the gals, or pregaming a concert/show, and the big glass windows make for some great people watching. One of my faves!!“
“Absolutely sensational experience at this new cabaret spot! The ambiance is sleek and modern, setting the perfect stage for the incredibly talented dancers and entertainers. Not only are the performances top-notch, but the drinks are also fantastic, adding to the overall fun vibe. The dancers are not only stunning but also incredibly social and friendly, making the entire night feel like a party with friends. Definitely a must-visit venue where everyone tips for the exceptional service and entertainment!“

“I have loved this bar since the first time I set foot in it.
Literally, I love that nostalgic retro air that assails me every time I return (fans of the TV show "Cheers" will certainly agree with me since, once you open the beautiful solid wood door, a staircase that turns downwards welcomes you in all its beauty, because the walls, full of memorabilia and richly decorated, immediately give you the idea that you are entering the right place).
Lovers (like me) of Johnny Cash will be pleasantly surprised by the way in which his immense figure is honored in this bar (but I don't want to spoil too much and I want to leave the pleasure of discovering how it is new, potential, customers). Immediately after the staircase, a more than friendly (and fair) age check takes place and if you have forgotten your ID, kindly but firmly you will be asked to leave the place and possibly return with your document: rating? Excellent, of course.
Once inside you will discover that there are two rooms: one, very large, with a classic counter and stools, many tables, spaces with games on the theme of "bar", a corner with sofas, a stage for evenings with live music and/or karaoke, numerous televisions for lovers of all sports and, why not, also for lovers of cinema or TV shows; the other room, divided by a very small hallway from the main one, is entirely dedicated to games such as billiards, ping pong, darts and more (including the possibility of requesting classic board games).
The choice of beers (on tap, in bottles and in cans) is so wide and sophisticated that you will hardly be disappointed, as well as the list of spirits and cocktails that will not make you regret being there.
Personally, over the years I have been able to try practically everything on the menu and I can assure you that everything, absolutely everything, from the sides to the opulent and immense burgers, is more than excellent and plentiful and it is difficult for me to specifically indicate which one I prefer: the Big Sue and the Whiskey Fungus are absolutely worth trying, as far as burgers go, the Sloppy Sue and the BLT, as far as sammiches go, the Philly Steak Salad and the Buffalo Salad, as far as salads go, the Ms. Sue’s Mac’n’Cheese and the Cast Iron Chili (with the Half and Half option, where you have the opportunity to enjoy them together) are simply delicious and even the brunch dishes are absolutely worth trying, Sue’s Breakfast and the Rise n’ Shine Burger at the top of my preferences.
Everything is absolutely home made (sauces included) and, as I mentioned before, the portions are much more than plentiful.
The staff, from the host to the bartenders and waitresses are perfectly professional, kind, friendly, discreetly attentive to your needs and more than adequate to the style of the bar.
A treat for lovers of the genre, cigarette vending machines.
The bathrooms, always clean and functional, are worth a visit if only for their more than spot on and picturesque way of being furnished and intelligently placed at the back of the place with a long corridor to access them that does not let any, possible but never present, bad smell reach the room.
Last, but not least, a very pleasant surprise is given by the security personnel: discreet and prepared staff always monitor the safety of customers, actively, intervening promptly if necessary, and passively, in the event that a customer is unable to return safely to their home, kindly but firmly inhibiting the use of their vehicle and calling an Uber/Lift, judiciously and sensibly preventing, 100%, any type of accident that may involve the customer and/or anyone on their return path: simply admirable.
So, I have no trouble indicating the Bar Named Sue as a milestone in the local hospitality business that cannot be missed at least once and I guarantee it will not be the last, indeed... as far as I'm concerned it is and will always remain at the top of my top ten of American Bars that I usually f“

“The view was spectacular!! We went on an extremely hot day so we chose a table inside, but we did walk outside for photos on the roof. Amazing views from all sides. This is definitely worth stopping by - at least for drinks! The food was great as well. We loved our server, and all the staff was very nice. This is a must stop for great views of the city!“
“What a fun lively atmosphere! The place was packed with so many people having a great time but yet service was fast and easy to get. But the best part were the well crafted cocktails from Ernest behind the bar. His curated drinks kept us there for a few hours while we chatted. When you go, find him and you won’t be disappointed in what he can mix up for you. The spectrum of flavors was incredible!“

“Great food, great staff! Just about all you need, to be a great watering hole. But the Barbary Coast doesn't stop there. This is also a great place to check out some great bands. “Dewar was an ideal server. He was genuine, helpful, knowledgeable about the menu, had a good memory, paid attention to our table and made some good conversation he made for a good evening. That in addition to the food and drinks makes for 5 stars. Next time I visit SLC I’ll be asking for him.“

“Easily the best cocktail bar in the greater Salt Lake Valley, maybe even the wasatch front. Go for Tropical Saturdays and drift away into an equatorial paradise that will leave you looking for your lost shaker of salt. Jimmy Buffet was once quoted as saying “water witch was the inspiration for every single matgaritaville I’ve ever opened” well Jimmy, you’re absolutely right. The real friends were the Margys we had along the way.

“I ordered the steak tartare, pickled veggies, taro scotch egg, and kampachi crudo. I think my very favorite was the taro scotch egg, I mean.. it's taro and it's a scotch egg! The chili oil that accompanied it paired well. It was flavorful, but not really spicy. Didn't care for the pickled veggies and the crudo, both were kinda just.. sour. I did enjoy the tartare, but the flat bread that came with it was really sticky. After every bite, I'd have to scrape the stuff off with my tongue, lol. The flavor was good, but it was really hard to get off of my teeth. Luckily, I carry floss with me.
The server was great! Orders came out pretty quickly, he was knowledgeable, and was super attentive!“

“Very fun 1930s vibe with old black and white movies playing on TV, huge bar, simple tables and a very vintage feel.
The food is comforting and has an almost Southern vibe.
It is a bar so 21 and older and they scan your driver's license.
I went with colleagues. We shared a salad, which was amazing with peach slices and fried cheese. We also shared the potatoes which were so crispy and delicious. The crab biscuits were light and yummy but little crab. We also split an 8 oz steak which was tender and delicious. Everything was yummy and they staggered bringing it out.
I don't drink but I got ice water in a frozen glass that was the most refreshing water I've ever had.
It was a delightful evening. The staff were kind and helpful.“

“Salt Lake's most unique dining experience by far! If you are looking for an exclusive, chef driven 9 course dinner then Chef Vishal has you covered. Each course is a fresh take on classic, traditional South Indian food specifically from the Goa region. Each course wows your senses with lots of wonderful color, presentation and of course flavors. Highly recommended if you're looking for something new!“

“My wife and I love going there to bowl, get a few drinks amd eat the amazing tater tots. I don't know what they do to them, but they are so good. We always go to the bar side, and always request Raven. One time we didn't and got someone else, and it wasn't the same. Raven is amazing and she is always attentive to our needs. She just doesn't grab your order and bring stuff. We have fun conversations with her, and just has a great personality. The bowling is great, but I can't say much about throwing balls into wood. Unfortunately my wife is having surgery this week, so it will be a minute till we can come back. But we can't wait to make it part of our weekend routine again.“

“My husband and I enjoy going here for a night cap every now and again. My favorite drinking is the fruity and sweet pistol packin’ mama with a sidecar of cherries. The space has been refurbished and accommodates more people than the old space. It does fill up, so it’s best to go early or M-Th. The food is good but there aren’t many options. If you want a full meal make a reservation at Bambara.“

“2.5 stars The beer selection is amazing. The food is wonderful…however!, it will take more time than you’d think for service and food. We’ve given this place 4 tries, and while sitting at the bar is amazing for drinks, the table service and food is super slow so just set those expectations appropriately. This is a consistent experience, every time, which is a bummer with the service and food because the food is great! But even if you’re sitting at the bar, food service is *extremely* slow (40 minutes for an order of wings). It’s so unfortunate because otherwise, this place is a gem.“

“This place really surprised me. It looks very unassuming but then they served up both an incredible burger and an amazing pizza. It’s not easy to have both of those on the menu and do them both well.
All four of us agreed that the summer pie was delicious and unique. The burger was perfectly cooked (medium) and had great garlic and jalapeno flavor and the tots were house made. What more could you ask for?
Our server was awesome too. Helped us navigate the menu and even changed up our order a bit to help us save some cash.“
“Came on the promise of good karaoke and good location. It's definitely a dive bar, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. Drinks were pretty good for the price. The seating is really limited inside and out on a busy Saturday night, pool tables take up much of the indoor real estate. There seemed to be a lot of regulars there for karaoke, which made it hard to break into the rotation. But all in all it was a pleasant experience. I'd go again and get there earlier for karaoke.“
