“Found this place for last minute business dinner. Unique cocktails, amazing small plates. Brussels and Truffle fries didn’t disappoint. Entrees were fresh and well composed. My only knock was our server that wasn’t that personable and didn’t provide any recommendations.“

“The Brickyard Bar: A Dive into Delicious Chaos
When you step into The Brickyard Bar, prepare to leave your calorie counter at the door and embrace unapologetic indulgence. This Utah gem doesn't just serve food; it serves a vibe, a reminder that dining out is meant to be fun, casual, and just a little messy.
Appetizer Parade: The chips and salsa arrived first—a classic combo that felt like shaking hands with an old friend. Crisp, golden chips met a tangy salsa that leaned more "hello, I'm here to party" than "I'm your everyday mild." It set the tone for what was to come: jalapeño poppers. These little fried nuggets of joy were crunchy, cheesy, and perfectly paired with a side of creamy ranch dressing. Pro tip: they may look innocent, but they pack a kick, so proceed with caution—or courage.
The Main Event: The pizza was the final act, and boy, did it deliver. A slice topped with olives, mushrooms, onions, and various meats walked the line between gourmet and comfort food. It was the kind of pizza that didn’t try too hard yet succeeded in being utterly satisfying. Each bite was a medley of smoky bacon, savory pepperoni, and that hint of black olive tang. Forget about symmetry or dainty toppings—this slice was bold and proud.
Atmosphere: The Brickyard Bar feels like that effortlessly cool friend who knows the best dive spots and never takes life too seriously. With its laid-back vibe and a menu that screams “go big or go home,” it’s perfect for casual gatherings, game nights, or just a break from your daily grind.
Final Thoughts: The Brickyard Bar isn’t trying to be your five-star white-tablecloth establishment, and that’s its charm. It’s the place where you can kick back, enjoy great company, and devour comfort food that doesn’t apologize for being deliciously over the top. Whether you're here for the salsa, the poppers, or a pizza that makes no promises of leftovers, one thing's certain—you'll leave with a full stomach and a happy heart.

“Authentic Chinese skewers! Great place for parties and friends' reunion. They have a karaoke room which we occupied for my birthday party. We had awesome drinks (alcohol or non-alcohol), had a great feast, and really had fun singing karaoke. The service is super attentive, meeting all of our customized needs, big shootouts to Amanda, our waitress!“

“Waitress was good, my corned beef and saurkraut burger wasn't. My wife said her shepherds pie was good and the fried pickles were different with a mustard sauce. We went so I could get a Monte Cristo, but they don't sell them anymore. Our friends we went with weren't impressed. Not going back.“

“I have been regularly dining at Finca Pintxos Bar before my shows at Eccles and am always happy with the yummy food and excellent service. Love the dates, meatballs, salad, and desserts!! I try to sit at the bar so I can watch them cook and visit. The staff are always so friendly and helpful. I especially like visiting with Pete; he is talkative, helpful with the menu, and a great chef! Go check out Pintxos is you get a chance!!“

“wow! what an interesting little delight this establishment is. After showing a very handsome cowboy my ID, i noticed there were some medium looking men playing some sort of musical instruments in the area. Very loud! They were playing in a mew style which no one was enjoying so I took the liberty of telling these fellas to play a song we can all enjoy such as The Star Spangled Banner (an American classic) or my favorite song of late - Ed Sheeran shape of you! Ed Sheehan is a new artist that is making waves, I first heard this wonderful song when I was stealing buttons from the shirts at savers on 72nd (will be writing a review for that later) and I just wagged my finger to this novel sound! I plan on stopping by the library on the way back to my apartment in Tooele and hopefully they'll have some light reading so I can learn more about the talented Ed Sheeran. I normally like to keep my private life away from ny reviews but I went ahead and wrote my phone number in the men's room at this place so please feel free to reach out for a serious conversation between adults about the arts!
I didn't get a chance to order any food, so I won't comment on it very much but some nice, very beautiful people left some uneaten food which I of course helped myself to a bite of once they had stood up from their chairs. I did make sure they could see me - I believe in the honor system and I don't like to pull fast ones on people. I'm really honest to a fault. I also really enjoyed that the chairs were still warm from those people standing up so recently!“

“I stayed at Le Méridien hotel and visited their rooftop bar—Van Ryder. it was an incredible experience! The views are outstanding, offering a relaxing atmosphere. We came just to grab some drinks, and everything was perfectly mixed. I had an Old Fashioned, and it tasted great.
Definitely a spot to visit for a chill time with great views! Will come back next time I’m in town.“

“I have loved this bar since the first time I set foot in it.
Literally, I love that nostalgic retro air that assails me every time I return (fans of the TV show "Cheers" will certainly agree with me since, once you open the beautiful solid wood door, a staircase that turns downwards welcomes you in all its beauty, because the walls, full of memorabilia and richly decorated, immediately give you the idea that you are entering the right place).
Lovers (like me) of Johnny Cash will be pleasantly surprised by the way in which his immense figure is honored in this bar (but I don't want to spoil too much and I want to leave the pleasure of discovering how it is new, potential, customers). Immediately after the staircase, a more than friendly (and fair) age check takes place and if you have forgotten your ID, kindly but firmly you will be asked to leave the place and possibly return with your document: rating? Excellent, of course.
Once inside you will discover that there are two rooms: one, very large, with a classic counter and stools, many tables, spaces with games on the theme of "bar", a corner with sofas, a stage for evenings with live music and/or karaoke, numerous televisions for lovers of all sports and, why not, also for lovers of cinema or TV shows; the other room, divided by a very small hallway from the main one, is entirely dedicated to games such as billiards, ping pong, darts and more (including the possibility of requesting classic board games).
The choice of beers (on tap, in bottles and in cans) is so wide and sophisticated that you will hardly be disappointed, as well as the list of spirits and cocktails that will not make you regret being there.
Personally, over the years I have been able to try practically everything on the menu and I can assure you that everything, absolutely everything, from the sides to the opulent and immense burgers, is more than excellent and plentiful and it is difficult for me to specifically indicate which one I prefer: the Big Sue and the Whiskey Fungus are absolutely worth trying, as far as burgers go, the Sloppy Sue and the BLT, as far as sammiches go, the Philly Steak Salad and the Buffalo Salad, as far as salads go, the Ms. Sue’s Mac’n’Cheese and the Cast Iron Chili (with the Half and Half option, where you have the opportunity to enjoy them together) are simply delicious and even the brunch dishes are absolutely worth trying, Sue’s Breakfast and the Rise n’ Shine Burger at the top of my preferences.
Everything is absolutely home made (sauces included) and, as I mentioned before, the portions are much more than plentiful.
The staff, from the host to the bartenders and waitresses are perfectly professional, kind, friendly, discreetly attentive to your needs and more than adequate to the style of the bar.
A treat for lovers of the genre, cigarette vending machines.
The bathrooms, always clean and functional, are worth a visit if only for their more than spot on and picturesque way of being furnished and intelligently placed at the back of the place with a long corridor to access them that does not let any, possible but never present, bad smell reach the room.
Last, but not least, a very pleasant surprise is given by the security personnel: discreet and prepared staff always monitor the safety of customers, actively, intervening promptly if necessary, and passively, in the event that a customer is unable to return safely to their home, kindly but firmly inhibiting the use of their vehicle and calling an Uber/Lift, judiciously and sensibly preventing, 100%, any type of accident that may involve the customer and/or anyone on their return path: simply admirable.
So, I have no trouble indicating the Bar Named Sue as a milestone in the local hospitality business that cannot be missed at least once and I guarantee it will not be the last, indeed... as far as I'm concerned it is and will always remain at the top of my top ten of American Bars that I usually f“

“A funky little bar tucked away on Edison St. with a relaxed, cozy, intimate atmosphere. A great place to chill with some friends or someone special. “Relaxed fast-casual Mediterranean fare that includes bowls, doner wraps, loaded fries, Greek salads and other delicious choices. Choose from a limited selection of beers on tap or try one of the sangrias. Plenty of seating inside and out, though the restaurant can get noisy when busy. “Oh what delicious "Zucchini Linguine" ! Simple preparation with buttery deliciousness!
Loved the flavor and spiciness of the "chermoula spiced cauliflower"!
Pretty decent "bruschetta" but I wish it had a bigger portion size
"Artichoke dip" was my least favorite item with way too much cheese and not that much flavor.
Quick and friendly service, decent seating.
Overall a nice food experience!“

“Amazing atmosphere and theming, fabulous drinks, and they did a fabulous job accommodating my many food allergies. We'll definitely be back!

“This was easily the best food and ambiance we had during our trip to Salt Lake City !! Everything we ordered was phenomenal: wagyu skewers, potato flautas, charcuterie board, crispy shrimp tacos, and the stuffed poblano pepper!! Our drinks were also incredible- HIGHLY recommend the Thesmophoria (it's like a hug in a glass). Also, they had live entertainment- a singer named Morgan who was INCREDIBLE. It really made our night. One of the best dining experiences we've had anywhere in a long time! Thank you, and if we're ever back in SLC- we'll be back!“

“Copper common is beautiful inside and has a decent patio.
Their burgers and smash potatoes are so, so good! I also really love the bread appetizer.
I had the lady eve cocktail and it was one of the best cocktails I've had in salt lake city!
Service is typically great but we had an instance where a wait staff member neglected our table after we got food to the point where we had to check out with the hostess after waiting 20-30 minutes for the wait staff member to return.
All in all copper common is a gem in SLC!“

“Great food, great staff! Just about all you need, to be a great watering hole. But the Barbary Coast doesn't stop there. This is also a great place to check out some great bands. It's an awesome place to stop for lunch during the week, dinner and dancing on the weekends, and if you're an early riser on weekends they have great breakfasts.“

“Easily the best cocktail bar in the greater Salt Lake Valley, maybe even the wasatch front. Go for Tropical Saturdays and drift away into an equatorial paradise that will leave you looking for your lost shaker of salt. Jimmy Buffet was once quoted as saying “water witch was the inspiration for every single matgaritaville I’ve ever opened” well Jimmy, you’re absolutely right. The real friends were the Margys we had along the way.

“2.5 stars The beer selection is amazing. The food is wonderful…however!, it will take more time than you’d think for service and food. We’ve given this place 4 tries, and while sitting at the bar is amazing for drinks, the table service and food is super slow so just set those expectations appropriately. This is a consistent experience, every time, which is a bummer with the service and food because the food is great! But even if you’re sitting at the bar, food service is *extremely* slow (40 minutes for an order of wings). It’s so unfortunate because otherwise, this place is a gem.“
“I wanted a drink in my neighborhood and went to piper down Also the handlebar and was turned away at12:30 PM. “I ordered the steak tartare, pickled veggies, taro scotch egg, and kampachi crudo. I think my very favorite was the taro scotch egg, I mean.. it's taro and it's a scotch egg! The chili oil that accompanied it paired well. It was flavorful, but not really spicy. Didn't care for the pickled veggies and the crudo, both were kinda just.. sour. I did enjoy the tartare, but the flat bread that came with it was really sticky. After every bite, I'd have to scrape the stuff off with my tongue, lol. The flavor was good, but it was really hard to get off of my teeth. Luckily, I carry floss with me.
The server was great! Orders came out pretty quickly, he was knowledgeable, and was super attentive!“

“What a fun lively atmosphere! The place was packed with so many people having a great time but yet service was fast and easy to get. But the best part were the well crafted cocktails from Ernest behind the bar. His curated drinks kept us there for a few hours while we chatted. When you go, find him and you won’t be disappointed in what he can mix up for you. The spectrum of flavors was incredible!“

“My wife and I love going there to bowl, get a few drinks amd eat the amazing tater tots. I don't know what they do to them, but they are so good. We always go to the bar side, and always request Raven. One time we didn't and got someone else, and it wasn't the same. Raven is amazing and she is always attentive to our needs. She just doesn't grab your order and bring stuff. We have fun conversations with her, and just has a great personality. The bowling is great, but I can't say much about throwing balls into wood. Unfortunately my wife is having surgery this week, so it will be a minute till we can come back. But we can't wait to make it part of our weekend routine again.“

“This place really surprised me. It looks very unassuming but then they served up both an incredible burger and an amazing pizza. It’s not easy to have both of those on the menu and do them both well.
All four of us agreed that the summer pie was delicious and unique. The burger was perfectly cooked (medium) and had great garlic and jalapeno flavor and the tots were house made. What more could you ask for?
Our server was awesome too. Helped us navigate the menu and even changed up our order a bit to help us save some cash.“
