We enjoyed a delicious dinner at Ivy & Varley with friends. I have some food allergies and the server was very knowledgeable AND took the time to verify with the chef that I could eat the salmon. The chef substituted mashed potatoes for orzo (to accommodate my allergies) and served a beautiful plate! I was very impressed with the food and would love to eat here again! Place was super loud. Could barely hear my date talking. We got the mussels for the appetizer which was really good. However the main dishes were a bit disappointing. I got the salmon and orzo. Salmon was under seasoned and tasted very bland . My date got the shrimp and grits . Which was very heavy and a bit too salty. Food is great! I travel to Salt Lake City quite a bit for work and when I'm in town, I always eat here! Service is good. Nice ambiance and atmosphere for a good dinner and drinks with friends or family.
