Benihana Reviews
Dirty, crowded, tight spaces, bad food
Perhaps it was the gum chewing condensing hostess who looked and sounded like one of the "mean girls" never smiled. Needless to say, our server was not better. Benihana offers a lively dining experience with a focus on hibachi-style cooking. The restaurant features multiple hibachi tables where food is cooked in front of guests, creating an entertaining atmosphere. Guests often enjoy the delicious food prepared by skilled chefs, with many praising the quality and flavor of dishes like the famous hibachi meals. The chef's techniques can mesmerize diners, especially during special occasions or celebrations, making it a fun spot for families and couples alike.
However, the restaurant has some drawbacks. The space is quite compact and crowded, which can make the environment loud and difficult to have conversations. The smoke from the grills tends to fill the room, causing it to become very smoky and sometimes suffocating. This smoke can also cling to clothes, requiring washing afterward. Service quality varies, with some guests noting that staff can be busy and occasionally forget items or make mistakes with drinks, though others mention attentive and gracious waitresses. Overall, while the food is good and the experience fun for celebrations, the atmosphere and ventilation issues may detract from the overall comfort.
