“I don't write a lot of restaurant reviews, but Sol Agave in Salt Lake City absolutely earned this one. Went in kind of skeptical. Lately, so many "posh Mexican" places charge way too much and give you way too little. Like, thirty bucks for two average tacos. But Sol Agave was the total opposite. We had reservations for five, got seated right away, and even though the place was busy, the service was excellent. Friendly, attentive, never rushed. The food was delicious, nice variety, fresh and well done. And the vibe is beautiful, but not pretentious. Best of all, the price...we had a full table feast for five people and got out under $150 bucksl. I just wasn't expecting that (I was preparing to see a $250 tab.). Unlike some of the trendy overpriced spots, this one delivers where it counts: amazing -and fancy- Mexican food, solid service, fair prices in the middle of the city.“

“Grand opening specials and delicious food keep us coming back twice in a week now. It is located next to a local Target, so they have a great position to succeed with the flow of traffic and a large parking lot. I hope these specials remain the same or similar, the food economy needs places like this! Food should be affordable and tasty. You guys do both, excellent job.“

“👍👍👍👍👍Had a terrific lunch here on Monday (6/23/25). Staff were all friendly and accommodating. Food was great. Not your regular Mexican dishes, more like Mexican with a unique twist! I had the Quesabirria (kind of like a quesadilla)and Ashly had the Birria Stew. We each chose lamb for the meat. These were made well, delicious and beautifully presented. Using lamb and the Birria style gave everything a unique, delightful flavor! It was a perfect afternoon for eating outside, too.“

Everyone who works here is friendly, attentive, and helps make the experience enjoyable. The servers are always attentive, and the rest of the staff also works hard to keep everything clean, organized, and comfortable. The atmosphere is peaceful and welcoming. “While on my visit to Salt Lake City during the holidays, My friends and I discovered this awesome Mexican restaurant! The experience was like being at a family gathering enjoying home made food! The atmosphere is very casual, the service attentive and the food top notch. The prices are very reasonable given the high quality of the food! We enjoyed the tacos. Quesadillas and Chili Rellenos! We left full and very satisfied with the experience at this mom and pop Mexican restaurant! I would highly recommend this place if you are a local or just visiting!“

“Came here with friends. Food was delicious we got the Baja fish tacos and camarones mango habernero. We also got shots which I didn’t take a photo of but a video I can’t share. The presentation was so fun called spacy tamarindo. Jordin was our server - so funny and attentive. We were there for the Argentina VS Switzerland World Cup game and it was fun joking with the whole staff. We will be back“

“Not only did I get my delicious tamales to celebrate Christmas, but in my haste and distraction I left my wallet on the counter and the employees kept it for me. An hour later, when I was about to pay at this other place I realized I did not have my wallet. I called Victor’s Restaurant and they had it. My wallet was intact, and nothing was taken from it. “Best Mexican food in town! I've heard this neighborhood can be dicey but it was perfectly safe and the mole is out of this world!!! The food is authentic, fresh, and amazingly flavorful. The service was very friendly and the food came very quickly and at the proper temperature. The soup is also wonderful. This hole-in-the wall is a real find! My husband and I will return often.“
