“Best carnitas in the whole valley. My family and I have been coming here for years. The tortillas are homemade, and there’s a senora who works there and she’s so nice. Make sure you ask for nopales, they are extra and so are the tortillas but we don’t mind for the quality.“

“Pretty good but for some reason if you add hot sauce packets to your online order not only are the 5 cents a packet but for some reason they never remember the sauce. Happened twice this week. Bring da sauce man. Pretty bomb otherwise and appreciate the puppy snacks“

“So I went in over the weekend and they had a Enchirito for a limited time. It was amazing, brought back so many memories from 20 years ago. Well it turns out when I returned I waited to long and it was gone. So asked the staff if they could make 3 for my family and Veronica along with lovely staff especially the one with braces were more than happy to honor my request. This menu item really needs to return for good. It’s simple and very yummy. Thank you everyone for reaffirming why I enjoy certain locations.“

“I ate at Casa Linda while visiting SLC, I had been told by two people that the food was really good, and they were right! I ordered the chile relleno and it was just right, the rice was perfect (at some restaurants it’s dry). The service was prompt, the staff were all very friendly. I’d like to go back before I leave and try something else! My Spanish isn’t what it used to be but here goes—muy rica la comida!“

“The food is always good and fresh! I went to the drive thru and ordered 2 meals- when I got to the window I realized that I left my purse at home. I had cash in my pocket but I was $2 short so I asked them to take off 1 meal and they did and charged me for just the 1 meal. Then when Scottie handed me my bag there were 2 meals in the bag! She said have a good night! I was in tears because that was such a nice thing to do!!! I love Costa Vida!“

“Grand opening specials and delicious food keep us coming back twice in a week now. It is located next to a local Target, so they have a great position to succeed with the flow of traffic and a large parking lot. I hope these specials remain the same or similar, the food economy needs places like this! Food should be affordable and tasty. You guys do both, excellent job.“

“👍👍👍👍👍Had a terrific lunch here on Monday (6/23/25). Staff were all friendly and accommodating. Food was great. Not your regular Mexican dishes, more like Mexican with a unique twist! I had the Quesabirria (kind of like a quesadilla)and Ashly had the Birria Stew. We each chose lamb for the meat. These were made well, delicious and beautifully presented. Using lamb and the Birria style gave everything a unique, delightful flavor! It was a perfect afternoon for eating outside, too.“

“While on my visit to Salt Lake City during the holidays, My friends and I discovered this awesome Mexican restaurant! The experience was like being at a family gathering enjoying home made food! The atmosphere is very casual, the service attentive and the food top notch. The prices are very reasonable given the high quality of the food! We enjoyed the tacos. Quesadillas and Chili Rellenos! We left full and very satisfied with the experience at this mom and pop Mexican restaurant! I would highly recommend this place if you are a local or just visiting!“

“I love this place. Warm salsa is amazing! Super friendly and the food is great. I have super picky Mexican food eating friends and they loved this place too. Mariachi band on Tuesdays can be fun and remember it’s ok to say no to them if you’re not in the mood. The food does take some time, but the quality is worth it!!“

“Came here with friends. Food was delicious we got the Baja fish tacos and camarones mango habernero. We also got shots which I didn’t take a photo of but a video I can’t share. The presentation was so fun called spacy tamarindo. Jordin was our server - so funny and attentive. We were there for the Argentina VS Switzerland World Cup game and it was fun joking with the whole staff. We will be back“

“Ive been coming here since I was a kid and El Habanero has always consistently had great service and incredible food, AND for a really good price dispite everything happening with the economy. Im always recomending this place to freinds and loved ones. If you're looking for good mexican food this is THE place. Ive moved away now and find myself missing this place daily! These guys have done awesome for the 20 years ive been around and I hope they're around another 20 more. :)“

“This place is amazing! The food is super affordable and very filling. Not the filling of eating too much. It perfectly fills you up and makes you satisfied. I’d strongly recommend trying them out! Make sure to add potatoes to it. The spicy mayo is the perfect finishing touch.“
