For a $100, we got two brunch entrees that were cold and two drinks. The waitress never checked back after we received our food, and the manager only apologized and wanted to buy us another drink for our cold food. Go somewhere else- Salt Lake has many other dining options.

Our group of four was unimpressed with our dining experience at Bombara. After reviewing the menu, we all looked at each other and had to try again to find anything that we even wanted to order. We each settled on an item. Only a couple of the appetizers/small plates appeared to be sharable with a group. We settled on the chips with blue cheese sauce and the milk bread. Both of these items were tasty, but it was messy to eat the chips with the cheesy gravy on top with our fingers. The main courses we settled on were fine, but nothing to write home about. I ordered the ribeye. It was well-flavored, but I had to spit out about 50% of the bites due to either high fat or toughness. I also became ill during my after-dinner show, due to the high fat content. (I will own that due to the cut of meat I ordered, but there were no other steaks on the menu). The side of buttered turnips and radish was served mostly raw with little seasoning and it was cold. The waiter offered to sub out some potatoes when I complained, but at that point I just wanted to get on with the meal. The other guest's meals arrived in giant cereal bowls, with all the food on top of each other, a very unattractive plating. No complaints on the taste, but no complements either. For dessert, the waiter raved about the sticky toffee cake. We ordered one serving and were underwhelmed. Four of us didn't finish it. Overall, we experienced nice ambiance, good service and a friendly waiter, but found the food and menu not worth the price or trip downtown.

It has become very expensive to eat here. We have loved it in the past but will be thinking twice.

Food was solid. The butternut bourbon soup was interesting and nicely done, and my friend's octopus was great. This restaurant needs to work on timing; some appetizers were brought out long long before others. It should all be brought out at one time. Service was on the slow side, though our server was certainly kind and friendly. Not sure if I would go back here. They need to iron out some wrinkles for sure.

The Bison was tough and the brussel sprouts were undercooked. Waiter was wonderful Ambiance was good

Delicious dinner, friendly servers & beautifully updated interior. The Caesar salad was amazing, as was the Elk Carpacio.

Bison tartare is a surprising standout, they even made smash burger for my daughter that only exists on the bar menu. The Vault speakeasy attached had the best mixed drink I've ever had, some kind of lovely rosemary, gin, concoction that they lit on fire in front of me. Who do hunk the best drink I ever had was in the middle of Salt Lake City, Utah?

We had a really nice experience there last night. Everything tasted great. However the soup was lukewarm. That was the only negative thing. We had the trout which was very nice. The spiced warm cake for dessert was also wonderful! Would go back again.

Unique, thoughtfully curated menu with excellent service and many fun options. Higher prices, but higher quality as well.

Food was very average, but the service was extremely disappointing. We waited about 30 minutes just for someone to take our drink order, another 30 minutes for our food order, and then around 45 minutes after finishing our meal to get the check. We had to request the check multiple times. Overall, the experience was frustrating and poorly managed.

Unfortunately they missed several opportunities to make this a good experience. There must be a lack of management or training. Please invest more of your time into your business.

We were told there were 6 tables ahead and the wait would be about 1 hour, so we joined the waitlist. After waiting 1 full hour, we were told we were “next.” We then waited another 30 minutes, watching many other parties get seated while we were still outside. When we asked how much longer it would take, the staff said they were “not sure.” We explained we had a flight and asked if we could be seated within the next 30 minutes — we were told it was not possible. If you cannot seat people within 2 hours, do not tell them the wait is 1 hour. We planned our morning around this brunch and still left hungry and stressed because of their poor queue management, we could’ve eat elsewhere if we were told the truth at the beginning. Very disappointing.

It was a very nice experience with lots of attention to detail. A little pricey but very worth it.

Incredibly overpriced. We went to the Nutcracker tea. The reservation was 200 pm. But they acted like we were an imposition. The food was ok. The quantity for 7 people was a joke. 42 $ per person. I would not go again.

Absolutely was a hit again. Our service was top tier and I unfortunately didn't write down our server's name as she was terrific. We had the chicken and caviar as a starter and it was very delicious and a fun experience. For our mains my wife's scallops were perfect and my bison manhattan was amazing. Thanks again for the wonderful experience. We'll be back next year.
