I love that this place makes great cocktails, has a huge selection of whiskey and isn’t over priced. They aren’t pretentious here, they just do it right. Favorite bar in slc.I also reserved the back room for an event here and Julie was so easy to communicate with and very responsive. We had our own bartender, Cam, for the reserved space and he was fantastic! They even let me customize the cocktail menu. It was awesome! I’ve been raving about it to everyone I know and all my friends want to host their next event here also

I really like this place, always have. Been a minute since I've been here and nothing has changed. Lowbrow atmosphere (think Regal Beagle if you're that old). Solid bar with excellent drinks. Convenient food next door at Beer Bar. Recommend a "roulette" of your favorite spirit.

Great little dive spot with some problems. Unclear if there's sometimes table service but we had to walk to the other side in order to place a food order. That being said, the truffle fries are excellent so get a large order ??Parking: Insider tip: Park at the BMO bank across the street.Kid-friendliness: Hey kids aren't allowed. 21+

Stopped here for some drinks with friends before dinner. They were very accommodating the wife was looking for a rum drink and they didn't have what she wanted so he gave her something else and she loved it. I had the hacker pschorr munchner dunkel. It is a munich dark beer that was so good i had three.Parking: A lot of construction in the area, but we lucked out and found parking spot right down the street.

Great little cocktail bar. The ambiance was dark, but combined with the black and white shows on TV, you feel like it is a true speakeasy.Drink were delicious!

STAY AWAY. They are the absolute worst. Terrible service, terrible drinks, outrageous prices… do yourself a favor and walk a couple blocks and go to cheers for cheap drinks and great service.

STAY AWAY from this bar at all cost!! The service is absolutely terrible, ridiculous prices and they make you go to a completely different bar to purchase tickets to get in. Save yourself the walk and price and go to cheers and whiskey street or any other bar in the city, the service and drinks are amazing!! It’s not worth it, I promise you!!

Terrible experience. I just got back from a cross country trip and I am still processing how horrible this place was. They kicked me out after spending and tipping $35 on 2 drinks and then THE SECURITY stole my phone and disposed of it on a random street downtown and I have all the proof. Thanks for giving me back all of my cards in my phone wallet i guess? When I came back there and told them how they tried to give my dog to a random stranger, tried to arrest me, and stole my phone, they told me "I'm sorry you feel that way." FEEL THAT WAY? Like no it literally happened. Well now my foot is broken thanks to the bouncer and this place haunts my memories.

The bouncer literally told us we couldn’t come in bc his boss said we “looked sketchy” as he pointed to me and my Asian friends. But he asked for the ID from My two white friends that RODE AND WALKED UP with me. I asked him if I could speak to the manager and he said no. I asked him if he could check my ID he refused and continuously said “not tonight boys”. He also reeked of alcohol. I found another guy claiming he was the manager and said the manager that said we looked sketch left already. I asked him to reevaluate me and my friends and he said no… we drive 35 minutes and paid for parking just to be denied entry without even getting a reason…

One of my most favorite bars! And the only bar in the whole state that can actually make a vesper martini properly. Staff is amazing and super nice and can make some delicious drinks. It's also extremely gay friendly. I highly recommend this place if you're looking for a fun atmosphere and craft cocktails, perfect for date night! Especially on the nights with live music. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This place has a really cool atmosphere and style. It kind of feels like being on a movie set of a pub with exaggerated lighting. Excellent drinks, good service, and just a great experience all around.

Absolutely fantastic bar! It’s a bit pricier but absolutely worth it, I highly recommend the suburbs dog cocktail and the bartender who made the recipe for it is also incredible.Extremely friendly staff and great cocktails, they can make all the classics though sadly they cannot make a White RussianThere is in fact another bar within bar x called “the back bar” and it’s perfect for introverts on busier nights since it isn’t as busy and is more secluded. They also have outdoor seating and booths. The tab system is simple and you get your card back. It’s also attached to another bar called beer bar they do have a separate tab system though.Food is great they have options for vegans and vegetarians on top of the great hotdogs they have to offer.

I always enjoy reviewing this place. Not sure why Google keeps asking me to review it but let me tell you every time I do it's a pleasure. When they have live music (Tuesday-Wed) it is well curated and I don't have to scream into someone's ear. Also they never charge a cover. Just a classy, relaxing and fun place where I have met SLCs finest. Beer Bar is also great. I like going to Guthrie's after.
