Ordered curly fries at the upstairs restaurant. Was served fries that were cold and stale, alerted the staff they gave me a new batch, which were cold and stale. Asked for a new batch and they bring out an order from the back that were also cold and stale.

I asked for a refund which they said they would do, but it would take 20 mins (manager is at the downstairs) . They said they would handle it so I didn't have to wait. They let me know they get all their fries from the downstairs, so I asked if I could get fresh batch there. They said yes.

I went downstairs, and asked the lady if I ordered fries would they be fresh. She said she would make sure of it. Went to back and brought me back cold stale fries...

I’m in town for a business trip, and this spot at Gateway Shopping Mall was perfect for a relaxing meal during the week. The atmosphere is chill, and I stumbled upon Blaze of Thunder, a spicy chicken sandwich place inside the food court. The food was great! I didn’t go for the level 3 spice, but the “Real Quick” hot flavor was just the right amount of heat for me.
I had the hot chicken tenders with waffles, and the combination was amazing—crispy, flavorful chicken paired with perfectly cooked waffles. The service was quick, and the whole vibe of the place made it a great spot to grab a bite. If you’re into spicy chicken and fun food, this place is worth checking out!

Food is pretty bad.
There are a number of Nashville chicken spots opening and this place is definitely NOT competitive on quality or price
Taste is pretty poor, quantity is small, and it’s expensive in comparison to Dave’s, Houston TX and other..
go to one of those instead of this

I was super excited to try this place because the food looked amazing. Ordered 3 sandwiches with their recommended spice level (one from the most mild) and a chicken and waffle with the lowest spice level.

The sandwiches were close to inedible. I love spicy food, but there must've been a mixup or something. All three of us sandwhich eaters struggled to choke them down. Super hot, like regret it the next day kind of hot. Funny enough, the chicken and waffles had no spice at all even though they were only one spice level lower.

Over $60 worth of food and we all ended up sharing the chicken and waffles bc of how bad the sandwiches were.

The presentation of the food was great and it looks very similar to how it is depicted on the web. However, the chicken sandwich seemed to have too many spices creating a powdery texture, overshadowing the taste of the chicken in every bite. The sandwich also lacks salt, contributing to the lack of taste. There are four spice levels that start with chili power, then cayenne, and then shoots abruptly to habenaro and ghost pepper. I tried the cayenne and it was too mild and the habenaro was way too spicy. Fine tuning the seasoning and balancing the extremes of the spiciness level will elevate the dining experience in an already fun, vibrant atmosphere Hallpass offers.

Food was alright. Paid around 20 dollars after tax and tip for the combo meal. Definitely not worth it taste wise. Additionally I got food poisoning. Will not be going back.

Their chicken is really good, it's just super expensive. It's $11 just for the chicken strips and then I think it was an extra $5 to make it a combo with a side and drink. Their fries are bomb! If you want more than one sauce and/or a different sauce from ranch though, it's going to cost you extra. For the price you're already paying and the big portion of chicken strips and a side of fires, I feel like they shouldn't be stingy with sauce. BTW, if you don't like spicy/hot food the spice levels don't mess around.

Parking: Paid parking garage for Gateway. It's best to park on the Summer/south side.

The service is good and the food hall is a neat place, but this chicken.... OK it's like they took bland chicken, didn't season their batter, semi fried it and then dumped cayenne pepper on top and called it Nashville hot chicken. I couldn't even eat it, it tasted so bad. There are like 6 restaurants, try a different one.

This is one of the food options in the food court. The spice levels were good but they could probably add more flavor. I was drawn to this because of the wall painting that is there close to the restroom.

Good place and good food! but Today I went to buy something and the guy who is always there doesn't even attend or help, apart from the fact that today I bought some cajun fries and i get a half!!? The last time I bought the cajun fries they gave me the full portion,he told me that he wasn't going to do anything, that's how it came.

Great spot. Like a mall food court but with much better decor and atmosphere. Went here with a large family group, 6 adults and 5 kids ages 4 to 13. With a nice variety of food choices, we were able to find something for everyone and the food was good. There were lots of nonalcoholic beverage options. I tried a red cream soda that was delicious. This was a great place to meet up and hang out. Good music, but not too loud for conversation. Great option for casual dining with kids.
