A truly unique and great experience. Must try in Salt Lake City. The service was great and our waiter had great recommendations for both wine flights and food. The ambience is a truly unique, speakeasy-type spot, perfect for an extended dinner date.
Outstanding wine list, not surprisingly. Particularly nice are the flights, which allow you to try multiple more expensive wines to see if you like them. Many wines also by the glass 2 oz or 5 oz pour. BTG shares a kitchen with Caffe Molise, so the Italian themed food is excellent.
Amazing. Highly recommend. We are from New Orleans and enjoy great food and wine. This is the best little secret in town. We will be back!
Wow. Great wine selection and wine flights. We had the Dark & Spicy flight and then chose a few other 2 oz tastes before settling on a couple of choice selections. We also split a lasagne meal from Caffè Molise that was excellent!

The employees were very kind and attentive. The food was delicious and the wine tasted great! I loved the ambience. It was relaxed and beautiful.
Decent choice for restaurant. Let’s start with the food. I got the wagyu burger. It was pretty dry. The fries were good, if a bit too salty. I went with a large group so this could’ve been part of the problem, but of the 6 or so people that ordered the burger in my group, all of them were served cold. I feel like if i’m paying around $30 for a hamburger after tax and tip, it should at least be hot.
I think the food is overpriced for what it is, but you’re also paying for the experience.
Service was AMAZING! Within our large group we all wanted to pay separately and our server accommodated this with no problems. I know that splitting a check 13 different ways and scanning all the cards individually is a lot of work and most places refuse to do it. However, our server never even made a fuss and never voiced any complaints over our paying separately. I really really appreciate this since it happens so rarely. This really stuck out to me as an example of amazing service.
The atmosphere is nice. Nothing to write home about, just a typical basement type building.
Overall, this isn’t a bad choice. Food is kind of meh but our server took care of us and I had a lot of fun here. I had to give it just three stars because the majority of the food came out cold.

Lovely spot to catch up with girlfriends. The server recommended an excellent wine and the food was absolutely delicious. It wasn’t too crowded, so we could relax and share plenty of gossip without rushing.

Wonderful evening with friends. We were puzzling over some wine tasting flights when we were joined by the sommelier. I have been going to BTG for maybe 8 years and had no idea they had an in-house sommelier. Indeed they do. We had a great time getting the download on dozens of wines, all of which he knew intimately. He was able to recommend a couple of flights mixing wines from all over the world into a superb tasting experience. Made for a special night. And the food was great, too.
Love BTG Wine Bar! The service is amazing with an excellent selection of wines and cocktails. Highly recommend!
We enjoyed our visit to BTG Wine Bar - they have great options for wine flights and the meat/cheese board & focaccia was a perfect pairing. Service was welcoming and friendly.

I visited this wine bar recently and ordered a $10 glass of wine, but was served a different one without a clear explanation. I only found out when the bill came that I was charged $36. It was disappointing and made me feel misled. The place itself is nice, but I hope they can communicate more clearly when changing an order or serving something different.
Food was amazing. We sat outside and it was pretty warm, but the jazz band was worth it. Yummy drinks and my mom loved her birthday cheesecake.
Another gem in the city!! Delicious bar snacks… the focaccia and burratta was out of this world. But the eggplant meatballs were the real star of the show. Unbelievable texture and flavor. The three of us wished we brought Yahtzee so we could’ve just chilled all night. The wine flights are awesome and the staff is super knowledgeable with great recommendations. Mollie was the orchestrator of a great experience. Late 1800 Scottish cabin/pub vibes. Great for a low key date spot or a chill night with good friends! Will be coming back!
So, I went today with a friend, and Ammon was our server.
He spoke to us about one wine on the “flights.” But my problem is that he gave me the bill and i gave him my card, and afterwards he came back after swiping the card and I gave to him more than 20% of the tip IN CASH. And when I saw the ticket to sign it I noticed he had already charged me almost 30$ in gratuity. Ill add pictures. It is custom to circle on the ticket before a card is given that gratuity has already been added in order to avoid this and as a server I know it is ilegal to add a tip AFTER a card has been given.
We ordered a few different things, and they were quite salty with a heavy hand on the garlic. I didn’t mind it, but my boyfriend isn’t the biggest fan of garlic. He also ordered his steak medium rare, but it came out well done, which was a bit disappointing. Overall, probably not ideal for a full dinner, but great for pairing with wine and a cheese plate.
