Cafe Rio Fresh Modern Mexican

Went to cafe Rio tonight. The workers were giggling in the mic. Super unprofessional.
Then I get home to find out I didn't get our chips and queso. Also my fiancés salad had cilantro on it when I asked for no cilantro. Very disappointed.

I've been going to this location for about a year, either the staff are to inexperienced or because I'm white they make my burritos smaller every time and smaller than the person in front of me. They're half the size from a year ago, I'll take a picture next time, I forgot to and throw away my burrito because it's not worth 14 dollars, scamming customers what a joke. Adding a tip at the end??? Are you serious, you're charging around 14 dollars for a burrito and it's half the size it's supposed to be you add a tip menu at check out, insane. I'll never tip there again.

Raw chicken in my salad. Bit into the chewy raw chicken after I already ate half my salad... Sucks cuz I used to eat here all the time. Hope I don't get sick

Update: I needed to lower my rating. A manager somewhere decided to remove the Beef Barbacoa from the menu in this location, and that is by far my favorite burrito protein. If they ever bring it back I will raise my rating back.

One of my favorite build your own burrito places, even though I usually get the chicken quesadilla. Nice fresh ingredients and lots of options. Can be busy, but they are really fast. Service is great, but the seating leaves a bit to be desired in the comfort department.

Food was great, fast service, clean bathrooms (ask for the code) and the dining area was so calm compared to other Rios. They have a drive thru too. It’s right off 21st so it’s a squeeze turning in and out but great spot.

Restaurant was messy, garbages were overflowing. Drink size much smaller than usual. Used to get free chips, but not anymore. App said food was ready, but it hadn't been made yet. They forgot to give me a cup for my beverage, abd my side queso. Queso was old & grainy. Burrito was poorly wrapped & fell apart. Usually this is my go-to, but I was disappointed. I threw most of my food away. What a waste.

I mistakenly made a wrong Internet order through the app. I live pretty close, so I went to let them know that I had accidentally ordered too many items. The general manager, Tanny, was super helpful. She was able to correct the order and get me the right refund for the extra food I had accidentally ordered. She was super helpful and made my experience so smooth. I will be a customer for a long time!

Ordered for the first time at this place for take out and the worst experience ever. We ordered fajitas veggies without any meat due to our dietary and religious restrictions and to our disappointment we encountered pieces of pork in it. Never stepping foot into another Cafe Rio again.
Those with dietary restrictions should STAY AWAY

The chips were stale queso wasn’t as thick and cheesy as it was before and they got the order wrong for one of our burritos which they happily remade and we got to keep the one that had been made incorrectly, so it worked out I guess.

Man I loved cafe rio for years and years but as of late I have actually reached the breaking point with cafe rio. Quality everywhere has gone down, people never ever get the order right in the drive through and they constantly get stingy with the meat. To top it off they change the menu and GET RID OF THE HABANERO SAUCE. This place is dead to me and I will not go back to another cafe rio. Ps this is the worst of any location I’ve been to.

I went to this cafe rio in Sugarhouse Salt Lake City to order a quesadilla as I always do. When I asked for the guacamole which always comes with it they said they were trying an out new menu and the option is a dressing instead of guacamole. Needless to say I was very dissatisfied and won’t be coming back to this location. Stay clear if prefer guacamole on your burritos and not salad dressing
